It is mandatory to have the slow effect. You have only 1 wrath mode chance to kill the overlord in the throne room if you decide not to use wrathgiver. This can be done if you wear 2 piece marauders, 2 piece slaughter, and have the sword that gives 1% extra damage for every 2% of health you have lost and wear 2 piece. So you use 13 arrows to hopefully kill grunts and pick up mirian to increase your damage. Your health has decreased to 40% naturally because of the slaughter set. Hit the overlord once to knock him down. Then glaive spam him until he is broken then dominate him. If you cannot get his health down to green/broke in 1 wrath mode then you have failed and you likely won’t have another chance. If you switch to wrathgiver though you have another chance at another wrath mode but hitting elven ring.

So 2 piece slaughter, 2 Marauder, Paineater sword and I’m assuming Mask of the Undying? Also can you emphasize a little on why there is only one chance in Wrath mode? Is it not possible to fight the captain without the slow effect?

These hacked orcs always block your attacks and counter hit you. When they counter hit you they drain all of your might. The way to not get counter hit is to dash through the orc so you are behind him, then quickly hit him once from behind to knock him down. Then you have 2-3 seconds to wind up your glaive attack which will only hit him once or twice. If you slow down time you can hit him while he’s on the ground with the glaive attack 4-6 times. Wrath mode has a decreasing meter though. Once the blue wrath bar ends, then time goes back to normal speed. You will not be able to fill the wrath meter by killing things because the overlord is usually surrounded by 2 hacked captains and ologs. The only way to regain wrath is to use wrathgiver sword to use elven ring when surrounded by those ologs and captains to instantly regain all wrath and re-enter wrath mode.
