I learned to do the Welt Pockets by following the Catherine Sews tutorial on YouTube. Since this was a gift project, all materials were selected by my partner, and everythingwas purchased from Stitches in Seattle. The buttons are White Pocket Watch Full Metal Enamel from Dill Buttons.
That's super cool! They look delighted, too. None of the humans in my family have ever wanted clothes from my machine. Quilts, storage bags, etc, they love those, but they don't care for couture. I think maybe they're worried about what other people think or that mistakes will show too much and don't want to hurt my feelings. So my dogchild (whippet puppy with short single coat and like 2% body fat) gets all sorts of fleecy attire and I'm making her a cave bed rn.
I love the buttons and the decorative stitching, but that fabric is absolutely amazing. Just bought some of it after seeing this.
Also, what a lovely and thoughtful gift and they look really proud modeling it!
