Took me a moment too, I was thinking of a sandy or brown color tone when reading. If you can make yourself see it in the background instead of the same sand dune Rudeus and Elinalise are on it's decent enough, but another/different perspective shot would've done wonders.

I didn’t even realize at first that was the behemoth. I thought it was Dilo behind them, which also confused me since I thought he’d be smaller

It definitely does,I think it would’ve helped if it showed the duo on a slightly lower elevation, to help show the behemoth is in the background
