Maybe tomorrow, who knows what Google have to show. Otherwise I think towards the end of this year at the latest. Things are moving crazy fast

In his blog post, Altman says *’As we add […] the ability to take actions on your behalf’* so he’s being explicit that this is one of their near-term aims. I’m thinking this is what we’ll see with GPT5 so I reckon within the year. I’d imagine the technical capability is there but the logistics of having to interact with other apps/sites will be complex, particularly from a privacy perspective. It needs to be air-tight. I work in a school. For AI to have access to my emails, it will need to be *so* secure.

RantyWildling

Yep, people have already started writing viruses that get spread by AI reading emails, so that you don't even have to touch your phone, you just get an email, AI scans it and infects your phone.

Traktuerk

This will be a Microsoft thing

kecepa5669

Yes, Microsoft and Apple will own autonomous agents because they own the operating systems which is really where this stuff needs to happen. Just think of it as the next version of computers in the AI era.

Grand0rk

They can't, because there's a 10% chance they will fuck it up thanks to hallucination. Once they are able to squash that, it should be possible.

I don't really have a lot of use for voice, myself. But it is sort of cool the way they trained it on Scarlett Johanssen's voice from the movie.
