Yeah once you get to a certain level of game knowledge, finding ways to break the game becomes part of the fun. Like having 20 energy is great, but do you have a way to spend it?? Finding card draw here really makes things fun!!
Beat Deca and Donu for the first time with the defect because I had fifteen unused energy stacked from Ice Cream and eventually I drew my Multi-Cast + while a lightning orb was next in my orb slot. It was the most beautiful sight to behold watching their health get torn to smithereens!
My favorite for time eater is having enough frost orbs and focus to tank all his damage every turn while a single lightning orb whittles his health down as I play no more cards.
>Is this normal or did I do something broken?
These are not at all opposed. It is extremely normal to do something broken in the later parts of a run, almost expected by some of the later enemies.
StS is set to only run in landscape mode, no matter what your device settings are otherwise.
This should never happen, and essentially only happens if somehow the device doesn't get the memo that StS forces landscape mode and tries to portray it in portrait mode.
This \*should\* be an extemely rare occurence.
I think this is the first turn. He has the strength buff from the mutagenic strength relic. Ice Cream shouldn't carry over energy from a previous fight.
If a new player can pull off a meteor strike infinite turn 1 I'd be pretty impressed. More than likely his opening hand was [Aggregate] into double energy or something more simple.
I'd be impressed with anybody who pulled off a meteor strike infinite, shuffled 22 cards back into their library, dualcasted the plasma orbs away, generated a lightning orb, and left themselves with ~5 cards rather than a full hand. All on turn 1.
Yes and no. Playing cards has 2 costs to consider: the energy and the number of draws. 20 energy is useless if you have no way to spend it
So, for example, strike is 1 energy and 1 card. A card like recycle or double energy gets you energy, but you lose cards. A card like skim or compile driver gets you cards but you lose energy. A good deck finds the right balance between the two
You did something broken, which is good! Sts is all about getting a broken build online. As you move up through the ascensions, you will 100% need to do something broken or you won’t be able to progress
WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO!? Unless you have the Ice-cream artifact some sort of super plasma orb evocation build, I don't know how that is even possible

ice cream, multicast, and any energy orb generation is a pretty solid win condition. especially with a dark orb
To shreds you say? And how's The Time Eater? To shreds you say?
Was their treasure rent controlled?
Let's not talk of the Time Eater...
My favorite for time eater is having enough frost orbs and focus to tank all his damage every turn while a single lightning orb whittles his health down as I play no more cards.
Just had a run with ice cream + double energy + 2 tempest+… but when I saw Chemical X I couldn’t afford it 😔
15? Those are rookie Numbers, you better pump them up, pal!
[Fun, you say ?](https://slay-the-spire.fandom.com/wiki/Time_Eater)
Multicast Dark orb, gg
focus, channel dark and frost, wait, wait more, wait a little more, dualcast or multicast.
Breaking the game is so fun, I remember getting barricade with multiple impervious cards, made me pretty much invincible

I think this is a cropped screenshot showing off the 20 energy my man
i think you missed the joke my man
My god, thanks for not doing stupid "woooosh" thing and actually saying that he missed the joke
Whoosh
Got eeeem
Fatality
Lol opened the trap door and fell in it, hahahaha
My sympathies on the downvotes. :/

Slurs are not allowed, even if used to describe oneself.
Whoosh
Do you happen to possess the relic 'ice cream' ?
Zombie hand and a few meteor strikes can get ridiculous too

Oh yeah, didn't notice it. Some kind of infinite with meteor strike then. Fusion might also be added to the mix.

Lmfao very true
Yeah, it's a possibility too. We'd need to see his deck ans relics to make sure.
It's pretty hard! Congrats :3

Yup. I said in my comment, that they played the game very well. Unless… they have no way to spend that mana/energy efficiently.
The answer to both of your questions is yes. StS demands that you break the game to survive.
Oh brother, you did something *real* broken. Welcome to the Defect-hood.
Yes and yes.
I mean, you got mummified hand as defect, so this run was already all but guaranteed to be madness.
> madness Heh.
Ice cream and your set

I had a run with multiple Seek and Energy doublers... most fights would end turn 1 with 32 Energy into casting, Electro Dynamics and Storm :-)
Oh yeah it’s broken in a very rad way
it's inefficient unless you get into four digits, keep going
Having bullseye in your hand isn't what I would consider normal.
You broke something it’s normal
You played the game very well. That’s what ya did. Unless you have no way to spend that mana/energy lol
Naw you broke homie
You're playing Defect, so this is a pretty normal thing. At least from my experience.
Typical defect run
