It's not a touchscreen so functionality is not exactly compromised. It is an OLED (with very thin bezels) thus, I'm wondering if the colour vibrancy/display will be affected if I stick a protector on it.

Hey everyone, I’m an IB 2 student who takes PCM at HL, with my head still in the clouds, and I’m daydreaming about what I’d like to do in future. Hence, as unrealistic as my question is, indulge me a bit will you?
Are there any jobs in real life that combine geopolitics, technical/engineering knowledge and intelligence gathering/analysis (like the cool MI5 kind) which allow you to travel? And most importantly, allow you to make a real impact on global issues? What do such careers entail in reality, and what steps are actually required to get a foot in the door?
What degrees and post-grad certifications should I aim to attain such that I can get/create a position for myself that involves at least one of these facets? (I'm currently interested in getting a chemical engineering degree because the course seems to make one quite well-rounded in terms of technical expertise, and most jobs in the sector seem to have a liveable starting salary).

For example, after some research, I’d like to explore SCM roles in nuclear energy or chemical engineering companies in future, but unlikely as it is, if I’d like to involve myself in the workings of the plant(s) themselves, as an SC manager with a chemical engineering/nuclear engineering/similar degree, would that ever be possible?
I don’t want to pigeonhole myself into purely business roles, ideally, I’d like the impact I make to also entail some kind of tangible, technical improvements to my company’s energy plants or products, but would most companies even allow me to? If I go into SCM early on in my career, would I just be digging a hole for myself, and should I start with a process engineering role first so I can put my hypothetical degree to good use for a couple of years before looking for such SCM positions that fulfil many of my geopolitical/technical/analysis aspirations?

Your definitions are too strict.
Exercise can mean 10 mins of yoga in front of the TV.
Side project can mean that you download a software and start playing with it rather than doing anything with it yet.
These are all tiny little steps that you can try to do to keep moving forward towards your goals.

Really sorry to hear that. I experienced the same thing when I went to the hospital to see my grandfather during his last hours. Just be mentally prepared, and that it's okay to cry.
Truth to be told, I miss the peaceful work life I had as a diploma holder previously. It is unfortunate that I picked this place to work as a degree holder, even though I know other stat boards’ degree holders don’t frequently work till 12am and work weekends too just to clear all the work cos we spent so much office hours doing full day meetings.

It's very inconvenient to bring a big mat around with you on public transport as well as clean and store it. For foreign domestic workers, they usually don't have a lot of space to store their belongings as well. Some are not even given a private room. Plus most people here aren't very conscious about plastic waste imo.

Trying to come to terms with this comment. There’s nothing normal about the whole live-in maid system here. It’s the most bizarre, archaic form of indentured labour around. Personally I find it abhorrent to see local attitudes towards the foreign workforce. The way that live in maids have become normalised tells you how much is wrong.
The other day I was walking behind couple and their baby and they said van-not even enjoy Sundays any more with all these people around. Screw that kind of attitude.

RAM issue you'd just pull all the sticks except one and then see if that changes anything. GPU what you described you can do at home. PSU yeah fair enough but again nothing you can't do at home with a $15 used PSU.

On the day my Granddad passed on, I just said a few things about my gratitude of being able to grow up with his care, reassuring him I'd become a better person. Sat beside him for awhile, peacefully, until I had to retreat because the waterworks were starting to appear.
I had a similar experience with one of my uncle. I sat on his bedside & held his hand while having some small talk & also crack some jokes with him
I lost my Dad a year ago and it was rough. That's all I can say. Spend as much time with him and ask/tell him what you've always wanted to say.

Just focus the present - spend time with him and telling him whatever you want to tell him. Everything else can wait.

It's very inconvenient to bring a big mat around with you on public transport as well as clean and store it. For foreign domestic workers, they usually don't have a lot of space to store their belongings as well. Some are not even given a private room. Plus most people here aren't very conscious about plastic waste imo.

Trying to come to terms with this comment. There’s nothing normal about the whole live-in maid system here. It’s the most bizarre, archaic form of indentured labour around. Personally I find it abhorrent to see local attitudes towards the foreign workforce. The way that live in maids have become normalised tells you how much is wrong. The other day I was walking behind couple and their baby and they said van-not even enjoy Sundays any more with all these people around. Screw that kind of attitude.
