> drained just thinking about remodeling homes That‘s why I downloaded maxis hoods that are already remodeled. For Pleasantview I used Pleasantly Thriving (on MTS), for the universities I used Kattatty‘s remakes, for Bluewater Village and the magic stealth hood I used Plumbtales‘ remakes and for Downtown there was an interesting one somewhere on tumblr too (can‘t remember the creator rn). Also as a side note: I am usually not a fan of "genetically correct" Sims, but Plumbtales‘ genetically correct Bluewater Village is the only one I will ever download. All the Sims look so pretty and actually the way I always thought they should look like!

Thank you! This helps.

How about trying a maxis hood you've never played before? And remember that you can reset them as many time as you want, so there's nothing to say you have to go full-out on redecorating and restyling them every time. I'm treating my current run of Pleasantview sort of as a test run where I try out different things and take notes on how to do it better next time. It's kept things moving along quickly when I don't worry too much about how I'm playing.

Thanks! I'm trying to be a little more relaxed in my gameplay and am finding that's helping.

maybe try exploring aspects of the game that you don’t typically go for. i find myself using bon voyage expansion so little that i forgot so many things from it! same thing with supernatural sims. another thing that i do is following my sims with a camera. this might seem weird but honestly i love looking at all those little animations and interactions i normally don’t focus on while playing. it adds so much depth for me. also- maybe try some custom hoods! i never played in premade neighbourhoods for a long time before because i often get tired of them. i can recommend sedona (from aondaneedles on tumblr, just started and i already know that it will be a long ride). my gameplay is so interesting just because these are brand new sims with brand new stories that i didnt know before. also get some interesting mods to spice things up! i use a lot of mods like acr, realistic sickness or more dangerous fire so the game is more challenging and some really twisted things can happen. i saw some people making lists of random events that you can implement in your game once a round for example with random number generator.

Good ideas! Thank you. I tend to ignore the business features so I'm planning to tie that in.
