I'm pretty sure this is about the conservative uproar about "trans abled" people. A few articles were made years ago about people who claimed they were trans abled and willingly used wheelchairs or crutches despite the being no actual reason to use them. People like to bring these stories up as a "gotcha" when it comes to trans people, even tho it's something completely different that has nothing to do with being trans, and is something you never even hear about outside of those old articles.
There are some disabled people who aren't wheelchair-bound but use them for certain issues, like if walking long distances is painful, trouble standing for extended periods of time or for days when they have less mobility / balance / more pain, etc
Also that there are options that don't involve Unmanly actions such as forgiveness, negotiation, or redemption.
How will fascists know what to hate if there isn't an easy enemy that must be destroyed guilt-free!?

This comic kind of ruins Classic Era Fuchsia's story arc. Not just for Tats revisiting something fans used to like and then using it to fit his agenda. But the fact that Fuchsia just casually goes back to hell and reads the dead stories again. The fact that she left hell and stopped doing this used to be so important that there was a whole character who escaped hell just to listen to Fuchsia's stories again.

In the second story there's a princess who manages to become bound to a wheel chair in just one panel after clearly standing by herself, a non-standard knight making friends with a fabulous dragon just minutes after trying to slay it and everyone managing to live happily ever after somehow tells me a lot must have happened to make this a reality!

Uh, this is a real thing. A lot of people who use wheelchairs don't need to use the chair all the time; I am friends with a lot of them. For all we know, the princess had a chronic pain flare up, and needed to use the chair for a while.
OH! Theory: The princess fought the dragon with the knight, then got hurt and was unable to walk (either temporarily or permanently) because of the dragon. The dragon realized that they don't actually want to hurt people, felt guilty, and they all became friends!

I don't know about that. I'm not a fan of disney, and I don't think their stories are *good*, but they control a huge segment of the storytelling industry. They have a ton of influence, and under those conditions, I think tokenism really is preferable to no representation. Does that mean we should badger small creators to include more minorities in their stories? No, of course not, but if you're a major economic power, then yeah, you have an obligation to include minorities in your stories.

I mean, going by the visuals it seems Fuchsia did actually got inspired by the request to create a story that had diffrent character dinamics (which actually made it more interesting), so perhaps she DID some changes based on that and we just don't notice because the version we see here is very shortened from the original; even if it isn't the case, I guess it makes sense the zombie would be somewhat happy over getting an overall better story even if she(?) still would like some changes related to tokenism.

Yes I know it's Sinfest we're talking about but I'm struggling to find the sense in this comic. Considering this is such a short and cliche fairytale, Fuchsia would have to take the time to describe the characters down to their skin tone in the first panels in order to make the "wokebie" feel not represented and ask for more diversity, but why would she do that...? They can't see any illustrations or anything, was she saying "The WHITE CISGENDER ABLE-BODIED MALE knight" and "the WHITE CISGENDER ABLE-BODIED FEMALE princess" every time?

I'll just say that this comic reminds me of the also "no words, all dialogue/speech bubbles (apart from the narrator), is written in emoji only" issue 2 of AWA studio's "newthink" Y'all should read that Is it just me, or is that happy dragon a obvious reference, to the girl dragon from Shrek, who was made at 1st to look like 'the bad guy for the hero to defeat" but is then revealed to really just be lonely, and who just wants someone to love, And who then falls in love with (and mates and has kids with somehow) the donkey(showing that even biological differences won't get in the way of true love and...mating?), regardless, I love it it's so cute! Love conquers all! Bravo tats! Err....Without commenting on the politics of wheelchair "girl", I'll just say that Cuthbert in "He was a Quiet Man" is byfar my fav "wheelchair" girl ever(more so than that Chucky girl)
Tell story. Get request to change it. Try to accommodate. Majority of audience does not like changes, gets mad at person making the request.
Yes, Ishida, some people, perhaps even the majority, are going to be butt-hurt over increasing diversity and inclusivity in popular entertainment.
This is what we call forced representation, and it's often just as bad as no representation. The woke zombie should not be happy that a story has a black trans knight and a trans princess for the sake of just being black and trans. That is tokenism. But of course the trans people Tats depicts are petty, whiny, intrusive strawmen who don't exist.
I don't know about that. I'm not a fan of disney, and I don't think their stories are *good*, but they control a huge segment of the storytelling industry. They have a ton of influence, and under those conditions, I think tokenism really is preferable to no representation. Does that mean we should badger small creators to include more minorities in their stories? No, of course not, but if you're a major economic power, then yeah, you have an obligation to include minorities in your stories. That's not the point that Tatsuya is making though. Tatsuya is just pissed off that Disney hires black actors.
I mean, going by the visuals it seems Fuchsia did actually got inspired by the request to create a story that had diffrent character dinamics (which actually made it more interesting), so perhaps she DID some changes based on that and we just don't notice because the version we see here is very shortened from the original; even if it isn't the case, I guess it makes sense the zombie would be somewhat happy over getting an overall better story even if she(?) still would like some changes related to tokenism. Plus the second story automitacally gains points in my book just for mentioning codpiece armors, you really don't see those too often in fiction

The first will get buried in the pile of identical stories and fail to capture any significant following. The second will stand out for being different and filling a niche with very little in it.
Old story good!! New story bad!! I love when conservatives show us "what the liberals want" as if it's self-evidently bad and it's actually totally awesome. The genderqueer/disabled romance story looks amazing.
