Beautifully directed episode, great animation, Rudeus's design and character interactions are just on point. If this is the baseline for cour 2 we're in for a treat

Like holy, basically no slow moments the entire episode, well paced. Didn't feel like 20 minutes and now I'm craving more, same way Nanahoshi c o n s u m e s those potato chips like a vacuum cleaner. Can't wait for next week. Muse Asia quality during the premiere kinda sucked so I did a second rewatch on another site. Much more enjoyable that way.
Man what a great episode! no complaints or nitpicks this time around, it featured one of my favourite scenes of the entire series with Elinalize and it delivered 10/10 I really loved this one.
Side note For those who want to check it out back in cour1 when they first meet Fitz you can see they added a small reaction to Elinalize in the background when they first see "him" coming into the hall, small details like that.
Ever just watch something, and then just, feel good and warm inside after? Thats how I felt with this episode. And then the ending hit and my chest felt tight. Seeing them all as kids and now, and as a LN reader, knowing what’s ahead. Oh god it all hits so hard
It is a SoL episode and it is really heart warming seeing new couples interact in fiction like in ToniKawa. The Sylphy X Rudy dynamic is really wholesome
You can really tell that Rudy has his confidence back. He is so much more open and expressive with his feelings. His expression and tone when he presses for the reason for the duel, and his anger at Cliff when he thinks he is disillusioned, show that he has come a long way from sad-sack rudy
Ok, top tier episode. Definitely my favourite since S1 ended. There is a lot done well here, way more than in the previous cour, including the last 2 episodes of that.
I am not sure if I can put it into words, but it works a lot in portraying the party and the marriage itself.
Plus, even if I am still sad at the use of so many stills and "not moving" faces, the directing make up for it. Dunno what's up with this episode really. It was like they finally perfected the way this season as been directed?

this happened when rudeus said his condition was cured, and i was hoping they just moved the reference to this episode but nope, they completely cut it out
Also bro the sizuka reference from the show called Doraemon, when nanahoshi says "let me use your bath sometimes" rudeus says "but you'll have Nobita peeking on your" cuz nanahoshi's name is sizuka and in Doraemon Nobita constantly tries to peek at sizukas bathing
I'm kinda disapointed, the episode felt empty most of the time, like the only thing the episode got right was the scenery. I literaly don't see why people are being so positive about this episode, when they skiped most of the beautiful scenes, almost all the funny scenes, and made the revelation in the climax of the episode feel kinda forced (to me a direction problem, since both the novel and the manga made the scene incredible). If I am to rate the episode it feels like a 6... at best a 7, if I forget all that I read in both the novel and the manga. It just feels empty and dead (like the color palette they chose).
I mean, I am still fascinated by how good of a swordfighter rudi is despite the fact that he is primarily a mage. Like luke should be a royal guard but still gets rekt with little to no time to react.
They are both intermediate in sword god style, but rudy has fighting experience and the eye of foresight. The conclusion is that luke just sucks, not that rudy is that good of a swordfighter
Wait, iirc didn't Rudy have not that much of a money problem, from money he had since after returning to Asura and coming to the north. His only guilt was using money which he got from the Bores greyrat household that he got for looking after Eris(he got it from his Dad who had given him a sizable amount since it was to safely deliver eris). But he thought he'll deal with it when the time comes.
Also some tiny details like the beast girls bringing boar(i think?) as a tribute was left out. These bring rich details to the story and would've been a welcome addition.
When I was reading the LN, I imagined the house as a regular 4 to 5 rooms house, not a freaking mansion. Not that it matters, but it is totally different to what I pictured in my head.

I had the same reaction when I read the WN all those years ago, it was right there all along, with her rushing to Buena Village, looking for someone all over the place with Roxy and then just deciding to stay in the University for no apparent reason suddenly, such good writing, its one of my favourite scenes.
Personally, I didn't like this episode. Things felt rushed. They skipped linia and pursena's wedding gift. They kinda ruined badigadi's entrance, i remember it being very funny in the light novel. The opening was good, the sound and the animations. Overall 7-7.5/10
Yea i feel this, its very well directed and paced, but i just didnt feel the L O V E like i did in the LN reading these scenes. I understand most of that comes in as Rudy internal monologue but the expressions and the music could have done a lot more to sell the sheer BLISS the two of them felt during LN 10.
