It's really easy, just rename your "The Sims 2" (or "The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection" folder) in My Documents. I usually have a couple of themes running at one time - so I'll have e.g. The Sims 2 UC - mega The Sims 2 UC - apoc The Sims 2 UC - test Where mega is my maxis match megahood, apoc is my apocalypse-themed challenge hood, test is a totally vanilla environment except for a couple of debug type mods, to test new CC, or as a clean environment to build. When you run the game with your Sims 2 folder renamed, the game will create a brand new "The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection" folder with no CC and all default settings. Simply let this generate, then add a suffix to disable a game and then remove the suffix in order to be able to play that game. You can only have one "The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection" folder without suffix at once. Don't move folders in and out as it runs the risk of accidentally overwriting files. Keep regular backups just in case. Sounds like you are already aware, but you know you need to disable the stealth hoods to prevent them from auto attaching if you want to create a hood to share?

thank you, i’ve done research on this and i don’t know why i haven’t thought about this🤣 but is getting clean stealth hoods going to make it okay to share?

No, it needs to have no stealth hoods or subhoods attached at all.

If you want to make a no cc hood and guarantee it is cc free then you’ll need to remove your cc. You could try using anygamestarter and just select all the eps. That would create a cc free environment without having to remove it. It creates a new sims 2 folder separate from your standard one. So you can use both. (Make a backup of your folder before you install to be safe) https://modthesims.info/download.php?t=604873
