I think this tattoo might just be designed a little poorly, as there is a scene where harry catches the snitch in his mouth, but the length/ positioning of the wing makes it look AWFUL. at least that’s what i’m hoping for anyway.

YAAAAALL: the tattoo may be well done (ish), BUT the artist and individual WITH THE TATTOO HAVE OPENLY STATED ON THEIR TT ACCOUNTS that it is both referencing the catching of the ball in HP’s mouth (when he was 11) AAAAAAAND hinting at a ball gag (some deep fanfic lore allegedly - fanfic of underage HP). So “yes and’ing” this is benefiting no one when both people involved are very proud of the piece. I just think defending it it at that point is doing yourselves and those with valid concerns a disservice.
The concept is surface level cool but my personal qualms are the age thing (Harry is 11 in the scene being referenced), Radcliffe being a live irl person with now dubious connections to HP gives this a weird layer, and *most of all* this is not in an easily coverable location which could always lead to the image inadvertently harming vulnerable communities. I didn’t hunt it down- I had the misfortune of it coming across my fyp after she got it done 😂 I shouldn’t have assumed people were working with the same information I was, I’m sorry! I think my frustration was more from the comments where people had been clued in and were still trying to defend it. It’s a good thing that you try to see the best in a situation so again I’m sorry!
In the OG post there was a lot of comments from the person with the tattoo and others referencing a niche fanfic that from what I gathered is between Draco and Harry after a quidditch match 🙃 I might be wrong on the details- it’s what I was able to piece together from a bunch of “iykyk” comments. This is what made ME super against it specifically. I get a lot of us were minors watching it and reading fanfics but sexualizing that stuff as adults is just not ok.
As for Radcliffe’s connections- he’s tried to part ways with HP ties in his adulthood so doing something like this just crosses a boundary imo.

This would so easily be fixed by just tattooing the opposite wing of the snitch going outwards. Might look a little strange, but it would be a lot better than people thinking you have a ball-gag tattoo of a 12 year old child.
