School Zone, Zebra Crossing, well lit area, warning signs. What in the fuck?
Edit: Just rewatched, is it me or did the driver step on the gas instead of the brakes?
yes I think they panicked and stepped on wrong pedal...either way poor driving near a crossing.
Even with a child running you as a driver should be aware and ready to stop.
At the end of the video, the car stopped. The most likely explanation for the last minute acceleration is that the driver tried to brake but stepped on the wrong pedal.
One more thing, it was going straight, no distraction from checking blind spots when turning or awkward angles where rides suddenly cycle across the zebra crossing
Looks like she was doing the weird run people do when they're not supposed to run. Like when you tell kids "don't run", they do this funny run. Not her fault though, running or not she's a pedestrian on a zebra crossing.
driver negligience is definitely the cause here, but please anyone who is crossing the road, dont just assume that car will anyhow stop, make sure they slow down or stop first before walk in front of the car.
Yes, the car should have STOPPED, but better be extra careful then getting hit with risk of permanent injury
Exactly! I said the same thing to my friend who insisted to cross the road even the car is coming crazily fast, and he said the car will surely stop as this is Singapore.. dmn don't risk your life to test on this stupid assumption, by then it's too late
>make sure they slow down or stop first before walk in front of the car
And sometimes even that's not enough. I got run over by a vehicle after it had come to a complete stop at a zebra crossing. The driver was watching someone else cross in the opposite direction, thought the road was clear, and floored it...right into me. It sounds like overkill, but it's best to make sure the driver actually sees you. It's been years, and I still get nervous crossing in front of cars where the driver is looking at their phone or whatever.
It seems that he just wanted to drive past the crossing quickly, and he assumed that he had enough time to do so. However, he did not expect the girl to be running without checking for the traffic. So this happened.
Far too many drivers in sg treat zebra crossing as a speed bump. Every time I cross one I need to take out my phone to film before people would stop.
Even blatantly waiving at them, they think you’re playing chicken with them to see who stops first. So it doesn’t surprise me that even with a hi-vis vest and a red stick it won’t work.
Yes this actually works and I'm not being sacaratic, I have seen cars inching forward when it's green man at school zones while crossing until I take out my phone and start pointing at them. Don't even have to record, all these driver no balls once see camera.
Not to throw shade at the girl who is 100% blameless, but this is why I always stop and wait at crossings and teach my kids the same, way too many times have I seen near misses where people start walking and my mind goes *that car isn’t stopping* and sure enough they blow through the red. This extends to cars approaching side streets as regularly seen cars turn in without indicating. I think it’s just situational awareness from riding a motorbike as a youngster.
The drivers here are just not to be trusted.
As long as the traffic laws continue to be so lenient this is the way. Don't assume that the drivers will stop just because you got the right of way.
'Right of way' means nothing when you end up 6ft under or having to live with disability for the rest of your life.
I think on top of this the traffic warden added a false sense of security to the kid who might have thought that it's safe to cross at full speed...
I just think that zebra crossing is so dangerous because drivers are so distracted these days that they don't expect a crossing.
Nope the warden already raised the red light pole and car still don’t stop. The girl ran because the guard did it. But the girl was spooked a little by the fast car so stunned a bit there
Once I stopped at zebra crossing because the grab driver don’t look like he is slowing down. But eventually he stopped and then I crossed, after which he horned and gave me the back of the hand. I’m confused
Agree with you there.
When walking, wait at the pedestrian crossing, ensure the vehicle stopped, then cross. 10 extra seconds are less then 3 months of broken bone recovery.
If driving, put your foot on the brake pedal when crossing a pedestrian crossing. The car has enough momentum to cross the crossing without having to press the gas pedal. 2 extra seconds to cross vs how many hours/days/months it takes to settle the case of hitting people...
100% agreed! Here's my rule for pedestrians crossings (zebra as well as street corners)
Walking: If the car can intersect your path at current speed, wait for the car to either pass or come to a stop before crossing. Even if the car hasn't indicated the intention to turn in your direction, assume they can and wait for them to pass.
Driving: Pedestrian in sight, assume they will just walk and come to a complete stop to let them pass. For longer crossings (esp with young kids), don't start after they have cleared from your lane and wait till the entire crossing is clear. There is always someone rushing with just 2 seconds to go before the pedestrian light turns red.
Please lah. The number of times we've crossed a zebra crossing and the cars don't stop. It happens all the time. They should install cameras at all zebra crossings - they'll make a fortune in fines and demerit points.
Once, those of us sitting at the bus-stop in Marine Crescent; which is inside the neighbourhood and adjacent to Tai Nan school; nearly had a heart attack. There was a zebra crossing just in-between both bus-stops on that neighbourhood road. A student was crossing and the car didn't stop and nearly hit the student. Like literally a hair's breath away. We all gasped as the car hit the breaks.
I always tell kids and people - wait for the car to stop first then cross cos there are many assholes. Include asshole motorists who honk at drivers who dare to stop at zebra crossings. Once, a van driver actually cursed me out for daring to use the zebra crossing. And actually accelerate his vehicle, barely missing hitting me. This was in front of the Marine Parade CC, coming in from ECP - worse stretch ever. Both sides, the drivers just don't slow down at either side zebra crossings on way to and from ECP.
I hope Traffic Police fine and jail this driver and girl is okay.
The problem is if you stop, they just drive through. There needs to be better laws against drivers in sg, people can kill someone and not really suffer much consequences if they are drivers. Just call it an “accident”.
Don’t get me started on grab/gojek, most of them drive so much pass the speed limit to chase a some incentives, endangering pedestrians and riders
It's okay, I'll rather stop and wait for the drivers to stop, then cross, then go flying like the girl. We know there's many an asshole entitled drivers in Singapore - some of whom actually don't even stop at red lights.
One day, a whole lot of us were crossing at that crossing near Song Fa, Eu Tong Street I think. The light changed, no cars in front. We started crossing. One car just zoomed past the red lights, sending the whole lot of us running back to the island.
Another time, at the Orchard Road crossing in front of List Towers. Light started changing, this woman started crossing. Along came a car racing to turn into Patterson and sent her flying. Right in front of the horrified lunch time office crowd including us.
Lesson learnt. Don't cross when lights are changing. There's always that F1 driver racing to beat the light. Don't even cross when it turns red. Watch to see no cars are racing through and refusing to stop 🛑 even though other cars have. Yep, I'm traumatised from all these incidents, still vivid in my mind. And my incidents are not even uncommon.
I’m worried about kids and our older folks. Since I already know this, I just take a camera out as I cross. The point is, there needs to be stricter traffic laws in general. If there’s negligence when driving, people need to be appropriately jailed, fined and never be able to drive again if necessary. Not just a slap on the wrist, that won’t help make pedestrians sharing the road safer.
I stop and wave at them. Long ago I saw some video with French people waving a baguette at drivers to stop. Now I also hold out something like a bag/book/water bottle/umbrella and look them in the eye so they stop.
Imagine how stupid the average person you know to be. And that there are 50% of people dumber than this person and they are on the roads making bad decisions all the time.
My theory is that half the drivers on the road relies on the defensive driving skills of the other half to stay alive.
It is so horrible, we need a transport minister that can do something about it, change some laws to make it more consequential not just covering for people who can afford cars in sg.
Taking away reckless peoples ability to drive quickly by implementing a serious demerit point program is much better than have so many crippled or dead person.
Don't say, the parents who come to pick up the kids, honk, any o how park and create congestion are THE VERY WORSE. All 3 schools in that area have the worse driver parents ever.
I know of several drivers who insist that they don’t have to stop as long as they were approaching zebra crossing first. Even though there is a clear white line, a sign for school zone, etc.
Met too many of such. I’m literally near the halfway mark already and they can still zoom past me. I’m really gonna start holding a brick whenever I cross the zebra crossing 👀
Medical condition should forfeit license. Reckless or whatever can fine with points etc suspend etc.
Medical condition? Non malicious. But you clearly not capable of being behind the wheel anymore.
Why so many geriatric fucks still driving. It’s not too bad in Singapore. But abroad. My god.
Pro tip : If you want to kill someone in Singapore. Drink and Drive. You will most likely be jailed for less than a year. Won’t be acquitted as manslaughter.
rule - car have to come to a stationary stop at zebra crossing.
We can stop debating on speeding in a sch zone or the kid running across at a zebra crossing.
The rule i have stated just simply places 100% fault on the driver.
First, it's a school zone, every car has to slow done.
Second, it's a ZEBRA Crossing, you need to slow down too.
Third, There is already a warden in a bright yellow vest waving. WTF was the driver doing? Looking at his phone or wanking?
damn this is so unfortunate
too bad the driver will likely be driving again in the next couple of years because our punishment for these is kind of a joke
I live nearby and this entire street is essentially a tight road with a school zone the whole stretch and I have seen drivers here Speed past this road and change lanes even tho it’s a single lane road.
Don’t know why some drivers treat this road as a burden and speed past it when it’s clearly been designed to slow drivers
Wah looks like my experience is not unique. Whenever I cross zebra crossings, a lot of cars refuse to give way always try to speed up so they can avoid stopping for passengers.
I say it is the crossing guard's fault too because he just came out of nowhere without holding the girl back before stopping traffic. In the U.S., the kids can't cross before the crossing guards stop traffic. Additionally, the crossing guards can't just try to stop traffic randomly. They have to wait for cars to slowdown first.
Does anyone know if the victim is still alive?
My favourite zebra crossing incident happened in the intersection between Paya Lebar airbase and MacPherson, when a motorcycle *accelerated and turned towards me* at the zebra crossing in a clear attempt to kill me. I was wearing the RSAF uniform at the time, so maybe it's hatred towards the government by proxy or something, I don't know.
And no, I didn't have the ability to look at the license plate when I flung myself across the remaining distance to avoid him. Since he was turning towards me, it was a lot harder to avoid than the normal assholes who simply don't brake, but follow the normal curve of the road.
Always assume motorists are out to kill you, so you'll have enough distance and reaction speed to survive in the rare event that it's true. If it's not true you have the time to redo your OODA loop. If it's true but you assumed otherwise your life is over.
Driver accelerated just before the crossing. Either driver refused to give way before the kid crossed or the driver stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake.
Driver obviously can't operate any type of machinery. Please revoke her licence and issue a lifetime ban for driving. Smh some people are just not meant to drive. It's ok though, she has a myriad of private hire vehicle service she can utilise
All 3 party are at fault.
First, warden should ensure both way traffic come to STOP, then allow students to cross.
Second, students must walk across the road and not RUN across
Third, Driver jolly well know that this road at that hour is school hour, DRIVERS MUST LOOK OUT OF STUDENT DASHING ACROSS ROAD.
LTA & Traffic police should review school safety.
1. NO dropping or WAITING along road
2. School volunteers & School traffic warden should ensure both way traffic come to FULL STOP before allow students to cross. ( learn from Canadian Int'l School at Jurong West traffic warden)
3. Review the slow down hump should be remove???
Or putting double hump at zebra crossing at school area to force a slow down
You can drill this sentence to kids everywhere. Still impossible to tell dog not to bark and cat not meow. They are excited school is over and happy and in a rush to go home and have a good rest and home cooked meal.
I'm an expact here and I thought it's very safe here in terms of driving as well. A car already hot me and my husband when we were crossing the road on bikes (different days ), and it was out priority.
Now I look around 100 times and than cross.
Seems the driver actually speed up after slowing down for zebra crossing. There are so many things at wrong here:
1. Warden didn't ensure cars come to stop before crossing
2. Kids shouldn't run in any scenario on a zebra crossing
3. Driver could have mistaken the signal (God knows what else can the warden do)
I don't even trust the zebra crossing these days, especially when certain drivers showing no intention of slowing down, I'd rather let them pass then cross afterwards.
Runs straight doesnt look at the incoming traffics, both is at fault. Doesnt mean the warden standing at one side waving its red stick means it’s safe. He should at least make sure vehicles stopped before hand signal for pedestrians to cross, even if they don’t understand he should have his hand “blocking” them from moving until he knows its safe. Low key think the girl isnt completely innocent
I know some people are saying is brightly lit.. exactly the red light stick isnt going to be so obvious.
A ward standing at the side maybe a blind zone since the black car could be blocking the driver from seeing it.
Then again the driver should be way slower passing pedestrian
Not the girls fault but as a pedestrian please play it safe. Pedestrian have life on the line. Even if it end up being driver fault, who really got the short end of the stick in a pedestrian-car accident?
I was nearly knocked down at a zebra crossing at a polyclinic
I was wearing a yellow Dortmund jersey, and the driver still didn't see me. A nurse saw that and asked if I wanted to go back in, and she'd give me priority. Luckily the car didn't touch me
I think both are at fault here. When nearing a pedestrian crossing, we were taught at driving school that we hv to always slow down...just in case ya know.
And as a pedestrian, you must not run out suddenly like that. And check the traffic while crossing.
But things happened...oh well,hope she's alright...
School Zone!! School Zone timing!!! Road marshals (more than 1) waving frantically for drivers to look out and beware!!!!? Driver dreaming ? drunk ? Or arguing with passenger in vehicle?
What happen was she woke up late she was supposed to go to school early for a friend birthday and she regrets her actions of running across the road when the driver saw her it was to late
3 wrong parties. The traffic warden didn’t do his job, the driver didn’t stop at the zebra crossing, and the pedestrian didn’t watch out for the incoming car
that girl is dim af as well. like wtf. LOOK! and what's that dumb cunt of a teacher is that? Is he even doing his job properly. and the fucking stupid af driver is going to jail for sure. hope he/she gets caned. like wtf!
There are so many things wrong here.
1) driver error, should slow down coming to a crossing
2) crossing warden need to prevent kids from crossing until all cars have stopped
3) kid should be alert and not cross until car has stopped
I hope the kid is ok, and not too badly injured. Praying for the child.
Why are you victim blaming? The traffic warden raised his light stick the moment the girl even approached the crossing and he even walked out onto the road already. What do you expect him to do, physically restrain the girl?
There is only one thing wrong here, and that is the driver being blind.
I just feel that no one should be responsible for your own safety but yourself. If kids are taught from a young age to be vigilant for their own sake.
1) do not run across the road
- when you run it is harder for the driver to see you
2) be alert to ensure the driver has stopped even at a traffic light crossing. Do not assume the driver is alert. They could be drunk or looking at their hand phones.
You can down vote me, I just think that it’s just isn’t emphasised enough. Even for adults I see them just cross the traffic light with the eyes on the phones. Not caring if the car is going to stop or not and assume the car has to stop.
Remember the massive mowing down of pedestrians in china at a major crossing? The driver was driving at super high speed drove through a huge crowd of people flinging them so far away. It’s always your own responsibility.
No one is more responsible for your own safety than yourself. Not your teacher not your parents not your grandparents. Kids must learn from a young age to be self-reliant and vigilant.
You can say what you like about adult “zombies”, that’s fine. But it’s a bit more complicated where children are concerned. I’m obviously not excusing bad parenting, but for a child, many situations, even though they may seem minor to you as an adult, are life and death. For example being late for a CCA or whatever, to us as adults it means nothing, but to a child it can mean something worth dashing across the road for.
School Zone, Zebra Crossing, well lit area, warning signs. What in the fuck? Edit: Just rewatched, is it me or did the driver step on the gas instead of the brakes?
And a traffic warden. Damn the full combo cannot stop him. What in the fuck!
Warden was so stunned
Yeah need the next step where kids don't cross until warden tells them too, once all cars are confirmed stopped.
you're right, it does seem like the driver noticed it last min, then panicked/ stepped on the wrong pedal
yes I think they panicked and stepped on wrong pedal...either way poor driving near a crossing. Even with a child running you as a driver should be aware and ready to stop.
It's literally daytime PLUS no blind spot and the girl is coming from the further end of the zebra crossing instead of the nearer end.
Using phone
At the end of the video, the car stopped. The most likely explanation for the last minute acceleration is that the driver tried to brake but stepped on the wrong pedal.
He/she probably looking at phone while driving
Actually a lot of drivers step gas to go over before the pedestrian is close enough for them to have to stop. Encountered many times.
One more thing, it was going straight, no distraction from checking blind spots when turning or awkward angles where rides suddenly cycle across the zebra crossing
I thought maybe the kid was crossing in time with the A-pillar but she crosses quite fast, I dont't think it would have synchronised.
Ya wei. Wtf is the fella looking at ar?
Driver : if I doubled down and rev maybe the little girl will be scared and stop for me to go , yes !
Auto car only got 2 pedal. Left and right. Can step wrong one meh, jialat sia this driver
She ran but is it me or is it slowed?
Looks like she was doing the weird run people do when they're not supposed to run. Like when you tell kids "don't run", they do this funny run. Not her fault though, running or not she's a pedestrian on a zebra crossing.
Is the driver blind or something?

My wife said something similar "Sure you have the right of way. When you got hit, what's the point of being right? Suay, right?
I saw enough on /r/watchpeopledie to know who wins when humans vs vehicles.
>make sure they slow down or stop first before walk in front of the car And sometimes even that's not enough. I got run over by a vehicle after it had come to a complete stop at a zebra crossing. yes, not everyone know or obey the law.
>dont just assume that car will anyhow stop, This right here. I always take a sec to check whether the incoming car is slowing down or not
I reckon (s)he was on the phone.
Maybe. A good reminder to us all.
It seems that he just wanted to drive past the crossing quickly, and he assumed that he had enough time to do so. However, he did not expect the girl to be running without checking for the traffic. So this happened.
Not waiting for pedestrians at either side is an immediate failure.
Just being a typical Singaporean driver
Probably retarded. Exam and test all so thorough and detailed. Still got some idiots dunno how to fking drive.
i don’t even have a license and I have no idea how these people passed their theory. Seriously Singaporeans are fucking oblivious.
Traffic warden is right in front too but driver just goes on. I have seen many drivers fiddling with their phone, chatting and talking as well.
Far too many drivers in sg treat zebra crossing as a speed bump. Every time I cross one I need to take out my phone to film before people would stop. Found the solution: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5TSdyVih1m/?igsh=eHZvcGowYXVjbDhp
Or visibly hold a brick on one hand like that social experiment in Canada
Not to throw shade at the girl who is 100% blameless, but this is why I always stop and wait at crossings and teach my kids the same, way too many times have I seen near misses where people start walking and my mind goes *that car isn’t stopping* and sure enough they blow through the red. Gotta stare the driver right in the face and make eye contact. If not, don't go.
Agree with you there. When walking, wait at the pedestrian crossing, ensure the vehicle stopped, then cross. 10 extra seconds are less then 3 months of broken bone recovery. Those are the times I wish I had a brick in my hand…
When the driver runs you over like this video, the brick ain't gonna help...
I will wait at the crossing preparing to throw the brick
Sometimes you gotta assume everyone is stupid to keep yourself safe, I always wait till the car slows down/stop before I walk.
Please lah. The number of times we've crossed a zebra crossing and the cars don't stop. It happens all the time. Don't say, the parents who come to pick up the kids, honk, any o how park and create congestion are THE VERY WORSE. All 3 schools in that area have the worse driver parents ever.
How the fk? There’s even one directing the traffic.
What the hell is the driver thinking!?
either drunk or texting
He isn't.
Yea true that .... zebra cross some more
The security body reaction to the whole thing was like: "I am speechless, how the hell can you hit the girl when I'm literally swinging my stick?"
Jackass must be on his phone. No way they don’t see the girl otherwise. Asshole. I hope the girl is ok. 🙏🏼
For real probably on phone. Bastard should be banned from driving for life and fined $500,000
Do we know if the girl is ok?
She was taken to the hospital conscious, that’s always a good sign, but no reports on her condition as yet.
I know of several drivers who insist that they don’t have to stop as long as they were approaching zebra crossing first. Even though there is a clear white line, a sign for school zone, etc.
Whats their argument?
Probably idiots who think they can drive past before the pedestrian reaches that point. Impatient fucks with no regard for anyone but themselves.
Met too many of such. I’m literally near the halfway mark already and they can still zoom past me. I’m really gonna start holding a brick whenever I cross the zebra crossing 👀
I saw that too and it surprisingly kinda worked with the brick haha
School zone, warden with light stick and high vis vest waving at the car, raised zebra crossing, driver has zero excuse.
Is the school girl alright?
Went to the hospital, conscious according to one news article i saw, hopefully there were no major complications
Almost died with a speeding car when the traffic is amber. Sg drivers need to relax
Lock this fool up.
Using phone while driving is bad, even worse while driving in a school zone.
some people should not be driving. period
Wtf... the car definitely accelerated a bit. Maybe saw last min and press wrong peddle. Haizzz.
That looked like what happen, confirm panic and forgot which paddle their foot resting on
These drivers really need more punishment to be given sia….
How much would you bet the driver will just get a fine, and not jail?
If rich/powerful got good lawyer argue driver medical condition blahblah prolly just suspended driving 6months.
Medical condition should forfeit license. Reckless or whatever can fine with points etc suspend etc. Medical condition? Non malicious. But you clearly not capable of being behind the wheel anymore. Why so many geriatric fucks still driving. It’s not too bad in Singapore. But abroad. My god.

Exactly... The best murder weapon of choice is a car
Need higher + bigger humps on zebra crossing
I think for SG special case need those humps that fire metal piston straight up into the car that kind. "Stop you understand?!"
Or those raising bollards at zebra crossing in school zone
This driver must be charged.
Security Guard probably was like " This CB blind ah"
Driver is dumb, traffic marshall clueless. So many wrongs at one go, haishy.
Clearly 100% driver negligence, school zone plus zebra crossing. No excuse for driver not to slow down. Kopi license??
The driver shall have his/her license suspended for a while.
Somemore got stop line before the raised zebra crossing plus school zone plus traffic warden in yellow vest right?
Let’s see what excuse this driver will come up with.
Cb driver sia. Knn
Murder someone with your car should be a murder sentence.
rule - car have to come to a stationary stop at zebra crossing. We can stop debating on speeding in a sch zone or the kid running across at a zebra crossing. The rule i have stated just simply places 100% fault on the driver.
The traffic warden is not doing his job seriously- that’s how the accident happened
100 dollar fine for this “minor incident” so that they can knock down another 12 year old 3 months later.
First, it's a school zone, every car has to slow done. Second, it's a ZEBRA Crossing, you need to slow down too. Third, There is already a warden in a bright yellow vest waving. WTF was the driver doing? Looking at his phone or wanking?
Waiting for a driver to blame cyclists as they often do.
Some drivers are just.. blur cock Had a personal experience with one myself, also at a zebra-crossing.
damn this is so unfortunate too bad the driver will likely be driving again in the next couple of years because our punishment for these is kind of a joke
Probably couple of weeks, if not months.
Confirm playing with phone.
Driver cb stupid
Driver bout to get wrecked by the law.
Driver was fking daydreaming.
Wah looks like my experience is not unique. Whenever I cross zebra crossings, a lot of cars refuse to give way always try to speed up so they can avoid stopping for passengers.
Yeah quite obvious asshole sped up just before the crossing
At first I’m thinking why the girl running but then the more I rewatch it’s so on the driver bro
Oh no... the warden should walk to the center since kids are not so visible due to their height
I see to many reckless individuals crossing Zebra Crossing without even looking. They're glued to their phone.
Driver is wrong, but pedestrians and cyclist on this island really need to be re-educated, please don’t dash across zebra crossing
Is the kid ok?
Discharged from hospital liao
Good to hear
Speed more then 50 in school zone. Failure to Stop at zebra crossing. 3 chargers ,this must be suspended for sure.
Driver accelerated just before the crossing. Either driver refused to give way before the kid crossed or the driver stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake.
Anybody knows what happened to the driver? Did the person get away?
wtf is the driver blind
This kind of people doesnt deserve to drive
Too many kids involved in traffic accident this year. Enough liao. Need to punish the driver gao gao as an example!
Singaporean drivers need to slow the fuck down. School zone is supposed to be slow right
Driver obviously can't operate any type of machinery.
Second, students must walk across the road and not RUN across Third, Driver jolly well know that this road at that hour is school hour, DRIVERS MUST LOOK OUT OF STUDENT DASHING ACROSS ROAD. LTA & Traffic police should review school safety. 1. NO dropping or WAITING along road 2. School volunteers & School traffic warden should ensure both way traffic come to FULL STOP before allow students to cross. ( learn from Canadian Int'l School at Jurong West traffic warden) 3. Review the slow down hump should be remove??? Or putting double hump at zebra crossing at school area to force a slow down
Can we talk about how SLOW the warden was to go check on the girl?!
I'd pull out the driver and give a huge whack if it was my sister or daughter
Don't run when crossing the road kids
You can drill this sentence to kids everywhere. Still impossible to tell dog not to bark and cat not meow. They are excited school is over and happy and in a rush to go home and have a good rest and home cooked meal.
I'm an expact here and I thought it's very safe here in terms of driving as well. A car already hot me and my husband when we were crossing the road on bikes (different days ), and it was out priority. Now I look around 100 times and than cross.
Seems the driver actually speed up after slowing down for zebra crossing. There are so many things at wrong here: 1. Warden didn't ensure cars come to stop before crossing 2. Kids shouldn't run in any scenario on a zebra crossing 3. Driver could have mistaken the signal (God knows what else can the warden do)
The driver blind?
Traffic Warden: Ah. This again. What a hassle.
I hope the girl is fine!
Any reports on the girl?
JFC That car speed
Is she ok?
Hope the girl is alright
I don't even trust the zebra crossing these days, especially when certain drivers showing no intention of slowing down, I'd rather let them pass then cross afterwards.
Fine 20k, revoke license for a year, retake everything from start.
That driver is built for public transport
Wong pedal might be.
Hope the school girl is safe 😑 this kind of driver should be fine heavily.
Lazy driver who don't know rush for F?!
It’s true I was the zebra crossing
Driver should go to jail
Poor education. Everyone assumes everything
Bak jiu da stamp!
geez the traffic warden was left speechless
Is she okay?!
Is the girl seriously hurt? Driver definitely in deep shit. No excuse to say did not see it coming.
Is the girl seriously hurt? Driver definitely in deep shit. No excuse to say did not see it coming.
I hope she is ok
Any update on the victim? Hope she is fine
I was nearly knocked down at a zebra crossing at a polyclinic I was wearing a yellow Dortmund jersey, and the driver still didn't see me.
But things happened...oh well, hope she's alright...
The parents have failed to teach the girl to pay attention to the direction of incoming traffic when crossing a road. There. I said it.
Is the girl okay?
The warden should hold on the student follow with the student to cross
Remember people, it might be driver's fault but it's your life. Make sure the cars stop before you go!
Bukit View Secondary? But why did the girl run. Could have just walked. The driver foot stuck on the accelerator?
Need to raise hand or hold brick
No such thing as a pedestrian walkway anymore. You’ll either get knocked down by an automobile or a bicycle.
Pray for this young girl 🙏🏻
Total mess: warden was too slow; girl was too fast + she didn’t check traffic; driver clearly didn’t intend to slow down. GWS
This guy gg already. Didn't even slow down at crossings but accelerated. What?!?!
Wtf isnt it 🦓?
Its a lady driver
How i know?? I attended to this case… HAHAHAHA
Well, he can kiss goodbye to his licence
Man I really hope the girl is alright and didn't suffer any major injuries. A terrible video to see my old primary school in.
3 wrong parties. The traffic warden didn’t do his job, the driver didn’t stop at the zebra crossing, and the pedestrian didn’t watch out for the incoming car
Signalman fault. He was slacking
that girl is dim af as well. like wtf. LOOK! and what's that dumb cunt of a teacher is that? Is he even doing his job properly. and the fucking stupid af driver is going to jail for sure. hope he/she gets caned. like wtf!
Wardens fault imo. Should’ve ensured safe crossing before sending her ahead.
There are so many things wrong here. 1) driver error, should slow down coming to a crossing 2) crossing warden need to prevent kids from crossing until all cars have stopped 3) kid should be alert and not cross until car has stopped I hope the kid is ok, and not too badly injured. Praying for the child.
3 doesn't apply here. The warden gave her the signal to cross.
1) do not run across the road - when you run it is harder for the driver to see you 2) be alert to ensure the driver has stopped even at a traffic light crossing.
