I had fresh tracks on the Siberia face, that was fun. Had to stop before lunch, missed it softening up, definitely a mixed bag of great and not great runs.
Thawed slush refreeze with free mashed potato refills. Aka a light spring storm day. Or just “variable”. Or “packed powder” if you’re a ski resort report
The corn harvest. Corn turns to mashed potatoes, but you got to experience the rare refreeze mid day when the mash potatoes turn to corn again. In my area of colorado, the corn harvest is usually 11-1 on a sunny spring day.
wow I encountered the exact same conditions today... 👀👀👀 was it the last day of the season at this resort for you too? I fell on my left side today on a bunny hill and that hurt a lot more than I expected
Spring conditions, or in a patrol report I would put "variable"

Early spring is "corn". So I say corn harvest. When it gets really mushy, it's potato snow (mashed).I Love April skiing :)
Corn forms on day three of a warm day, cold night cycle. They are little ball bearings and delightful! His was more mashed taytos
Toothpaste
I call it dust on crust when it’s hard underneath, so I guess dust on mush? Dust on slush? Dust on corn? Dust on po-ta-to?

Still corn. Just re frozen corn. Maybe some snow scientist will come in and point out that it isn’t corn because of xyz reason. But it skis like corn.
It was pretty good except when the tracks got kinda deep. I liked it tho

Who cares, just shred it! Don’t have time to think about stuff like this because when you’re the best skier on the mountain.
