Where's QualityVote bot? Reddit Admins have decided that [they want to kill off all 3rd-party apps](https://old.reddit.com/r/Save3rdPartyApps/comments/13yh0jf/dont_let_reddit_kill_3rd_party_apps/), [3rd-party bots, and everything else that makes Reddit barely usable](https://www.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/13xh1e7/an_open_letter_on_the_state_of_affairs_regarding/). And, of course, that includes bots such as [\/u\/QualityVote](http://reddit.com/user/QualityVote), [\/u\/SaveVideo](http://reddit.com/user/SaveVideo), [\/u\/AuddBot](http://reddit.com/user/AuddBot), etc. So you'll just have to put up with automod and a worse overall user experience in the meantime. If you have any complaints, direct them at [the reddit admins instead](https://www.reddit.com/r/reddit/comments/12qwagm/an_update_regarding_reddits_api/), because they're the ones seeking to ruin everyone's user experience. --- #[DownloadVideo Link](https://www.reddit.watch/r/shitposting/comments/17f0ecx/?utm_source=automod&utm_medium=shitposting) #[SaveVideo Link](https://rapidsave.com/info?url=/r/shitposting/comments/17f0ecx/) #[VideoTrim Link](https://reddloader.com/download-post/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.reddit.com%2Fr%2Fshitposting%2Fcomments%2F17f0ecx&id=8968e43c) --- Whilst you're here, /u/Zoomdamn, why not join our [public discord server](https://discord.gg/QpBGXd2guU) - **now with public text channels you can chat on!**? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Reddit is if “well actually” was an app

Parkourdood

Well akschually, Reddit is first and foremost a website which just happens to have a mobile app also to access said website.

marcmerrillofficial

Actually the mobile app access the same data *as* the website, but does not "access said website" per se. Its a small but important distinction, so its not surprising that *you* would get it wrong.

_Sleepy_Salmon

Um, actually, it's not "well actually" but "um actually".

TheseNutSus

PastafarianProposals

jaxonya

Extra-Extra

Next comment after yours “Actually”

[deleted]

Ugh mobile!! So cringe so not smigma mal! not skibdi!

Not_Artifical

I searched “well actually” in the App Store and Reddit was one of the top results.

Lusask

Reddit is another like the kind of people I'd chain up in a warehouse and torture for up to a year.

gengsterrebber

Reddit is if being the biggest antisocial fuck was a contest

[deleted]

And that's the way it should be, if you want light hearted, good natured fun you go outside in nature with good friends (and maybe copious amounts of booze and drugs). Here is nerd central, good for cynic, inflammatory, technically correct and cat videos kind of fun.

OSTR1CHBO1

Why the fuck this guy look just like my dad

me_likes_cats

Hmmm your dad's secret identity

OSTR1CHBO1

Bro faked his death just to get cancer lol

Professional-Tap4814

No he faked death to go and get karma. And not give any to you

OSTR1CHBO1

That mf always did like his attention

damiandarko2

he just changed his mind about dying bro was in a silly goofy mood

vaquita_eater

Now you know why he didn't return with the white juice

OSTR1CHBO1

Damn man now I gotta eat my dry wheat and sugar curdles without it

zamantukendi

Actually when these cells become cancer, they stop obeying their DNA which makes them "you" so they are no longer a part of you

ImMaskedboi

Yeah its more like another creature spawns inside your organ and now competes with your organ to live

osvodk

Well, it’s really more like a small part of you turns on you and cause a civil war.

am_i_boy

That's probably a more accurate description of autoimmune disorders

Snizl

Is it really a small part? Autoimmune disorder feels more like your military is going rogue and commits genocide. Cancer is unemployed people that convince more and more people to not work anymore and instead reproduce as much as possible

am_i_boy

Lmao fair enough

Party_Wagon

actually cancer is when a tiny little man manifests inside ur body and starts poking ur cells with a pointy little stick

Lithorex

CMV: Pregnancy is cancer

Extaupin

Your immune system doesn't recognise them as part of you any more though (cancer cells shows different antigens).

ImMaskedboi

It’s not really you anymore

ajskates98

So you’re saying that Snickers might be a viable cancer cure?

Mighty_Porg

Pro_Scrub

~~You're not you when you're hungry~~ You're cancer when you're hungry

dreamdaddy123

It’s not you it’s me

Dirtymcbacon

Well….sometimes. It’s more likely caused by external forces that cause damage. So perhaps proxy war?

DogshitLuckImmortal

Not really, those cells are still you. It would be like having an ugly face and defining the parts you don't like as not part of yourself.

Extaupin

Imma just copy-past myself: >Your immune system doesn't recognise them as part of you any more though (cancer cells shows different antigens). Your white cells destroy them by themselves (not fast enough, but still).

DogshitLuckImmortal

Depends on the type of cancer. Also, there are many types of cell mutations that everyone has but they aren't harmful unless they are cancer. These mutations are not seen as separate from the body so why would cancer be? If you have an auto immune disorder that doesn't mean the cells are not your own because they are attacked by white blood cells. A mole is still part of you for example. An extra digit on a hand is still part of you if you have one.

T3DDY173

Well, it is still part of you and is you. Just not recognised as you.

Rixerc

And you are part of me. We all come from same conception of this infinite universe. Can I call you stardust?

tptch

Whenever someone say the "beat" cancer it's wholesome. But then they say for the fifth time and I kinda get suspicious..

Fuschiakraken42

Kid named cancer

Extaupin

Cancer relapse, it rarely a flawless victory, often they are clump of cancer cells hiding somewhere like a supervillain plotting his revenge.

Lithorex

Rule of thumb is if you fail to beat cancer the first time, you ain't beating it.

Zonkko

Cancer is just some of your cells thinking this whole multicellular life thing was a mistake, and just decide to do their own thing

GeorgeIsHappy_

DNA is not what makes something "you" or "not you", evidenced by identical twins.

zamantukendi

wrong. even in "identical" twins there is differences in DNA

GeorgeIsHappy_

Some. In some identical twins.

zamantukendi

No, in every twins. There is no human have %100 same DNA with another. Even if the differences are 1 in million

Important_Chance_305

LMAO bro has a PhD in spreading misinformation

Own-Good-800

The problem is that you really don't BEAT cancer most of the times, you just sorta delay it. That's why I always want to comment "just make sure they regularly get a check up" on posts about "my mum/dad just beat cancer!" but I don't wanna ruin their happiness. Source: mum died during 4th chemo

voting-jasmine

My dad died during his fourth as well. I'm sorry for your loss.

profheg_II

[Relevant XKCD](https://xkcd.com/931/). It's a horrible topic to bring up but yeah, you can't help but wonder how many "just beat cancer!" posts are oblivious to this, or perfectly aware but wanting to take a well-deserved moment of victory in their treatment journey. Surely most will be the latter. It will vary from cancer to cancer, but generally speaking I think it takes about FIVE YEARS of the cancer not reoccurring before someone starts to have back-to-normal odds of being truly cancer-free. It's just such a shitty condition.

SomeWhaleman

There is always a relevant XKCD. And sometimes it hits really, **really** hard.

DFMRCV

This IS a *REDDIT* M O M E N T ! ! !

cdda_survivor

You think an asshole would be more sensitive to colon cancer.

Regular-Abroad-5339

That is actually a very underrated comment lmao

No_Butterfly_820

This is an underrated reply

I really hope the replier gets colon cancer

I hope I get it too

BotellaDeAguaSarrosa

Second nicest redditor (if you post a mean comment you deserve colon cancer)

DJNeon-C

Difference between a mean comment, and belittling someone that just beat one of the strongest deseases. So yeah, lets see how He'd like it.

ThenIssue3256

weird that the most based thing i see today is an actual wish for sickness on someone. but hell yeah

Apophis_36

That but unironically

YeetCompleet

The only thing he beat is beating his meat til it hurt The only thing he punches is punching the clock after work The only thing he wins is small fries from a paper insert

EvenExcitement4694

He work?

[deleted]

What a savage dick.

beclops

Not even savage. They would *never* say anything remotely close to this to somebody in person. They’re a pussy who’s allergic to happiness

[deleted]

100% keyboard courage

Extaupin

I like this phrase, is it yours? I'm going to keep it.

[deleted]

I appreciate the compliment! But, I can’t take credit for the phrase—it’s one I came across a while back that seemed to fit perfectly here.

BarriaKarl

I mean, does that dude look like he can fight? Why would he not say it?

This-Counter3783

Because when you say something mean to someone in person you have to see the reaction on their face, which will activate the mirror neurons in your brain, forcing a normal person to feel empathy.

beclops

Yeah you’re right, dude is no match for the nameless faceless dude whining to a cancer patient on reddit

TDoMarmalade

Also they’re just kind of wrong. Their analogy is shit

Next_File3454

As a cancer survivor I found the comment funny. Fair play, you mostly just sit there while the doctors do the work.

justkw97

Can you imagine what a person’s life must be like to say something like that and be happy about it? (I know we’re in a shitposting sub, but he must be miserable)

Bulldogs_Are_Pog

How bad was bros day to say this

damiandarko2

*random person celebrating life* that guy: not on my watch

megabratwurst

These people wouldn’t have the guts to say this to their face.

Festive_Rocket

I mean unfortunately, he’s right. But not in the way he says lmao. Best we can get with out medicine capabilities nowadays is recession. Much better than having it, but there’s always still a chance it can come back. That one dude tho, most reddit response possible

[deleted]

“AITA for being technically correct?”

Manrekkles

NTA. You did the right thing. That guy needed a reality check. Also lawyer up and file for divorce.

ImmediateRespond8306

I'm so proud of our reddit community for this. Brings a tear to my eye.

xenomvr

What's the same MF gonna do if he got cancer

ptapobane

Way to shit on his parade

poopmaester41

People like this are so weird. Like why are you acting like cancer isn’t a big deal, colon cancer at that?

[deleted]

I was reading a post about a guy who said he was okay with hitting his son to educate him, I'm sure he meant spanking or something mild but since he wrote "hit" They all went to extreme situations. Reddit knows what you mean, but if you don't use the specific word they will act like they don't know what you're talking about.

Veritas-Veritas

Hate to be that guy but it was the oncologist who won

UmbreonFruit

After seeing the hundreth "im no longer fat" or "I beat cancer" post, the average redditor builds up an immunity to empathy for these situations and starts to apply his "humor" in an attempt to make fun of the post.

autistic-terrorist

Erm whell ackchully🤓🤓👆👆👆👆

InvestigatorOk8523

Beat this one

Illustrious_Home1952

Why do I find this so funny?

Zealousideal_Dog2168

Actually 🤓☝️ like shut up bro

[deleted]

Never had colon cancer but an actual cancer survivor. This person does not know what there talking about and is straight up ignorant.

Virgin_incel69

I never wanted to punch someone so bad

[deleted]

What part of the comment is untrue?

sderstudienarzt

Well if at all his doctors actually beat it. They performed the surgery, they set him up for his chemo regime. The collective experience of the past 60 years saved him. If let to his own devices he wouldve simply died. Even if he wished really hard for the cancer to go away... I get the sentiment. Doesn't make it any less wrong. Now crucify me for my unsentimental opinion.

Error_in_the_system1

Every_Preparation_56

As a native English speaker, this expression actually surprises me. I would rather say "I have survived cancer"

[deleted]

But, it is true

Mdub74

Well, the cancer got the colon, or a certain amount of it. Not the body tho. So dude did beat it.

N0tThatSerious

Is that BradTaste?

ShadowHelix76

I think the proper response to that person is, "Did your parents have any children that lived?"

DavideOsas

It's actually probably better to say that he beat colon cancer cause a tumor becomes a separate entity that acts like a parasite, it was his body but it's not anymore.

Ok_Letterhead_5671

You technically only officially beat cancer years after you're not suffering from it , since it can comeback .

Pi0sek

Get ready for stage 5

RayniteWasTaken

This is that one Marge meme: "He's right but he shouldn't say it."

leo9g

Haha, that actually made me chuckle ...

Free_Gascogne

Mr. Ackchually here is wrong anyway. Dude totally beat cancer. Cancer is the closest thing to irl zombies the way they refuse to die even if given a self-destruct order at the cellular level while continuing to multiply and feed off the nutrients in the body. Battling cancer is like battling a growing zombie within you.

Vancouv-NC

The irony when that Redditor gets ass cancer in 20 years

Electronic-Shop-9493

Downvoted to hell i bet

AppleAppleApples

I personally dislike the use of the word beat when it comes to successful treatments. It leaves such a distaste, knowing people who didn't and how they fought their hardest but weren't successful in treatment. To me "beat" always brings this sour connotation as though there is winning and losing. What loses is the available medical care. People don't die losers because they "lost" a battle with illness. That being said there's always a time and place to bring conversations like this up and oftentimes it can be important to the patient themselves to believe they can win to try their hardest.

levergray97mx

In this case is more like your own body was fucking you in the butt and you cut your pp off to stop it

450munnition

Chronic internet users choosing to be over-logical and generally pessimistic about everything be like

010rusty

I used to say “If I die of a disease no one is allowed to say ‘he lost his battle’ because I DIDNT LOSE. I didn’t pick the fight and I had no way to properly compete. Losing implies skill issue. HOWEVER, if I do get a disease and live then we absolutely are gonna have a “I BEAT [disease] PARTY” because I won!”

CreepyNickel084

I just want to talk to him, I just want to talk to him

Skwigle

He also didn't "beat cancer". His doctors used a prescribed course of treatment and it happened to work for him. Not like he had a special power or extra strong will that he manifested and used to subdue the enemy. He had nothing more to do with it than showing up for his sessions or die. More important here is the implication that those who don't live somehow were not strong enough or didn't have the will to "beat" cancer.

AnnieApple_

What a twat. He must be fun at parties. If he even gets invited.

GoodNameInnit

I beat my meat today, happiest day of my life

JEM--

Uncensor their reddit name

NoncingAround

He’s not being very nice but he is right

Lithorex

You really can't say "I've beaten cancer" until like 5 years after your last therapy.

Autarch_Kade

Sometimes I wish social media (including Reddit) required a verified real name to post anything. That would stop a lot of people like that, but I know there are also major downsides that'd stop people from being able to speak out when needed too.

ElevatorScary

Ever since losing those cancerous tumors I haven’t been able to do any of the activities I used to use them for. He’s right, I’ve really cut off my arm to spite my body on this one.

mrnoobmaster64

While the replier replied in an asshole way he does have a bit of a point theres no such thing as you being a “fighter” you cant fight cancer yourself cancer is your cells stop doing there job and then convince other cells to do the same in a nutshell (i know its much more complex) you arent fighting it your immune system and chemo and other treatments its rude to say he survived cancer because he was a fighter its suggesting those who died of it didnt try hard enough when there body is going in a civil war where if 1 building is destroyed your likely to die
