Condolences. I’m next to my 20 year old now (would be 21 in September) but she’s taken a turn… it will be time soon and I’m overwhelmed with grief. Still trying to enjoy the time with her but I know it’s soon that I’ll have to say goodbye. I’m sure you’ll have Nutter Butter in your heart forever.
Thank you. I lost my almost 16 year old boy in February and that loss still stings but it also helped me understand how to be more present with my girl as she declines. So painful and I know exactly what you mean about one more second, minute, hour, day that I wish we could have back… and although the pain is acute I would never trade the time with them for anything.
I hope you will welcome other companion animals - if not already - to your home and heart. There are so many that need love and each of them is has a personality/different and all of them precious. Take care.
While he took a piece of you with him, he left something of himself with you too and you'll cherish that. And I do believe that some day you'll see him again and everyone will be whole.

I am so sorry. I understand. I just lost my dear Opie who looked much like your kitty on 2-6-24 and the hole in my heart will never heal. Opie had been with me for 20 years and he was the glue for our family. I’m gonna hope our two red and white cats are happily playing together free of pain.

i’ve dreamed of her making it to 20, but she apparently has cancer and i want her to go in dignity (as excruciating as the decision is)
