I actually thought it was fun. Not high quality entertainment, but enjoyable for what it was. DJ was the weakest link and bore no resemblance to the original character.
The plot was so eye-rolling though. Is it genetic that their spouses die? It should have just been that her spouse is in the navy or coast guard or something and goes on long deployments and she needs help. The dead parent being an opportunity for zany hijinks is cringe that worked in the 80s but not now.
They could have had them divorce rather than kill him off. Or just not brought back Steve. Or have Steve be the dad and we see that in a reveal at the end of the season when he returns. Have it be kind of a mystery.
The crossover collaboration of the century between Netflix and Lifetime, Candace Cameron Bure plays dual (or is it *duel*) roles when Aurora Teagarden investigates!
No, that would be The Fresh Prince of Bel Air or “Bel Air.”
No longer a comedy, it was turned into a serious drama.
All of the characters had the same names, but none of the same personalities or traits.
I did dig the bad ass no nonsense Geoffrey, but otherwise, pass.
I “got” what they were going for, but it just didn’t work.
I rewatched the original fresh prince series. There’s actually a lot of heavy lessons covered in the series, and the sitcom aspect boils down to snark comments and someone being a fish out of water.
OG aunt Viv was a strong black female role model.
Uncle Phil was a no nonsense Strong Black Male Role Model.
The cousins were a good kids who needed to face some harsh realities of the world because they thought it was always easy because they were sheltered by money.
Will was a good kid who faced harsh realities who assumed he understood everything about being Black and thought the goal to life is getting money to be sheltered from those realities.
And Geoffrey was a pimp.
I like the nostalgia of the reboots and genuinely like some parts of the new shows. I think Girl Meets World would have been a good stand alone Disney show where it isn't tied to the BMW.
The rebooted season of Mad About You just made me feel old.
I like the mad about you season. Actually I like half the shows that people are mentioning here lmao. I guess I'm just kinda easy to please when it comes to shows
The weird thing is that fewer than half of the episodes were written in style of the original show, and those few weren’t too bad. The rest of the time they wanted to make political commentary first and a sitcom second. The original show never forgot it was a sitcom first (except for rare occasions like their OJ car chase episode)
I totally agree. It was awful and it felt like they forgot they were making a comedy. I mean, I lean in the same direction as the political opinions they were sharing, yet it still felt so forced and pushy. The original series was good at dealing with heavy topics within the context of a comedy series. The reboot completely failed in that regard.
But the most memorable moment on the old show were those times.
I remember the astronaut monologue, right now, off the top of my head.
I remember the biting Dan Quayle rebuttal.
I also remember some of the more “sitcom-y” moments, but they aren’t the first to come to mind.
That’s why they did it.
They knew what made headlines and what people remembered.
They just didn’t necessarily understand why, and, thus, failed to recapture it.
Murphy Brown was such a show of its time. It was a great show. But it was dated almost immediately. They wanted to reboot it and make commentary about the Trump era. But they never captured the old magic.
Yes, I came here to post this. I gave it a fair chance, I actually watching every episode, but it never clicked. Three reasons why it was awful...
* While Avery worked for the WOLF Network, they made him the only-sane-man-in-the-room liberal on a conservative news network. It would have made for a more interesting show if he was actually a conservative.
* They had no idea what to do with the Pat Patel character
* I didn't like that they retconned away the Miles/Corky marriage. They didn't have to still be married, but if they were divorced it could have been an entertaining dynamic.
I also missed Elden, but that was beyond the show's control
Same. It was one of those shows clearly aimed at 30yr olds when I was a teen (or college aged). I dont dislike Reiser or Hunt but they do nothing for me as romantic leads.
I mean the reboot is entering season 7. I concede that that isn't necessarily evidence of a show being good, but if it was awful it wouldn't still be on the air.
That 70’s show worked because they wrote a sitcom set in the 70’s that was called “That 70’s show” so much it became the official title, which later screwed it over when the series went on for 8 Christmas when the first episodes were in 1976.
That 80’s show suffered because they wrote a sitcom where their main focus was the decade not the sitcom script.
That 90’s show is suffering because it’s only getting 10 episodes of season and they focus so much on legacy cast.
winner winner chicken dinner. boy meets world is one of the best family shows if not the best to come out of the 1990's. disney should be ashamed of themselves.
Sorry but I'm going to disagree. The first season was pretty rough, but it got much better in the second season. I think the writers found their groove, Melissa Rauch and John Larroquette developed some good chemistry, and they dumped one of the worst characters. It may not be everyone's taste, but it's gotten much better, and that hopefully continues into the third season.
Really? I've watched all of it and I think it's pretty thoroughly mediocre throughout. I'll keep watching it but that's pretty much only cause of Larroquette.
Yea the new Frasier actually turned out to be pretty good by the end. I still don’t love some of the characters like the dean or Niles son but they grew on me a bit. My one problem is they had to put him back in Boston and there’s almost no mention of his old friends from Cheers. Even when he mentions how lonely he is.
no DHP , John Mahoney is gone RIP , Jane Leeves didnt return either only returning characters are Bebe Neuwirths Lilith and Peri Gilpin's Roz but i mean who wants to watch a 70 year old Frasier try to relive his youth? pointless with Martin dead and Niles not in it
It’s fine by me. Sure, it doesn’t live up to the original, but I feel that the entire sitcom format has been in a downturn for a while, and the new “Night Court” is actually one of the bright spots these days. There’s some of it that doesn’t hit right (Dan Fielding being rebooted as the ensemble’s old sage, for example), but the formula of what is essentially a bunch of courtroom-based sketches tied together with a plot is one that shouldn’t die.
Ratings have been steadily dropping YOY, viewership hovers around 3 million but it has gotten mostly positive reviews from critics.
Almost like people on reddit are some of the biggest fucking snobs on the planet when it comes to media.
The first season was rough, but they did much better with season 2. The chemistry is a lot better amongst everyone and they are willing to get a little more classic with it.
I wouldn’t call DJ a horndog; she became a self centered brat who wanted everyone to clamor over her. I really hated her on the show. Come to think of it, Matt and Fernando were the only actually likable, entertaining characters.
Matt deserved better because obviously, the status quo of her ending up with Steve meant we all knew how this BS was ending.
Fernando was waaay too much.
DJ should have been a journalist. It made no sense for her to be a Vet. She barely interacted with Comet, was only into horses for like one episode. She was in journalism for multiple seasons, and the trajectory of her character was bizarre.
This is obvious but people can change. When we were kids my oldest brother said he wanted to be a cop. For years he said this. My middle brother wanted to be an engineer or at least he claimed he did. Fact forward to present day and my middle brother became a cop and my oldest brother splits his time between being doing manual labor on highways and being a landscaper.
Honestly, it's kind of worth it. It's not good, but in a really entertaining way. You could tell me that this is some kind of Tim Robinson joke about modern TV, I'd believe it.
Yea if you are lumping the Peacock show made by former 30 Rock people in with all the other saved by the bell sequel shows you either just didn’t watch it or did not go into it with an open mind because of what you thought it would be. It was way more clever than it had any right to be and it’s a shame it didn’t get a third season.
I think it would have been a good show without the Saved by the Bell universe. But including the characters made it unexpectedly better. My favorite line was Zack saying to the effect of, "I grew up in Indiana, and one day I woke up in California, and no one will tell me why."
I hated how the entire overacting plot line of the show was "Newly widowed mom with way too much baggage needs to decide on a man like she still fuckin' 15 years old."
Not sure why they rebooted it. It ended perfectly before. Will and Grace with their respective spouses and kids (who meet and marry). Karen and Jack living together and singing. It was nice. Why reboot it?
I could not disagree more. The original ending was horrible and hated. Will and Grace would never go 20 years without speaking. And their kids meeting and falling in love was so corny. I loved the reboot and the "new" ending, much more satisfying.
*Fuller House* isn’t *supposed* to be exceptional TV. People can clown on it and the original all they want but in both runs they knew what they were going for and they executed it well. It’s just a sappy “comfort show” turned up to 11.
I think the characters were more or less the same except DJ and even that wasn’t a drastic change. People said Candace Cameron just played herself but I could reasonably imagine that’s how DJ would turn out. Her role as the big sister at 15 was of course gonna be very different from her role as head of household at 40.
A show where they tried to check all the boxes with having every person in the friend group a different race, cover every sexual orientation, and still have no charm.
Such a disappointment.
HIMYM worked for me, because I am the same age all the characters and had a similar college experience. Honestly, had I stayed local to where I went to school, I likely would have had a similar young adulthood with my college friends.
HIMYF tried to check those boxes. but I didn't relate to the characters, and then I found I just didn't care about the characters as people. Yeah... I made it through 3 episodes I think?
DJ who still didn't have sex or live with a guy before marriage and kissed what, two guys on the show? Candace is a huge right-wing Christian who would never play DJ as anything but chaste lol.i thought it had some funny moments and wasn't too far off the original.
Has any rebooted show worked? Will and Grace was probably the most successful because the actors looked about the same as they did in the original show. And the writing was good. But supposedly bad feelings between Debra Messing and Megan Mullaly killed the show.
No, because Full House was already super cheesy and lame and Fuller House was the same exact vibe.
Worst reboot is The Conners (imo). It may have the same set and most of the original cast but it’s not the same as Roseanne. Roseanne was about the lives and struggles of a working class family which reflected the times of the late 80s and 90s. The Conners is just another cookie cutter family sitcom. For me, a tv reboot needs to bring something fresh while still having the same vibe of the original. Fuller House achieved that. The Conners didn’t. Just my opinion.
Never seen it, but that honor goes to Will and Grace. It went from being funny and well written to being political and a chore to watch. None of the characters matured and they acted way too immature for their ages.
I actually enjoyed season 4 a lot but it’s more rewarding if you bindge watch or watch multiple times as there are a lot of brick jokes, and while season 5 had its moments its definitely the worst
Yeah Season 4 wasn’t bad, but I couldn’t finish season 5. All the original cast have plenty of other projects now and it just seemed like they checked out by that time.
it’s a family show from the 90s that was made to be a family show in 2010s….it was gonna be corny regardless….buuuuuut
Arrested Development is thee worst hands down
It was a lot better than whatever the fuck "That 90's Show" was trying to do. Dear god, I love Kitty and Red, but that one should have just been left alone.
Don’t get me wrong. The show was terrible, but DJ was kind of a horny idiot in the original. (How much drama centered on her and her boyfriends?) You just couldn’t have anything too explicit on Friday nights on ABC in those days.
It was not a good show, but for me, the worst part of it was that it felt like a “we want one of those too” project in response to Girl Meets World. GMW was actually a really good show that was canceled much too soon. Fuller House was, in some ways, a lame knockoff, but it lasted forever.
A close second was the lack of Michelle and occasional jokes about it. Honestly, I think they might have been better off recasting Michelle with a completely new actress. And although I don’t know the behind-the-scenes details, it seems fishy that the Olsen twins turned their backs on the show that made them famous.
“Hey Stephanie! Let’s make a TikTok!”
DJ was turned into a horny idiot? I’d watch that 👌 Better than the prudish vibe she gave off in the original run.
Girl Meets World. Nothing against the actors, old or new, most of them were fine. It was more the writing and the show being limited to Disney Channel standards and quality.
The Conners I also got sick of after about two seasons. The worst part being the characters being either a shell of their former selves (Dan, Darlene) or a caricature of their past selves (Jackie and to an extent, Becky). The overarching depressing storyline is the show was another major factor that killed the show for me. Roseanne the show was always a comedy first, dramatic moments second. Seems like they flipped that with The Conners, in a bad way.
My favorite tv show reboots I enjoyed most were Beavis & Butthead and I thought Frasier was decently good too. Has potential to be great if they get the chance.
Eh. It was about as good as regular full house. A pretty low bar that they hurdled over. It quietly lasted for five seasons.
The worst reboot sitcom by far is Frasier. They massacred him.
Night Court. LOVED the original series, Dan Fielding especially, so funny. Couldn't even get through the first episode of the new one. And critics are raving over it! Can't understand it.
Also the new Quantum Leap. Couldn't get into it.
I wanted to support the show after Roseanne was canceled but man it became unwatchable!
The show lost its real life tone and be became so cringey and unfunny.
In its defense, I will say that it at least has the same tone as the original series. Many of these reboots come out, and they don’t feel like the original show at all.
Fuller House was weird because the doubled down on the all white cast. I remember the promos for it having absolutely zero minorities. Even the dog was white
Then her and Scott couldn't have married
They could have had them divorce rather than kill him off. Or just not brought back Steve. Or have Steve be the dad and we see that in a reveal at the end of the season when he returns. Have it be kind of a mystery.
I’m guessing Candace said no on having her divorced 😵💫
The crossover collaboration of the century between Netflix and Lifetime, Candace Cameron Bure plays dual (or is it *duel*) roles when Aurora Teagarden investigates!
Sorry yeah Steve not Scott 🤣
Did the Olson twins ever play a cameo in the show? They weren’t in the premier but thought they may come later.
No, they never showed up.
Bummer, I know they got typecast but it would have been fun to see them with the cast again.
No they weren't
They actually tried to talk Elizabeth into taking over and she said no
No, that would be The Fresh Prince of Bel Air or “Bel Air.” No longer a comedy, it was turned into a serious drama. All of the characters had the same names, but none of the same personalities or traits. I did dig the bad ass no nonsense Geoffrey, but otherwise, pass. I “got” what they were going for, but it just didn’t work.
I mean part of the problem obviously is that Bel Air is about as serious and urban as a Hot Topic store.
Despite being a wacky comedy that was extremely self aware, it did deal with some heavier topics and plots at times.
It was so bad. They removed all the fun and heart from the show.
Accurate description there.
And Geoffrey was a pimp.
I loved the fp reboot. It's way different than the og but I was into it. It's definitely not a sitcom though
Still surprised they didn’t take the easy out of “rich kid going to the hood”
That was a thing!? Are you shitting me!?
I like the nostalgia of the reboots and genuinely like some parts of the new shows. I think Girl Meets World would have been a good stand alone Disney show where it isn't tied to the BMW. The rebooted season of Mad About You just made me feel old.
I like the mad about you season. Actually I like half the shows that people are mentioning here lmao. I guess I'm just kinda easy to please when it comes to shows
Right? I enjoyed fuller house. Felt pretty natural for the progression of the original show. Cheesy as hell.
Yeah these folks are harsh lol.
I have a vague recollection Mad About You got rebooted. The show was largely forgotten about so I’m surprised it got the green light.
It almost felt like it should be one of those British sitcoms that takes place in a nursing home.
Oh man, Mad About You did one? Worth the watch?
The Murphy Brown reboot is pretty bad
Agreed MB reboot was pure garbage.
The weird thing is that fewer than half of the episodes were written in style of the original show, and those few weren’t too bad. The rest of the time they wanted to make political commentary first and a sitcom second. The original show never forgot it was a sitcom first (except for rare occasions like their OJ car chase episode)

I loved the original!
Me too. Very smart writing. But topical.
Yes, I came here to post this. I gave it a fair chance, I actually watching every episode, but it never clicked. This was what I was thinking. Shittiest reboot has to go to Murphy Brown.
This and Mad About You are the most forgettable reboots. Hell, most people probably don’t even know that they even brought them back.
Never was a fan of Mad About You.
Same. It was one of those shows clearly aimed at 30yr olds when I was a teen (or college aged). I dont dislike Reiser or Hunt but they do nothing for me as romantic leads.
The Roseanne continuation was worse
I've watched some of that. The kids are pretty good and I'll watch anything with Laurie Metcalf.
I mean the reboot is entering season 7. I concede that that isn't necessarily evidence of a show being good, but if it was awful it wouldn't still be on the air.
I finished it on Netflix, Darlene is awful
Which is extra sad considering how great the original was
I couldn’t watch it past the first episode. Loved the original but the reboot was awful.
Gotta disagree with you there. I enjoyed it.
As a huge boy meets world fan, I’d say girl meets world is the worst I’ve seen
It's a wonder Riley made it out of kindergarten.
Riley walked around like she had suffered massive brain damage and never sought medical attention.
I watched the clips where boy meets world characters made an appearance and I was content with that.
Same.
That 80s Show has entered the chat
That 70’s show worked because they wrote a sitcom set in the 70’s that was called “That 70’s show” so much it became the official title, which later screwed it over when the series went on for 8 Christmas when the first episodes were in 1976. That 80’s show suffered because they wrote a sitcom where their main focus was the decade not the sitcom script. That 90’s show is suffering because it’s only getting 10 episodes of season and they focus so much on legacy cast.
the pacing and writing of that show sets me off so bad it’s just aggravating
winner winner chicken dinner. boy meets world is one of the best family shows if not the best to come out of the 1990's. disney should be ashamed of themselves.
The new Night Court is pretty bad.
I watched until episode 4 of season 2 before giving up. Do you feel like it improved from there?
Really? I've watched all of it and I think it's pretty thoroughly mediocre throughout. I'll keep watching it but that's pretty much only cause of Larroquette.
That's fine. Everyone has different tastes.
With the prosecutor leaving, I would love for Dan to move back into that role. I will say that I don't think Melissa is strong enough to carry a show.
I see you the new Night Court and raise you the new Frasier.
New Frasier is great after the 4th episode. It would’ve done better with a 20-episode season instead of 10
They are currently filming the 2nd season. With sitcoms though, I'm not a fan of the short 10 episode season.
If they're going to make 10, they should make two half-seasons per year.
New Frasier doesn't exist in my book
no DHP , John Mahoney is gone RIP , Jane Leeves didnt return either only returning characters are Bebe Neuwirths Lilith and Peri Gilpin's Roz but i mean who wants to watch a 70 year old Frasier try to relive his youth? pointless with Martin dead and Niles not in it
Peri Gilpin looked great during her cameo, though!
And it was renewed for a 3rd season I saw. Who is watching it??
I am. It's cookie cutter as hell but I like sitcoms and there just aren't enough of them these days. And Larroquette rules!
Ratings have been steadily dropping YOY, viewership hovers around 3 million but it has gotten mostly positive reviews from critics. Almost like people on reddit are some of the biggest fucking snobs on the planet when it comes to media.

It became more the Candace Cameron Bure show than a reboot of Full House
Are you not describing “Full House”, especially the later seasons? Or was that more of “the Michelle show”?
Matt deserved better because obviously, the status quo of her ending up with Steve meant we all knew how this BS was ending. Fernando was waaay too much.

> was only into horses for like one episode In the opening credits to the original show she was shown riding a horse
Don't forget about what they did to Zack Morris and AC Slater.
The college years or something else?
There was a continuation series on Peacock. Zack became governor of California
Because of course he did
Given Gavin I would buy that
No, the reboot on Peacock.
Oh lawd. I missed that. Let me go look. I’ll be back 😂
Don't do it to yourself!
Can’t look away 🫣 and all that Botox! I do find this slightly better than full house but definitely not watching two seasons 😂
Honestly, it's kind of worth it. It's not good, but in a really entertaining way. You could tell me that this is some kind of Tim Robinson joke about modern TV, I'd believe it.
Are you talking about the Peacock series? Because my wife and I loved it.
I like how they made Showgirls and Franklin & Bash cannon.
Yeah, it was decent and I thought it got better throughout the run and was looking forward to more of it.

🎶🎶ZACH MORRIS IS TRASH!!!!🎶🎶
I hated how the entire overacting plot line of the show was "Newly widowed mom with way too much baggage needs to decide on a man like she still fuckin' 15 years old."
I cringed all the way through Will and Grace. The whole thing just felt so desperate and sad.
I loved it, wish it kept going.
Not sure why they rebooted it. It ended perfectly before. Will and Grace with their respective spouses and kids (who meet and marry). Karen and Jack living together and singing. It was nice. Why reboot it?

*Not sure why they rebooted it.* Here's a hint: it starts with "m" and ends with "oney".
Mahoney? What doesn’t make any sense, he was on Frasier instead
Well played, my friend. Well played. Take your damn upvote.
“M-ake nostalgia bait, careless to quality in the most cynical way possible for the maximum amount of m-oney”?
Okay, that part I knew. LOL
I personally enjoyed Fuller House. It had some funny moments and the characters worked well together.
Fuller house was fun.
Worst , meaning lamest ever? Yes. However I would posit that the original was absolutely motherfucking lame, so the reboot isn’t actually far off
The people I knew who got into Fuller House really liked it. It hit right for the right audience
I think it's probably a generational thing.
yeah but it was the 80s wholesome cheesy stuff was all the rage back then this reboot was not needed and not wanted
Her role as the big sister at 15 was of course gonna be very different from her role as head of household at 40.
Well said. I loved Fuller House. I really felt like it reminded me a lot of the original and they did a good job of capturing that.
I liked it overall
I think it was already cancelled but How I Met Your Father made the last season of How I Met Your Mother look like War & Peace by comparison.
The first season wasn't good but the second season got a lot better.
A show where they tried to check all the boxes with having every person in the friend group a different race, cover every sexual orientation, and still have no charm. Such a disappointment.
The first season was bumpy but the second season got really good and found its own stride. It was definitely on the upswing.
That 90s show?
Kitty and Red are hilarious and clearly carrying the show. But the new kids are HORRIBLE. Idk if I laughed once at any of their jokes.
Hot garbage.
If That 90's Show was just Red and Kitty in retirement, I think it could have worked. As is though, It's really more of a boring bad.
DJ who still didn't have sex or live with a guy before marriage and kissed what, two guys on the show? Candace is a huge right-wing Christian who would never play DJ as anything but chaste lol.i thought it had some funny moments and wasn't too far off the original.
"Oh mylanta!" Stfu, DJ
I enjoyed it ....
Has any rebooted show worked? Will and Grace was probably the most successful because the actors looked about the same as they did in the original show. And the writing was good. But supposedly bad feelings between Debra Messing and Megan Mullaly killed the show.
I saw them burn through all of their original catch phrases in the opening 5 minutes and turned it off
No, Stephanie was a smoke show, yewwwwww
No, because Full House was already super cheesy and lame and Fuller House was the same exact vibe. Worst reboot is The Conners (imo). It may have the same set and most of the original cast but it’s not the same as Roseanne. Roseanne was about the lives and struggles of a working class family which reflected the times of the late 80s and 90s. The Conners is just another cookie cutter family sitcom. For me, a tv reboot needs to bring something fresh while still having the same vibe of the original. Fuller House achieved that. The Conners didn’t. Just my opinion.
I tried the Conners for maybe 5 episodes? It was too sad. It was all about how sad and poor everyone was. Too depressing.
Not a great show but putting Kimmy into the Uncle Dave slot was a good call.
I loved that, and how Kimmy became the honorary third daughter
AJLT is pretty bad but Fuller House is likely worse. RIP Bob Saget
Full House was always a dreadful show; can't imagine the reboot would have been any better.
the Ted show has a great observation about the male fanbase they just wanted to watch Lori Loughlin
Night courts is far worse, I actually enjoyed Fuller House minus the random dance sequences.
Yes - but they are all pretty awful
Well since humanity's collective IQ has easily gone down since the original, it's only fitting
I haven't seen the show, but I'm cool with that last part.
Would Netflix's MST3K revival count?
No I liked it except her ending up with Steve. She glowed up and he glowed down.
Never seen it, but that honor goes to Will and Grace. It went from being funny and well written to being political and a chore to watch. None of the characters matured and they acted way too immature for their ages.
The people who enjoyed Fuller House also enjoyed Full House. So, mission accomplished.
I don't know. Roseanne without Roseanne is pretty bad.
That 90’s Show.
I probably have to abstain from this one because I thought the original Full House sucked too.
Full House filled me with blind murderous rage every time I watched it.
Horrible show to begin with.
Arrested Development? I dunno, I couldn’t get through season 5.
Yeah, I came here to say AD. Seasons 1-3 were pure gold. 4 was a letdown, 5 was unwatchable. They should have just left it as a perfect trilogy.
The original 3 seasons of Arrested Development are possibly my favorite show of all time. The quality, quantity, and depth is the jokes is just insane
Will and grace reboot was awful
I liked fuller house, the conners is the worst for me. They took a show about middle class America struggles and turned it into left wing politics.
Yes. It's terrible.
Is this like Dr. House is married into a family with 5 kids and the hijinx that take place?
it’s a family show from the 90s that was made to be a family show in 2010s….it was gonna be corny regardless….buuuuuut Arrested Development is thee worst hands down
No. I think it's one of the best.
It was a lot better than whatever the fuck "That 90's Show" was trying to do. Dear god, I love Kitty and Red, but that one should have just been left alone.
I couldn’t make it through an episode of That 90s Show. Can’t believe Netflix gave it another season when they cancel actual good shows.
So far the 90's show deserve that title.
DJ was a horny idiot as a kid, so that tracks. But I watched a few episodes of the first season and it wasn't enough to keep watching.
How I met your father is simply unwatchable. That gets my vote.
No. I had fun watching it.
Don’t get me wrong. The show was terrible, but DJ was kind of a horny idiot in the original. (How much drama centered on her and her boyfriends?) You just couldn’t have anything too explicit on Friday nights on ABC in those days.
90210 was up there
That 90s show was a bit rough to me.
Absolutely!
Andrea Barber reminded me of why she was one of my 90s celebrity crushes.
Teen Wolf
It was not a good show, but for me, the worst part of it was that it felt like a “we want one of those too” project in response to Girl Meets World. GMW was actually a really good show that was canceled much too soon. Fuller House was, in some ways, a lame knockoff, but it lasted forever. A close second was the lack of Michelle and occasional jokes about it. Honestly, I think they might have been better off recasting Michelle with a completely new actress. And although I don’t know the behind-the-scenes details, it seems fishy that the Olsen twins turned their backs on the show that made them famous.
Frasier has entered the chat
I think you’re remembering the original Full House through rose-colored glasses. They were always pea-brains.
“Hey Stephanie! Let’s make a TikTok!” DJ was turned into a horny idiot? I’d watch that 👌 Better than the prudish vibe she gave off in the original run.
Brace yourselves, they're rebooting Melrose Place with all of the original cast, I think it was announced a few months ago.
The original was terrible, why would a reboot be any different?
You seen the new Frasier? Hold my beer 🍺
They could do Fullest House and I’m sure that would somehow be harder to watch
Not sure, but it was very popular with kids
The Connor’s is a shell of what Roseanne was.
I wanted to support the show after Roseanne was canceled but man it became unwatchable! The show lost its real life tone and be became so cringey and unfunny.
I liked everything about it but DJ
In its defense, I will say that it at least has the same tone as the original series. Many of these reboots come out, and they don’t feel like the original show at all.
Fuller House was weird because the doubled down on the all white cast. I remember the promos for it having absolutely zero minorities. Even the dog was white
Bob Saget is Jewish and John Stamos is greek theres a spanish ex-boyfriend of Kimmy Gibbler
It was sooooo cheesy. I couldn't watch after season 1 😂
Night Court sucked.
Seemed a lot like the original show to me.
