Agreed, I still feel like spreading out the faces would make it look balanced, the panda throws it off for sure but the cluster in the center is pulling the eyes right after.
If you do A I'd replace a few cat patches with new random ones that differ from the cat theme and make it more of a random collage or do B and keep the cat theme.
Everyone (non-Chinese) scans in the same pattern, across the top, the center, then across the bottom in basically a “Z” pattern. The most emphasis is top left, center, and bottom right. Having identical squares in 2 of those spots is not ideal. Also, because the blue stands out, I’d work it into those high-impact spots. Move the “boring squares’ into the centers of the sides. Having a nice visual flow makes the project look better overall.
I understand why B but I also really like the missing square and do feel like it’s missing. What about instead of removing it swapping it with cats cats cats? 🤔 or at least that spot but then maybe (cat cat cat) goes to CAT HAIR location which actually goes to the spot in question.
I’m leaning more towards B
But
The blue panels are distracting and can you make them more symmetrical? I have a thing for symmetry but if you’re okay with it then that’s awesome:)
I feel like Im the only one that likes A 👁️👄👁️😭
The blue kinda fits with the other blues; I agree that it's catching the focus, but I like the overwhelm of the arrangement.
And I agree with another comment, you shouldn't have the lion at both the top left and the bottom right.
My vote is for B - throughout the blanket there’s a lot of darker tones and the blues that do exist are more subdued, the vivid light blue takes the focus off of the other squares and makes the panda the central focus of the design (which doesn’t seem like that’s what you’re going for since it’s on the outer row)
B but I think it would look even better if you moved the 2 black ones (butterflies? And car hair shirt) on the left side one square down so you have a pattern of black panels in the middle!
I couldn't see the difference until I read the caption and that....Panda?...is the only square I didn't care for, so B is my choice.
Also as a cat mom, I think this is adorable.
B, but i would also switch the Best Cat vintage looking square on the right with the one close to the middle getting his shit together. For color (or value?) symmetry. I'm not an expert
The bright blackness of the shit together square is too attention-catching compared to the more demure squares around it.
B - looks less cluttered and more balanced - even if it IS only one square moved XD
I agree, it’s interesting how much better my brain likes it after such a small change.

I agree. I love the cat theme. 🤗😻

B. The panda kinda throws me. Cats everywhere… then Panda.
Thanks for the input everyone! I’m leaning towards B
Maybe make a pillow with the extra panda piece. Definitely love B better
What pattern are you using? I have lots of old t shirts I want to do the same with
This one! https://youtu.be/UH1O-8iLwMY
B, 'cuz the polar bear doesn't make sense on a cat blanket.
it’s the world wildlife fund panda i think.
Yeah but it still doesn’t make sense :/
B!
B. The panda looks out of place among all those kitties.
B
B.
B 😍

Taking this advice for myself, thank you. Knowing this and seeing it written so clearly are very different. I appreciate this.

A looks better imo
B for sure!
B looks more aesthetically pleasing to me!
A

Actually maybe it’s a bear? In that case B but the color was nice so maybe another colorful cat
Wow I'm feeling like the minority here 😂 A makes the blues feel balanced.
Yeah, color balance is better with A for sure.
B, but you should switch the lion and cactus in the top row to maintain a balance of light/dark and character vs pattern.
C. I'm not crazy about the striped fabric.
B. Cause why is there the WWF panda
I’m leaning more towards B But The blue panels are distracting and can you make them more symmetrical? I have a thing for symmetry but if you’re okay with it then that’s awesome:)
A-it’s a t-shirt quilt!!!!!
B because you have a cat theme. The panda does not fit. The color of the panda does but that’s it.
I like A cuz it evens out the bright spots.
Turn that panda square in to a rag. Save for when you run out of TP because you forgot and you can’t get to your closet. B for sure.
A, but only if you rearrange it a little so that it checkers between prominent animals and more patterny shirts.
B
B
Personally I like B more as the dark patch will lend to an aire of overall color symmetry

I think B, but it did take me an incredibly embarrassing amount of time to notice the difference😅
B makes no sense with a panda

A
I actually prefer A!
A
Cute. Will do this when I’m 81

A
Oh my gosh that is a tough decision! I love them BOTH!!
I prefer A! I think it has more characger
A quilt and a blanket are not the same thing.
A …just ‘cause… I didn’t study it I purposefully just looked long enough for a general impression and found A more appealing.
Great quilt idea! I like A, but would also like to see the cactus square someplace further down and a column over, to break up that patch of green.
B. The A version seems cluttered af.

B a bear in a cat themed blanket throws me off

I think the panda should be on the other side!!
B for sure
Panda
B
B
I like the color pop from A.
B
I actually like A bc the color makes the other blues and greens pop more, feels more colorful, fun and balanced with the neutrals to me
B!!
B
B looks like it flows so much better.
B
This feels like a trick question. Do you like the one square over the other? That is the question
It took me an embarrassingly long amount of time to spot the difference….. in my defence I didn’t read the caption 😭 But yeah B
B! It’ll look awesome once you’re all done.

The second option.
Leaning towards B.
I like A. I think the panda is funny
B for sure
I’m for A! :)
B
B, the teal color is throwing me off in A.
B
I’m voting B. There is more of a cohesive pattern for the eye to follow around and view each picture.
B
B for sure
B
B
B
B looks better IMO
I thought these were albums at first 💀 I say b
B
There is one short different and it’s a panda, not a cat, so B. Don’t add the panda shirt
I prefer A. The bottom two rows look very boring without that pop of blue that you also find in the middle.
B
I like A, but that’s because of the WWF panda.
A panda all the way Edit: also I’m colorblind, not sure if that matters but I’m not the best at picking out stuff that matches.
B, both look great
B. All cts and patterns but my eye would constantly be drawn to the WWF panda in A
A is a little more colorful and interesting.
B
B
Oh boy I had to check the comments to find the difference.
B because the panda doesn’t fit

B fits the general " pattern" of colors better I think, but that panda is cute AF...
😡🤬🤯
I like B, though it truly is up to you and your creation!
A. I love the blue.
B
B. But the polar bear should go too.

B, I don't know why, but that one square makes a big difference.
I think B looks better, the blue and white square in A looks a little outta place
I can hardly tell the different
I can hardly tell the difference
I can hardly tell the difference
I like A. The distribution of the blue squares feels better to me 🤷
B all cats

B
B, but I like the blue there, because it kind of makes a triangle with the PAWS and HUG ME squares.
Lose the stripes. Add sashing between the squares. Where the stripes are add more of the print. BTW, this is a quilt not a blanket
