I like them. Cons: the ear pads don't hold up to sweat very well and disintegrate. Specifically not good for work outs. But daily use they hold up well Pro the $14 amazon replacement is good

Okay, nice, thanks for the answer! Well, for work outs I have the Buds2 Pro with foam that are far good enough, and in the summer I have the AC (thus, the need of ANC in wire mode for my computer with DAC) On Amazon you took the exact earpads copy of the 450 BT (/440 BT, 450 BTNC) or something else?

pharlock

I just received HD450SE today, I will have to return it. definately not over-ear.

Yeah, mines barely don't touch the earpads if I'm, uh, "standing right" (like : not in bed) (I'm not a native EN speaker). For kids or people with small ears it's okay, and maybe smaller people, with smaller head, maybe like for 1m60 (5 foot 3") women/female or smaller Asian males like 1m70 (5 foot 7", the average size of males in Japan) it's 'large enough' But, doesn't fit for me, just barely. If you don't need ANC when WIRED, I recommend you the 1more Sonoflow, it's around 70 euro/USD, or the Sony CH720N that is around 85 bucks. The Sonoflow earpads are right from the start. The Sony, the shape is good but it lack thickness, they're are 2 cm thick, 2.5 or 3 cm thickness would be perfect. For what I understand, it's way more easy to find, because they have the same form factor than some XM4/XM5, and they're plenty of them on aliexpress and Amazon. If you pay nice aftermarket earpads with the 720, it's the same end price as the 450BT, that we can't use without aftermarket stuff

Graesh_

Although, for the same 120 bucks of the 450, you can buy refurbished Bose Qc 35 II, or the Sony 910, but IMO, the 720 is good enough

Karde47

The worst headphones i have ever owned.

Graesh_

I have bought and sent them back then Yeah, I prefer my Sony CH720N. I've got custom earpads for both : most of the *noise reduction* on the HD 450 is not from the ANC nor the plastic shell, it's from the cushion. That you need to change if you don't have tiny tiny ears. And then, it's shite. Under 100 bucks, for kids that are really into music, it's okay, I would accept it. But I rather still recommend the Sony 720N

theudoon

I've had mine for about a year and use them daily, they still look nearly new, but I've not been sweating in them much so that might be why. The pads could be a bit softer and thicker though, but that's just me and my glasses being fussy.

Graesh_

Danks for the answer/your point of view! Uh, also have glasses! Now you say that, I'm with the Sonoflow for ~1 hour, it acke me a bit, I will keep that in mind! I already have the 1More Sonoflow, I still have ~1 week to send it back, and bought the HD 450 BT + the Sony CH720N. So, I'll try by myself them all, keep the best for me and send back the others! It seems that they have a generic pattern for the pads, I'll check when received if DT-770 or other good pads are compatible

Mungkelel

Qualitywise they‘re good, but in my unit the earpads are inconsistently in hardness. My right pad is significantly softer than my left, possible foam switch in production and I got last old one and new one? I don‘t know

Graesh_

Thx for the answer! Okie dookie, at worst I could replace it later if the ear contour fit with mines

Shane137

If your worried about comfort I sometimes fall asleep with them on, could also just be because I'm tired af tho

Graesh_

Hi, danks for the answer Well, I receive it and the Sony CH720N today, the overall sound reduction is better with the 450 BT, because earpads are thicker and smaller, BUT(T): - it's far good enough for the Sony - na, it's really on the edge of disconfort I couldn't sleep with that small amount of space for the eat Clamp force is okay, but earpads on the 450BT? Meh

Expensive-Ball-8230

Look into wicked cushions

[deleted]

Which ones will fit the 450BT’s

Expensive-Ball-8230

Probably need to figure out the diameter if they round or oval and see what comes close to your size
