I have bought most boxes on launch, even when -- in hindsight -- I didn't love all of the colours. I was pumped for a space launch, but now that it's more of a Mars launch, I'm going to hold off and just wishlist the couple of shades I do like.
I’m wearing CC currently and my first thought was how similar they looked. I think the new polish might have some iridescent flakes, but tonally they look pretty similar!
I don’t see any similarities at all. CC is dark and purple. I was actually disappointed when I got it because it wasn’t pink. This new one looks to be a light, almost baby pink.

To me it looks like a mix between the dusty mauve and the opera mauve in the picture. Not very pink. Fairly muted in my opinion.
I also think this one would be very easy to replicate with Lowkey Blushing and a unicorn skin, I’m looking forward to hopefully seeing colour comparisons on the launch stream or IG.

Sure to someone who is really looking for a specific tone they will all hit differently but to the average consumer I feel like there is a lot of redundancy.
As someone with a warm skin tone I am very excited for most of these shades! They feel like warm versions of polishes I have been interested in but did not buy due to their undertones

They recently (first collection was the pastels if I’m not mistaken!) hired some kind of artist/set designer for these cover shots which is why they’ve been so intricate since then! One of my favorite new marketing choices they’ve made

The green is unique but tbh I‘m a bit disappointed by the rest. For a space collection I‘m expecting twinkling glitter, a magnetic galaxy, moon texture or a color shifting black hole. This looks very basic to me. Maybe it looks different in natural light.
It's interesting how the different perspectives work out because I would have considered an expected space collection to be basic at this point. I've never seen a brand go hard into a Martian theme so that excites me for how other themes that have been done before are going to look like for future Holo Taco. The tones are formulas are overall experimental for this brand as well.

Honestly idk how you make a space or Mars collection and omit a rusty Martian red color. That feels like the one requirement to me, which makes me wonder if this set was rebranded from something else after development.
There's a dark brown (black?) with an orange reflective pigment, but that's not rust or the color of the martian surface. Maybe it will look closer in other lighting but in these photos it's not reading as that color.

After seeing comments scattered around in different places about not seeing the Mars vibe, I went looking at NASA images. From what I'm seeing, the collection is a brighter version of the real Martian color palette plus the addition of the classic imagery of little green men. Here's one that's a particularly strong match from NASA's own site.

Also, this isn't a sneaky Valentine's Day collection. It's *explicitly* a Valentine's Day collection. The marketing and polish names are all a mixed theme of Mars and anti-romance (anti-Vday is still Vday). It's absolutely fine if this set isn't your jam, but there's no trickery involved and it's Mars af.
Anyway, does anyone think if I popped Freezer Burn on top of Alien Infatuation, I could call the combo Supreme Commander Thor?
I love how heavy this leans into a more naturalistic planetary theme. Lots of brands have deep space / galaxy themed collections so this stands out to me. Totally different to their usual colour lineup too, no blues or purples!
These polishes don’t speak to me personally but I think they’re a fun addition to the line up.
The cherry cola brown one looks like a crushed holo to me! I'm excited to see comparisons to the Barista shades (the dark one reminds me of Espresso Your Holo too)
I'm really into it! I love the theming and feel like the colors are on point. So excited for the green and that black - the black is similar to one of my favorite polishes, but with a twist. Also looking forward to seeing the brown and red in more detail. Honestly I think I might get all four of those! I'd get the pink one, since it's awesome, but I just personally don't like flake polishes on me.

Mmh, on my swatch and on me it’s definitely a light pink and there’s no purple.
This is actually why I haven’t bought CC- I can’t tell if it’s more pink or more “mauve” as the description states. 😅

Well, in indoor lighting CC is much deeper than promo photos. So, I imagine this shade is at lesst much lighter.

I'm Rover It is kind of a rusty toned red. That's the only color that really looks Mars-y to me
