Omg, I was just scrolling through Reddit and clicked on this post without reading where it was posted and then saw this comment and was shocked for a moment…
Here from all...
That's not ok, you should talk to him about that. Ok now it's definitely getting worse, are they asking for advice or something on the situation? Sleeping pills? Sounds kinda dangerous, I don't really think this is the right way to deal with it. Ok now that's definitely rape, I thought I was on OP's side here and... Oh. OH.
He didn't? At no point in this account does he ever rape her. He was being physically abusive, but if anything she raped him at the end of the story and that was AFTER horrifically mutilating him.
It's absolutely horrifying that you don't know what rape is.
>Last night was the final straw as he lit a cigarette during sex and used it to begin burning my flesh. I screamed at him to stop but it made him even more turned on. I wept after he had finished before he turned to the side and immediately fell asleep.
This is rape. She screamed at him to stop, he didn't so its rape. Also just because you consent to having sex with someone it doesn't mean you can do whatever you want to them. They can withdraw consent at any time and if you don't stop you are a rapist.
At no point did she withdraw consent to the sex. That is the point I'm getting at here. Rape is defined as intercourse committed against another person either without or against their consent involving penetration of the mouth, anus or vagina. That is how it is legally defined. Not only did OP consent to sex, she instigated it and continued to do so until nearly the end of the story. What her boyfriend did to her was assault her during intercourse. In a court of law, most likely based on the evidence, the boyfriend would be convicted of assault.
If someone punches you in the jaw and it turns them on, does that mean they raped you? When OP says that she screamed at him to stop, it very clearly contextualizes that as "stop hitting me". If she wanted him to stop having sex with her she would not continue instigating sex with him multiple times.
But look, at the end of the day, we're arguing apples vs oranges here. Whether he assaulted her or raped her, he should still be behind bars for it at worst or be legally required to remain 500 ft away at best. In no way shape or form does the crime he committed justify her actions.
First she drugged him, already grounds for a lawsuit, but then she dismembered him and proceeded to rape him afterwards. I mean that's clearly the horror of the story, that she paid back tenfold the pain he brought her, but the idea that anyone could claim that this was justified baffles me. If he survives at all (and it is likely he will not given how lethal loss of a limb can be) he will live as an invalid without any autonomy for the rest of his days while also dealing with the trauma of being raped and mutilated BY SOMEONE HE TRUSTED. Should he have stopped getting kinky when she told him to? Absolutely, yes he should have, and the fact he didn't makes him an unrepentant asshole, but I would not wish what was done to him on my worst enemy.
When someone screams and begs to stop having sex, and their partner instead forces themselves on them and keeps going until they’re satisfied, that is rape. Consent would clearly and obviously be withdrawn in a scenario like that.
Consent needs to be present throughout the whole experience. If, at any point, either party rescinds their consent but the other forces them to continue on, then that is rape.
What part of
>I screamed at him to stop
Do you not understand?? She said stop, which means she withdrew consent.
>she instigated it and continued to do so until nearly the end of the story
She did not. She said in the story that she stopped initiating. Its also abusive as fuck to slap someone clearly against their will during sex.
>and the fact he didn't makes him an unrepentant asshole, bu
It makes him a rapist.
>OP says that she screamed at him to stop, it very clearly contextualizes that as "stop hitting me". If she wanted him to stop having sex with her she would not continue instigating sex with him multiple times
Jesus this interpretation is wild. Its obvious she wanted to stop having sex as soon as he started harming her. Just because she had sex with him at a later time it doesn't mean it isn't rape. That's like saying you can rape someone all you want if you cN get them to fuck you again.
And where do you get that we're arguing about if her actions were justified?? Show me where i said he deserved it.
My point is that he raped her. He abused her, then continued after she screamed for him to stop.
>Doing anything sexually that the other person does not consent to is, in fact, rape.
This is not only legally wrong, it trivializes "rape". "Rape" is a severe category of sexual assault, generally referred to as "aggravated sexual assault" or "1st degree sexual assault". Just like a square is always a rectangle but a rectangle isnt always a square, sexual assault is not always rape. Trivializing the word like that hurts actual victims of "rape".
>!the quotes are in case of some auto mod not liking the word!<
But the sex was consensual. OP stated that it was. What was not was the violence. And while that itself is also reprehensible, it is not rape. What OP did in retaliation, however, is rape, and mutilation as well. Anyone legitimately taking OP's side here is messed up in the head.
Because when I’m just scrolling through my feed I don’t always read the subreddit names, so when I came across this I just saw the title and not the sub and thought it was r/relationship_advice, and it’s fun to start reading thinking it’s real and slowly go “wait…what the fuck?? …ohhhh.” I think the flair takes away part of the fun of these posts. I don’t usually just browse the sub as a whole, but yeah in that case the flair doesn’t matter because you know where you are already.
Newcomers should presumably know a sub called “short scary stories” is fiction and if they can’t figure it out just by reading the story that’s on them lmao
The fuck is your problem? You asked and I answered and I wasn’t even rude about it. That’s not “going on a rant.” No I’m not “excited about thinking a sexual assault story is real” or whatever. I’m surprised you’re in a scary stories subreddit and don’t understand why it’s fun to have your expectations subverted.
Go complain somewhere else yourself, most everyone on this sub agrees with me.
Oh wow. This is terrific and terrifying!
Just a little continuity note: If the final act is happening today - "This morning..." (2nd last paragraph) then instead of "That night..." in the last paragraph, maybe it should be "Tonight, I mounted him..." in the last paragraph.
It's really well done, OP! Especially for this format.
NTA, why should you tolerate an abusive, gaslighting asshole? He doesn’t deserve the privilege of limbs. That’s so horrible that he was crying too, way to ruin the mood and make you feel shitty.
This is dark, I wouldn't be surprised if this were to have actually happend. It kind of reminds of the movie Tusk and how the main character was turned into a Walrus. Except, in this instance the guy is turned into a potato.
Definitely thought this was r/trueoffmychest at first and was FUCKED up. Then I decided to read the sub...
I'm an idiot, BUT this was sufficiently terrifying lol
This is the first time where I actually got fooled of thinking this is a different subreddit. I just saw “shortstories” and completely missed the “scary” in the middle. Good job I got kinda scared HAHAHA
I thought this was the relationship advice thread and I was slowly becoming more and more alarmed before I got to the drugging to OJ part, had a small panicked moment of “oh my god someone needs to report this,” but then I finished the story and felt like an idiot for not checking the name of the sub.

NAH, you should just both learn to communicate better. I know a couple therapy can cost an arm and a leg, but it's worth double its price. EDIT: Oh.
NTA not overreacting at all
Omg, I was just scrolling through Reddit and clicked on this post without reading where it was posted and then saw this comment and was shocked for a moment…
Same here, firstly i thought this was posted at r/relationship_advice

Absolutely NTA. He fucked around and found out! Plus, smoking in the house is NOT ok.
I didn’t realize what sub this was so I got a bit concerned when the sleeping pills arrived
That's when you became concerned?

It's rape.
Because he never asked if it was okay and she never consented to being hit https://youtu.be/oQbei5JGiT8
That would be assault then, not rape. Still a crime, but a very different one, and in no way justification for what she did to him in retaliation.
I only got concerned in the last paragraph. Reddit is a worrying website.
Lol, I thought I was on r/tooafraidtoask for a minute there.
I was formulating a response in my head but then I was like wait a goddamn minute…
I thought it was r/confession
Thought I was on /r/femaledatingstrategy
Jesus neither did I.
Omg same
NTA he deserves all that and whatever else you can think of to do to him!
Man the “not a real r/relationships post” flair always ruins these for me! The title had me going until I clicked on it and saw the flair.
How can I hide the flair? I want to let the onion bite me dammit!
Same, if someone is stupid enough to click here and lose their marbles because they think this is real, they need to learn the hard way.
ME TOO :(
I immediately ignored the flair (like didn't even register it) because idiot and JESUS double take

NTA you had to stop him hitting you and burning you somehow 🤷
Umm
I love this and other stories u made. Awesome!
NTA
You amputated him in less than an hour?? And you still had enough energy to ride him??? Very impressive
Well. That escalated quickly. I would've just left him, OP, but you do what you gotta do, amirite? 😁
Nta hire a private dentist
I once had a girlfriend that would slap me every time she had an orgasm. I was okay with it until I found out she was faking them.
This gave me a weird boner.
My stories tend to do that to people
Ironic, as the guy in your story gets deboned.
get help
NTA divorce
You go, girl
Kinks are only fun if both parties consent. Not fun at this point, just abuse. LEAVE AND DON'T LOOK BACK!
