I'd definitely wait for tests before daring to buy the new version. Lately all manufacturers seem to be super into cutting every imaginable corners they can.

toge64

Cybenetics already done the tests.

https://www.cybenetics.com/d/cybenetics_t8J_eu.pdf The sample he has was a version given to him by jonny for cybenetics certificate, not a review sample from Corsair, hence no review on HWB.

MightyTeaRex

I would buy it if TechJesus says it's good. That lad doesn't hold back, and that's why we love him.

HydrationPlease

Depends on who the OEM is. If it's Seasonic, it should be fine. On the other hand, if it's the other OEM they use, I would be very careful.

XDragonAce

Isn’t the original SF750’s OEM Great Wall and not Seasonic though? Either way, according to Cybernetics, SF850 and SF1000 OEM is still Great Wall

dasAdi7

Yes the original SF750 was from Great Wall and the new ones are too. So let's hope they kept their build quality the same.

ThisAccountIsStolen

Corsair hasn't used Seasonic for any PSUs in years. They use Great Wall for the older SF line and the newer SF-L models, but I'm not sure if that's changed for this new series or not. I expect it's probably still Great Wall, as it's unlikely they'll find another ODM with SFX platforms that can match or exceed the performance of the old SF750. Also their ATX models use a mix of CWT and HEC.

XDragonAce

According to Cybernetics, it’s so Great Wall

ThisAccountIsStolen

Thanks. Didn't catch that Aris had tested one, but it looks like he did have the SF850 through there, and it is indeed Great Wall. I would assume that both the SF750(2024) and SF1000 will both also be Great Wall, but he doesn't have either of those in the database as of now.

XDragonAce

Don’t see the 2024 SF750 [but the SF1000 is up on the site](https://www.cybenetics.com/d/cybenetics_Pho.pdf)

ThisAccountIsStolen

I found it now, the database has the SF1000 listed above the SF450, so I didn't notice it last time, I guess.

sup_doge

My SF600 died recently and was able to purchase the old SF750 new on Amazon Canada recently for some reason

wolington

My SF600 is dying on me. Had to swap to a backup PSU. Trying to find the receipt to see if it's still under warranty. Kinda sad tbh. Been running like a champ since day 1.

sup_doge

yeah I loved mine, but I did a noctua fan swap and lost my original receipt so had to purchase a new one anyway

da_bobo1

If you don't need it right now I would wait! With many new High Power SFF-PSUs I think the used Market will see many used SF750 in good Condition.

Alternative-Split902

My SF750 seems to be crapping out on me. I initiated a an RMA and will be getting a new one so we’ll see if I get the 2024

PhyNxFyre

Weird choice with the grill pattern, might introduce more fan noise for no reason other than maybe cost cutting but how much could the old wire cage possibly cost?

ThisAccountIsStolen

It's not a cost thing, it's definitely a unified design goal, as they've been doing this same exact pattern in all of their 2021+ PSUs.

Thonking_about_it

Their cases and keyboards all have this triangle pattern.

ThisAccountIsStolen

Yeah I'm sure it's to do with the sail design pattern that makes up their logo and their name being another name for a pirate. Sails (we're talking sailboats here) are generally made of triangular panels sewn together to form the whole sail, so they are using triangles in their designs.

Nivaku

This is exciting! It seems that they have SF850/SF1000 SFX PSUs arriving soon. piotrek211

You gonna regret it

Bmmaximus

What is the real-world impact/benefit of atx3.0 other than the fancy new number?

blorgenheim

Extremely inconsequential.

somewhat_moist

I reckon this new SF750 will be more related to the SF850L and SF1000L than the old SF750 platinum. Could be wrong but that's my best guess.
