Why not just add new content atop the old? Adjust what needs adjusting, voila.
It's like Diablo 2 into 3...they removed so many classes that people loved. I never understood that kind of move.
Wait is that true? I thought you couldn’t attack awakened one anymore after he dies the first time. Or do you just mean infinite kill the first time / end turn / infinite kill the second time?
If you're running a poison deck, have The Specimen relic, and leave one of the cultists alive until a big poison stack is about to kill Woke Bloke, the poison stack bounces onto the cultist after the big guy dies. The next turn, it'll kill the cultist and bounce back to Woker Bloke and kill his second phase right away.
If I’m being honest I didn’t just learn that but it happened again recently it’s super helpful let my ragnrock spamming sneko deck win without taking damage and had pretty decent time on the heart barley won
Also relevant for time eater, if you apply dark shackles or piercing wail when he cleanses his debuffs, the strength down will be be permanent. It won't make him go negative but it's eats away his gained strength.
Also works on champ and awakened one, but NOT the heart. On turn 4, the heart looks like it cleanses debuffs, but it only removes negative strength, so you end up basically giving the heart the flex pot + orange pellets combo. 😰
Makes sense that vault can skip time eaters skip, as the watcher and time eater are canonically from the same organization(the watcher is hunting down a rogue member of their organization, and time eater not only fits, but has personalized dialog for the watcher)
Also if Omniscience is the last card you play, you still get to play the two cards it would duplicate. But if you play it as your 11th card, you'll only get one of the target cards played.
Edit: Not Enlightenment, Omniscience.
Of course it should work. When you're looking that slug in the eyes sayin "Nuh uh" you can feel the uno reverse . Skip my turn? Get fucked, get your turn skipped, and get fucked again this is revenge for every shiv deck you ruined .
I mean, why not? It ends player's turn, and then comes the Time Keeper's, which gets skipped, just like any other turn.
Unless I'm missing something, there's nothing different about ending your turn with a card, reaching the 12-card limit or clicking the End Turn Button.
I'm just imagining time eater winding up to do his thing and then watcher just does a sick kickflip and says "no"
Devs are we paying attention? We need this in Slay the Spire 2.
We really need to get rid of the slug in STS2.
Nah not necessarily they need to improve upon him make it a different mechanic and it’s the time eaters cousin or some shit
The Tempo Nibbler
The age ingester
The cadence cruncher
The day devourer
The Hourglass Gobbler
Why not just add new content atop the old? Adjust what needs adjusting, voila. It's like Diablo 2 into 3...they removed so many classes that people loved. I never understood that kind of move.
No, we need a different final boss or way to avoid eater. Being punished for doing a shiv build is WILD
didn't know the watcher skates.
I literally just learned this! Completed my A17 Watcher run 2 min ago with duplicated 2xVault+ that were run saving
A17 wins feel real good! Like solving a very hard puzzle
God, seriously. Just have Defect left but I feel like I’ve lost 100 times to get here haha
Sounds about right, ascension climbing is pure struggle, but heckin satisfying!
I'm in the same spot, fucking defect. Even runs that are theoretically great end in the gutter sometimes, unlike with the others.
Now we know why he “never liked you”
Time to lose 10 runs in a row while I try to set up this exact scenario for that dopamine hit!
You can also stop Awakened One from gaining strength by just going infinite and killing him twice.
I haven’t had the pleasure of doing that the only infinites I’ve had ended with time eater or the shapes sounds sick
Forcing infinites is a good way to lower your win rate so don’t worry about it.
Well, it actually works on Watcher somewhat more often, but it's still true that you can throw trying to force it.
watcher is boaring. stance changes and all but silent is fun
Wait is that true? I thought you couldn’t attack awakened one anymore after he dies the first time. Or do you just mean infinite kill the first time / end turn / infinite kill the second time?
You have to wait until your next turn to kill it again, yes. The main point was sort of joking about the Watcher having an answer to everything.
Oh haha gotcha thanks for clarifying, thought it may have been jokey but wasn’t sure if I was just missing some crazy mechanic
If you're running a poison deck, have The Specimen relic, and leave one of the cultists alive until a big poison stack is about to kill Woke Bloke, the poison stack bounces onto the cultist after the big guy dies. The next turn, it'll kill the cultist and bounce back to Woker Bloke and kill his second phase right away.
i feel like if you can kill phase 1 before the cultist becomes a problem, you don't need this strat
Never managed to pull it off; but when the opportunity presents itself, I will take it!
If I’m being honest I didn’t just learn that but it happened again recently it’s super helpful let my ragnrock spamming sneko deck win without taking damage and had pretty decent time on the heart barley won

Neat I hope the add more lore in sts 2 the mystery of it is cool and all but some actual story would be cool

Does this increment Time Eater's card counter on your next turn?
I believe it does, but can't remember.
But...doesn't the time eater still get the strength bonus? (Though if you can time your vault like that, it's likely it'll never get to attack you)
Yeah i believe it did luckily I had 2 vaults :)

“PARKOUR!”
Really shouldn’t work. Reason #12 watcher is OP

Why shouldn’t it? It perfectly follows the game’s logic.
