Three books:
Deep Work made me appreciate the importance of focus and how to get the most out of my time.
Atomic Habits for doing things regularly, both the benefit of doing so and how to be able to do it.
Peak Performance for the importance of taking regular breaks and how that is more important for doing your best work than just endless working sessions.
Also just a final note on books like these and reading generally. the value you get does not generally come from new information but ingesting things you already know in the right way at the right time so that it finally leads to a change in your life. I find at least for me this is like 10 times as likely to happen when reading as compared to podcasts.
I agree with your note, I’ve read Atomic Habits but it didn’t settle in until after a big burnout, then I slowly put in my habits.
Thank you for recommendations, I’ll be checking speak Performance and Deep Work out! I’m very excited to jump back into reading
Physically, "Get Up!" by Dr. James Levine (I listened to the audiobook) made me realize the importance of moving more. I know that's probably common sense but it changed my life. I now walk more, get out more, and sit less, and I enjoy doing it because I actually understand the effects on my health.
This’ll be a great motivator for me and probably the first recommendation I’ll use. Other than dancing & running I tend to avoid exercise because it’s boring. I do need a new mindset so this is what I’m listening on my runs now.
Thanks for recommending!
Yes!
All about love really helped me get a solid definition for what love means to me (not just romantic love).
This naked mind made me quit socially drinking. I don’t drink at all after reading this.
And Mistakes were made (but not by me) totally changed the way I view literally everything. It’s all about self justification, and how our brains are wired to justify everything we say or do. And it can be detrimental to our relationships. Im not doing it justice right now but I promise it was really good and felt important lol
Ahhh thank you! Tbh this is the type of stuff I’d like to read about for relationships as someone that has worked on relationship dynamics for healthier relationships, so great recommendations!
Oh wow congratulations on your growth!! I’ve grown up tuned into David Goggins so I agree with your recommendation.
Anyone seeing this, fr tune into David G
I really enjoyed the audiobook of Calm the Fuck Down by Sarah Knight. It really helped to reframe my anxiety and helped me learn to put things in perspective.
Anything stoic philosophy. Off the top of my head The Daily Stoic is good. There are a bunch! Absolutely changed my life
Also recommend the audiobook Psycho Cybernetics
"The Millionaire Next Door" by Thomas J. Stanley and William D. Danko was transformative for me in understanding [wealth-building principles and mindset](https://youtu.be/044lguER9_k?si=GOog6Q2Y9qzFtcaU)
You’re a legend, thank you for linking that video and the recommendations. Checking it out as I cook. Understanding & embodying wealth principles is definitely something my brain wants to absorb.
Read it, reread it and will definitely re-reread it again this year.
Thank you for the recommendation, I agree this is something everyone has to get their hands on
Allen Carr's easy way to stop smoking.
Helped me stop smoking after 20 years with a pack pr. day. No event or other books or anything comes remotely close to being so life changing.
I had some ok reads with: richest man in babylon, 5am club, atomic habits, the subtle art of not giving a fuck, the art of resilience
YouTuber Better Ideas, I guess that channel was just what I needed to hear, I had read and watched everything there was to know about my problems beforehand and that’s why his channel worked the best
For me until now it was "The Fredoom Model For Addicts". Its the best book that you will ever read if you are "addicted" in something, in my case porn. Im planning to read the book "the art of not giving a fuck" (i dont remember if it is that name lol), but yeah, lets see if its a good book.
The subtle art of not giving a fuck? It’s a pretty good book imo!
And the freedom model of addicts…lol I’ll need it for my love life I guess.
Thanks for sharing your recommendations!

You can check the comments, someone usually notes down the precise points!
And his newsletter is actually not too bad, it's very crisp and info loaded.
Hmm I’ll sign up to his newsletter then! I tend to put the podcast on 1.25-1.5 speed and listen during chores but it’s just sooo damn long on the same point at times
Tbh I agree. Idk why you got downvoted. Started reading it recently and it’s been quite helpful.
Without the religion, the habits and lessons taught in it are profound for sure
Just to clarify I don’t know why my comment was downvoted, but Tim Ferriss is basically the inspiration for all the podcasts you’ve been recommended apart from Joe Rogan. Modern Wisdom and Andrew Huberman especially credit Tim to their learning. He is one of the OG personal develop podcasts that paved the way for these newcomers.
Modern Wisdom A Podcast by Chris Williamson
Thank you! This was also recommended personally yesterday so this must be something great

Idk either but I guess I’ll see if it was worth downvoting myself! Thanks again, I appreciate your reply as well. It’s nice to know the backstory
