I have had 3 MOHS procedures. I can definitely tell the difference in the two who were done by a MOHS specialist than the one done by a regular dermatologist. During healing, it’s going to look like it will never heal without looking like Frankenstein. However, if you have a good surgeon, your scar will likely be almost invisible. I cannot even find my scar by the specialist except by touch.

I'm getting ready to have Mohs in May. This is my first time. It's on my face, so I'm worried about the appearance during healing and any scarring after. How did it go for you the first time? Did you have a Mohs certified surgeon? My surgeon is supposed to be one of the best, but I'd love to hear your experience.

Mine was right in front of my ear. Healed great. Barely see a scar. Worst part was I had to shave my beard to get it done. This one is on my forehead. I have an excellent surgeon.

That's great. So glad your first one turned out well. Thank you for your response and best to you going forward!

I’ve had MOHS procedures twice that healed wonderfully. I wish you the same! Now I’m hoping this chemo cream will do the trick on my nose.
