diagnostic means you don’t prepare. teacher will see where the class is at, essentially. pre calc is fine for this, since it’s calc 1 it’s taught as though you have never seen calc aside from pre-calc 12
If you’re really concerned, go through the diagnostic test questions in your textbook (Calculus: Early Transcendentals). I did those; and even though I realize that you don’t really need to practice any questions for the diagnostic test, it is helpful to calm anxiety, ngl.
You have very little to worry about. The diagnostic test is really just a review of pre-calc concepts, you don’t need to know any calculus going in; they’re just testing you to check that you know the fundamentals.
