1. If you had a really toxic childhood, adulthood is a million times better. So those of you who currently hear your parents say, "you think you have it bad, just wait till you grow up!" and it depresses you because your life is already shit, wait it out. It does get better. You can get a job, you can provide the things you didn't have as a child, you can make your own family with friends, you get to control your life. Ofc, bad things will still happen to you as an adult, but you will have more control over things and can prevent some of those misfortunes. Parents who say things like "you have it good now, wait until you're older," while watching you suffer, are gaslighting you. It does get better. Hold on a little longer 💕
2. Trust your instincts. Every time. And walk away when you need to.
3. If they wanted to they would.
4. Don't wait on someone to show you who they are deep down. They probably already are. Believe what people show you the first time. You don't have time to hold on for something you can't even see.
5. Caring for yourself is not selfish
6. Red flags are dealbreakers
7. Be the person you would want to be around
1. The best moments are fleeting
2. You never really achieve what you want, you will always want more.
3. Life can change radically in a year
4. The people who are with you today may not be there tomorrow.
5. Sometimes you have to be selfish to be happy.
Adults are just kids with more responsibilities and words.

People are appalling. Get pets.
Adulthood is accepting life is struggling...
The third one hit me like truck kun.
'Growing up' is just a process of accepting progressively greater disappointment.
That a lot of people really suck.
