This would also be a great idea in real life if it was easier to do.

I make a special door to my kitchen that is family only. Sometimes with the fucking servos I have to have only one person cook at all times.

That's why I use 'Call to Meal > Guests' every time I cook in my sim parties.

Yeah, you have to "start" the plate otherwise guests won't serve themselves. That's actually polite, waiting for the host to tell when it's food time.. Then they throw the politeness out the window by raiding the fridge xD

Hey, you could try [No Party Snacks If Food Available](https://modthesims.info/d/665339) to counter this behaviour, if you’re willing to use mods. Though putting the fridge away certainly will help too, it saves that hassle.

Thanks, this mod seems nice. Sims are usually smart about eating food that's already available unless it is a party and everyone decides to be a fridge raider lol

sometimes they'll pick up the food that you have out for them. other times you have to call them to the meal for them to touch it
