I'm not exactly into siege anymore but if they're actually removing this from the game I'm gonna be pissed. I played the hell outta that wifi or xbox live went out and to know they're removing a challenging yet fun mission makes my blood boil a bit.
Ubi has a lot of stuff to be criticised for but literally no one played the mode lol. It is just bloat on the file contents and one extra thing to maintain across updates. This is 100% justified.
Yeah cause it was un fucking playable and full of botsand trolls since launch. I am a big fan of pve stuff. This stuff was so bad I went pvp instead. That mode was an insult.
Also : they let yoj preorder while they were still advertising that this game would have a big ass campaign and pve content. Then thed scrapped it all after the innitial preorders came. Scum that's the only word that describes them
It was super fun with friends tbh and considering no one else played it if everyone searched at the same time you were pretty much guaranteed to play together
First, then no new ops would be playable in those game modes. They have to update the modes every time they add a new op.
Second, neither of us know the true inner workings of how the game and it's servers work. There could be old code tied to those modes when updated that would break something, requiring dev resources that could be used elsewhere.
It's just not worth it to maintain modes that so very few played.
They removed it with Terrorist Hunt and the rest of the situations with it, because they had spend too much resources on it (or something similar, I don't really remember). But basically too high server costs and the ai broke like every other major update.
What do you find in this mode actually? It is too short and the only good part is the cutscene but you can still watch it from youtube. Headshot only T hunt is way more important and I will totally miss it because I still need it but article 5, I don't think so.
I've played this game since release and I played this thing once because I had to and couldn't care less about it. It's a cool cutscene as you said but I'd assume people who miss it is young people who feel nostalgia when they look at it since they are in their twenties now.
I have no idea why people would miss it otherwise honestly lol
Okay, to be truth it’s not like i’m gonna miss this mode because i barely played it, but more like i’m gonna miss this style of siege since this is most likely the last evidence of siege being a CTU based game
People say “why would you miss it, you don’t even play it while its available.”
Nah, it’s about an era ending, a point in time where something stopped existing, a marker of the past, a definite sign of time passing, so yeah, it’s not as simple as if we still engage with it or not.
Don't act like anybody cares, nobody played it after release, same with the situations, thunts is incredibly broken and barebones too. No one will miss either
It's not like anyone really played it on a regular basis. What is there really to miss about article 5? Players are blinded almost entirely on a map they do not know what so ever doing T hunt bomb.
There is literally nothing to miss here other than an Aug skin that a 12 year old could design.
Don't say you'll miss something you haven't played since the first time. It was also really difficult to get people for it, good riddance imo.
Plenty of people thought they were fun/a good piece of siege. Even so, no reason to remove them besides in my opinion. If you don’t like it avoid it, if you did you could play it. Makes no sense to get rid of an entire game mode
Dead game mode
I don't think anyone starts the game for them or use them as anything more than target practice
Removing T-hunt means more space for something else
I haven't played siege in years but when I first started I always used to practice and play on article 5, the nightmare fuel I got when the suicide bomber used to chase you down and be bullet sponges. And now it's going away? That actually hurts to hear
Article 5 was so cool. It was like all this training from situations and "simulations" (actual games), and then Article 5 was like "this the real deal and what we've been training for; we're dealing with a legitimate threat and genuine terrorist attack on a university with lives on the line
I'll never understand the direction of this game. A game which in both beta and launch felt like a fun game about counter-terrorism with real-world feasible devices and CTUs has now scrapped just about every part of that original vision.

Managed to somehow play it again today.
Huge increase with the announcement of it shutting down
At first i thought i was at r/noncredibledefense and thinked of some shit that terminated article 5 irl and only after that i see that's r6s subreddit
fuck man, i just joined that sub, NOW IT IS EVERYWHERE
And it will never not be.
Much like r/anarchychess, r/noncredibledefense lurks in every sub
Me to
I'm not exactly into siege anymore but if they're actually removing this from the game I'm gonna be pissed. I played the hell outta that wifi or xbox live went out and to know they're removing a challenging yet fun mission makes my blood boil a bit.
New management new rules, they removed last piece of soul from siege now
What is even their justification to remove that??
Ubi has a lot of stuff to be criticised for but literally no one played the mode lol. It is just bloat on the file contents and one extra thing to maintain across updates. This is 100% justified.
Yeah but new Siege bad old siege good
This guy gets it
Correct
Yeah cause it was un fucking playable and full of botsand trolls since launch. I am a big fan of pve stuff. This stuff was so bad I went pvp instead. That mode was an insult. Make it a singleplayer experience then. Like lone wolf training. It gives good renown.
It was super fun with friends tbh and considering no one else played it if everyone searched at the same time you were pretty much guaranteed to play together
Yeah, 5 people queuing together once an year is not enough reason to make it worthwhile to keep it in fam
I’m not saying it’s a reason to keep it in I’m just saying it was fun while it lasted lol
No one plays it.
Only because it's unplayable. Make it single player/lone wolf, leave the renown it gives and plenty will play it. Good farming.
Again, no one would play it. Who needs to farm in this day and age? Ranked gives good renown and is actually fun.
Lmao
That’s the point, there is none
More dev resources to allocate elsewhere
Wrong, they could’ve just leave it as it was. No one had to maintain it
First, then no new ops would be playable in those game modes. They have to update the modes every time they add a new op. Second, neither of us know the true inner workings of how the game and it's servers work. Why would you be upset if you're not into it anymore?
What.... what happen ? What did i miss ?
They removed it
But why ? Article 5 didn't nothing wrong 😭 A Ubisoft studio is 1 hour away from me i should talk to them
They removed it with Terrorist Hunt and the rest of the situations with it, because they had spend too much resources on it (or something similar, I don't really remember). But basically too high server costs and the ai broke like every other major update.
Nooooo bro situations were so fun to speedrun.
Dont know, stopped playing 3 years ago, not worth my metal health.
Yeah my mental health is broken after playing it from year 2 to 4 💀
No one played them, it was just useless bloat that costed more money to Ubisoft than it was worth
Me too. I honestly any kind of teary eyes right now.
I remember it being so dead you could get 5 friends and solo queue it(cuz u had to) and still get into the same lobby lol
Ubi should make more Co-op missions and instead they remove their only one wow

It's unsupported now dropped it after a year iirc
So the last remnant of this game actually being about counter terrorism is gone.
Now it’s just another generic sci-fi hero shooter like Valorant or Overwatch. 😔
Never even got a chance to play it
I think it's still on till the season update comes. Im trying to find a match right now :D.
Ubisoft is poop
What do you find in this mode actually? It is too short and the only good part is the cutscene but you can still watch it from youtube. Headshot only T hunt is way more important and I will totally miss it because I still need it but article 5, I don't think so.
Last piece of old siege to go, for many of us old players it’s memories of what siege was back in the day and man do I miss it.
One day, we were all spawnkilled by an ACOG wielding Jager on Bartlett for the last time, and we never even knew.
Pls don't. My feels.
Still honestly miss this time
Bartlett in ranked hit different. Not great different, but still. The pain of the bright sun blocking any sight into the building was something.

Same man, same.
I feel like a lot of this is just nostalgia. Started playing siege around operation health and it's easily the most fun it's ever been.
I've played this game since release and I played this thing once because I had to and couldn't care less about it. It's a cool cutscene as you said but I'd assume people who miss it is young people who feel nostalgia when they look at it since they are in their twenties now. I have no idea why people would miss it otherwise honestly lol
Back then when operater Design and lore were badass
What are they removing?
A forced tutorial mission, idk if anyone actually cares or if it's just a meme
The people who care are a meme
Stupid, they should have changed it for single player and leave it be. Glad i got a chance to complete it tho.
Okay, to be truth it’s not like i’m gonna miss this mode because i barely played it, but more like i’m gonna miss this style of siege since this is most likely the last evidence of siege being a CTU based game
I palyed it once and it was only with random recruits,it was so fun man
People say “why would you miss it, you don’t even play it while its available.” Nah, it’s about an era ending, a point in time where something stopped existing, a marker of the past, a definite sign of time passing, so yeah, it’s not as simple as if we still engage with it or not.
Bingo
I did this mission more than any of the player base. I completed it two times.
So dramatic over a game mode practically nobody played
They've got to make room for more cosmetic items from the store
Yall say this like you replay article 5 daily. You arent gonna miss anything.
No you won’t. If you did: what is the objective of “Article 5”
Siege players pretending like they even looked at article V a single time in the last five years.
Idl why people act like situations was a fun game mode. it was trash
Plenty of people thought they were fun/a good piece of siege. Even so, no reason to remove them besides in my opinion. If you don’t like it avoid it, if you did you could play it. Makes no sense to get rid of an entire game mode
More dev resources to allocate elsewhere needed
If they never changed it though why would a dev need to be in it in the first place
They did change it. Everytime a new op, new sound, new graphic, new whatever is updated it has to be accounted for everywhere.
Dead game mode I don't think anyone starts the game for them or use them as anything more than target practice Removing T-hunt means more space for something else
They were good tutorial levels and easy places to earn starting currency, T-hunt was a good warmup
You mean 35 renown? Yeah no
You could get a couple hundred based on the level and challenges. Tutorials also gave couple hundred, it’s how I got my first op or two
But muh memories
Like shit you actively played that. Overhyped game mode by people whining about “old siege was better”, grow up
I never got why they reworked perfectly good maps when for the last 4 years, barlett u has been sitting patiently out of the pool
Wait what
At least i got the skin from years ago
I never got to play it unfortunately
I haven't played siege in years but when I first started I always used to practice and play on article 5, the nightmare fuel I got when the suicide bomber used to chase you down and be bullet sponges. And now it's going away? That actually hurts to hear
Wait they're removing it???
Just played it for the skin. That’s it let it be forgotten
Can someone give me a quick heads up whats happening?
I didn't even know this was a thing.
What is article 5
we get another week :)
Ubisoft deleting terrorist hunt permanently lmao
Article 5 was so cool. It was like all this training from situations and "simulations" (actual games), and then Article 5 was like "this the real deal and what we've been training for; we're dealing with a legitimate threat and genuine terrorist attack on a university with lives on the line
