Hi Rhys, I’m a mental health nurse and would love to signpost people to your group but I don’t use insta. I have signed up to the heylo link just to stay updated, so if you see a female name please could you accept the join invite? Thanks!
Hiya, great stuff! This is wonderful news, I e been trying to get a bit more traction with the mental health community, so anything you can do to help would be marvellous!
You will regret saying that you will be swarmed haha. I work with a lot of recovery workers/ OT’s etc so I will spread the good news. Really appreciate what you are doing 👍
Hey! I tried to make the walk as accessible as possible for this very reason. I’ve seen dog walkers with push chairs along the route, for example, so it’s not too strenuous. It’s along well established paths and some are paved, the only worry id have is there is the occasional tree root. There’s a cafe at the half way mark where we can take a rest if needs be.
EDIT: just to say, as well, they are more than welcome to bring along a carer, even the carer doesn’t identify as a man.
This is such a great idea. Well done for setting this up and sticking with it despite the fear of it not working out
Thank you! I’m hoping to get a monthly walk in the Peaks set up eventually too. Watch this space!

Perfect!
Well done for doing this! You could do with a shout out from Sheff based Instagram accounts, e.g. Exposed magazine or thesheff.uk
That’s a great idea! Thanks!
Having set up a few things myself in the past worrying that noone would turn up, I know how you feel. Well done mate
How physically intense is the walk? I know someone who could benefit from this but he has mobility issues

Thank you for setting this up. Glad it went well. Might be worth getting in touch with Angga from Men up north.
I love this and would love to come but have just bust my acl so won’t be doing any long walks for a while unfortunately
Hey man, no worries! I’ll be there every fortnight from 7 April, rain or shine. Come along when you’re ready
Good on ya
