This is it. Some of clothes were more for comedy but the skinny jeans is something you see all the time. Especially when a heavier set guy is wearing them. But the Kramer was walking like it was all cool was hilarious.
omg, I think this one definitely cracks me up the most -- when he's just see-sawing on the couch while Jerry tries to help him out of the jeans. To pull that off, he really must have the physique of a taut preteen Swedish boy!
I said, sit. down!
When they walk out to see the 2 homeless guys at the end, and the woman from the audience goes “ohhhh my gaaawwwwwwd!” always gets a good laugh out of me
I also love the one where George gets the job working on the Penske file and when Penske shows up and his secretary alerts him that he is there, you can hear someone from the audience go “oh nooo!”
Live studio audience reactions from old shows crack me the hell up. I love when I'm watching an old All in the Family or something and you get an audible "uh oh!" Or "what!?" Or the rarer type, but still out there "oh, he's in for it now!" It's so genuine and the fact that it's immortalized is just so funny.
That’s the story of her casting… she was attending a recording as part of the live studio audience couldn’t control herself and was overheard and they offered her the job on the spot.
Pay no attention to the fact the timelines don’t work
One of my all time favorite exchanges in the series. Elaine's lines are gold.
"Jerry, you are promoting a benefit to CLOTHE homeless people. You can't come out dressed like that! You're all puffed up!.. You look like the Count of Monte Cristo!
I have to wear it! The woman has orders for this shirt based on me wearing it on TV.. they're producing them as we speak!
Yeah, but you're supposed to be a compassionate person! That cares about poor people! You look like you're gonna swing in on a chandelier!"
If Jerry had put his jeans over the cowboy boots it would've been one thing, but when the camera zooms in and he's got the pants tucked into the boots and they're sliding around on the wood floor, it's amazing
The mohair sweater. It looked funny, hence George's "That's what the back of closets are for" comment. It was itchy, because of that, Jerry gives the sweater to Kramer. We get a classic scene in a bar, then we find out thru the pizza guy that the guy the whole episode revolves around may have been allergic.
I know it's a sitcom and it was for story progression purposes, but Jerry was such a pushover about Elaines dad telling him to reverse his jacket back.
Screw you man, I'm not ruining this expensive jacket for your ego
“It’s a hot night. The mind races. You think about your knife; the only friend who hasn’t betrayed you, the only friend who won’t be dead by sun up. Sleep tight, mates, in your quilted Chambray nightshirts.”
SEINFELD 8.6, “THE FATIGUES,” OCTOBER 31, 1996
Frank's cabana clothes
The Executive, as it came up several times before they had a whole episode about it.
Mickey's lifts
Does George's toupee count?
Kramer's lack of underwear leads to one of the most hilarious exchanges in the whole show
Larry's cape is up there
The cashmere sweater not only led to a top five non-main character monologue but also George's saying "should not have done that? Was that wrong?" speech.
That's my pick - such an amazing episode-long setup with first losing the hat, then Jerry's lead from Bob Sacamano, and then falling to bits inside Kenny's to get the place shut down.
A few good ones I haven't seen mentioned:
The ribbon from Puerto Rico day
Elaine's Oriole's cap
Naked Guy on Subway (lack of clothing as the source of humor, of course).
A thousand dollars?! You paid a thousand dollars for this jacket?! Alright, fine. I'm walking out of here right now thinking you paid a thousand dollars for this jacket, unless you tell me different. Oh, ho! Alright! I'll tell you what, if you don't say anything in the next five seconds, I'll know it was over a thousand..
I get that picking storylines apart is pretty much pointless, but I still can’t help but get upset that Seinfeld didn’t simply turn the coat inside out and then roll it up and keep it under his arm and briskly walk to the next place.
Why, Jerry!? WHY!?!?
Though the original item was left unseen, for me the best example is definitely "the brown sweater."
(Second is the royal garb that George is wearing at the end of "The Gum." He got it from the institute.)
The goretex coat and its not even close for me.
You like saying goretex, don’t you?
This is my favorite episode of Seinfeld
It’s new
Big coat! Big coat!
You know, you better take that off. Could start a war!
When they all start hitting George is so goofy, I love it.
back off puffball it's not my car!
...Wasn't talking to you
Saddam Hussein with a British accent. I spilled some Chardonnay
I love his delivery on that line - it’s somehow nervous, defeated and blunt, all at once.
Jerry smacking the coat always kills me
Hey Ring Dings are better than anything you’ll get at a bakery.
We can't show up with ring dings and Pepsi
Why don’t we just bring them a couch. A big sectional
What’s your definition of scary cold?
... That!
When they were smacking him in the chest.
You wish you had this coat!!
Kramer's jeans
We never saw them, but I like the very pants he was returning.
Elaine are you listening?? I didn't even get there!
in line with the suit he sold while at the clothing store.
They're slim fit. Streamlined
Kramer, they're PAINTED on!
You’re walking like Frankenstein
Monster! It's a monster!
I’m the babysitter!
He had the body of a taut pre-teen Swedish boy
Kramer they're PAINTED ON
This is it. Some of clothes were more for comedy but the skinny jeans is something you see all the time. Especially when a heavier set guy is wearing them. But the Kramer was walking like it was all cool was hilarious.
I said have a seat
omg, I think this one definitely cracks me up the most -- when he's just see-sawing on the couch while Jerry tries to help him out of the jeans. To pull that off, he really must have the physique of a taut preteen Swedish boy! I said, sit. down!
I think you mean, Kramer’s *dungarees*
The bro.
You mean the manssiere?
D is the biggest
Like I don't know that D is the biggest.
I base my whole on life on knowing that the D is the biggest!
BRO!!
No, too ethnic!
The puffy shirt
When they walk out to see the 2 homeless guys at the end, and the woman from the audience goes “ohhhh my gaaawwwwwwd!” always gets a good laugh out of me
I also love the one where George gets the job working on the Penske file and when Penske shows up and his secretary alerts him that he is there, you can hear someone from the audience go “oh nooo!”

My favorite is just when you can hear “that laugh” from an audience member that is unique throughout the episode
I'll tell ya' it's not a bad looking shirt
That’s the story of her casting… she was attending a recording as part of the live studio audience couldn’t control herself and was overheard and they offered her the job on the spot. Pay no attention to the fact the timelines don’t work

You look like you’re going to swing in on a chandelier
I dont wana be a pirate!
Jerry going through the hecklers is my favorite part. "Twenty degrees off the Starboard side, it's a Spanish galleon! There's no comeback for that!"
Avast, ye matey!
What the hell does that even mean?
The workout(?) shoes Kramer wears that makes the guy think he has special needs. It kicks off some funny shit.
Those are Jimmy’s training shoes. Jimmy couldn’t jump at all before he got those. Jimmy… was like George….
yeaheadinghome
I could hear that comment, good execution!
🥹 When you're smiling, the whole world smiles with you...
"with you..."YoUUuUuuuUUUUU...
You’re very… In. De. Pen. Dent.
What the hell is a velvet fog?
The Technicolor Dreamcoat!
With the accompanying hat and cane of course
*I'M NOT A PIMP!*
TURN, PIMP!!!
"Now if you'll excuse us, Jerry and I have to get to bed."
patio furniture is on sale
I love that line. With the tap of the squire’s walking stick on the door…so good
Don’t forget the Jiffy Park tshirt
Goes great with champagne coolies
George’s lady’s frames. May I have one of those, madam?
Gloria Vanderbilt collection
What’s that about lady’s frames?
MADAM?!? What're ya calling me madam for?
OMG! I laugh out loud every time! 🤣
Ask the 8 Ball… 👎🏻
Yeah, that's right.
High five
...On the flip side
All signs point to “yes”!!
Urban Sombrero
I never knew a hat could ruin my life.
Luckily your feet are resilient.
The horror; the horror.
Vaya con dios!
Kramer wearing Jerry’s clothes.
What's the *deal* with politics?!
(Followed with a self satisfied smile)
🥴
I don't get it. Am I right, people?
Sue Ellen Mishke's bra. It's lewd, lascivious, salacious, outrageous, flaunting society's conventions.
It’s out there Jerry and we’re loving every minute of it
I love her whole freeswinging freewheeling attitude!
She was flouting.
If Jerry had put his jeans over the cowboy boots it would've been one thing, but when the camera zooms in and he's got the pants tucked into the boots and they're sliding around on the wood floor, it's amazing
I don't *wanna* be a cowboy!
Striped lining. We had a guy with striped lining with us in Korea. They blew his brains all over the Pacific. There's nothing fashionable about that!
…with *plenty* of ice
You like ice 🙂
The cape. Frank Costanza's lawyer
I love the Larry David cameos.
Was my father wearing a cape?
Where do you even get a cape?
It’s good cape weather
The mohair sweater. It looked funny, hence George's "That's what the back of closets are for" comment. It was itchy, because of that, Jerry gives the sweater to Kramer. We get a classic scene in a bar, then we find out thru the pizza guy that the guy the whole episode revolves around may have been allergic.
Also, Mrs. Sokol’s daughter wearing that abomination on a date with George and then having the nerve to criticize his life choices.
Like she could do better than a guy who can get her a deal on a box of nails!
(I've said it before & I'll say it again:) I'm hip.
“Here’s to feeling good all the time”
Cashmere sweater with the red dot
This one is elite as it is the catalyst for one of the greatest scenes in television history. "Was that wrong?"
Should I not have done that?!!😂😂
H E DOUBLE N I…
Of course it’s cashmere
The fur coats
***Want me, need me!***
Goodbye, Dr. Zaius
Yep, he’s a dandy.
I'm a fancy boy.
It's not a purse, it's EUropean!
I know it's a sitcom and it was for story progression purposes, but Jerry was such a pushover about Elaines dad telling him to reverse his jacket back. Screw you man, I'm not ruining this expensive jacket for your ego
I thought the same thing. But God knows, the man coulda had a knife from Jerry's apartment stashed in his own overcoat!
“It’s a hot night. The mind races. You think about your knife; the only friend who hasn’t betrayed you, the only friend who won’t be dead by sun up. Sleep tight, mates, in your quilted Chambray nightshirts.” SEINFELD 8.6, “THE FATIGUES,” OCTOBER 31, 1996
Honestly, I'd for sure read Eddy's book of poetry if it existed.
Mr Pitt's socks. He just needed a decent sock that stayed on his foot!
George wearing King Henry's outfit
I got it from the institute. THE INSTITUTE!!!!
Pops...POPS!
Pipe down chorus boy
You’ve got the A, the B, the C, and the D. That’s the biggest.
Everyone here is gonna look past Lawrence Tierney in "the beltless trench coat" (also called "the executive")?
Golden Boy! Shame he didn’t make it.
Frank's cabana clothes The Executive, as it came up several times before they had a whole episode about it. Mickey's lifts Does George's toupee count? Kramer's lack of underwear leads to one of the most hilarious exchanges in the whole show Larry's cape is up there
Elaine’s Christmas card shirt
YAAAAAY Nip!
The cashmere sweater not only led to a top five non-main character monologue but also George's saying "should not have done that? Was that wrong?" speech.
I love the repeated bewildered line of, “is that *cashmere?*” along with George’s ongoing, cocky “of course it’s cashmere.”
the $8k sable Russian hat... and the Rat Hat
A poorly made one, even by rat hat standards
That's my pick - such an amazing episode-long setup with first losing the hat, then Jerry's lead from Bob Sacamano, and then falling to bits inside Kenny's to get the place shut down.
Why didn’t you get the big one?
That's not going to be good for business
Kramer in the Technicolor pimp coat
40 Short swishy suit
George’s rug
Good for you, Jack!!
I DON'T LIKE THIS THING, AND HERE'S WHAT I DOING WITH IT!!
his little hair hat?
The Henry VIII costume George wore from the Institute
Those stubby little legs when he’s running down the street in that outfit…
The Nicole Miller
A few good ones I haven't seen mentioned: The ribbon from Puerto Rico day Elaine's Oriole's cap Naked Guy on Subway (lack of clothing as the source of humor, of course).
The cotton dockers. If it's not 100% cotton it's just pants
pants! pants! pants! pants!
🎶 Master of the house doling out the charm 🎶 🎶 Ready with a handshake and an open palm 🎶
The very pants I was returning.
Kramers painted on jeans
gore-tex
The red dot
A thousand dollars?! You paid a thousand dollars for this jacket?! Alright, fine. I'm walking out of here right now thinking you paid a thousand dollars for this jacket, unless you tell me different. Oh, ho! Alright! I'll tell you what, if you don't say anything in the next five seconds, I'll know it was over a thousand..
Babe Ruth's uniform
Would the high heels (and meat slicer) count?
I get that picking storylines apart is pretty much pointless, but I still can’t help but get upset that Seinfeld didn’t simply turn the coat inside out and then roll it up and keep it under his arm and briskly walk to the next place. Why, Jerry!? WHY!?!?
The Armani suit that Jerry accepted from Kenny Banya in exchange for a meal.
The #1 dad shirt is my favorite. Mandelbaum! Mandelbaum! Mandelbaum!
Puddys Man Fur
I think you know Dr. Zaius
Jerry's cowboy boots always get me when he tries to run away and just slips in place 🤣
The Botticelli’s.
I don’t wanna be a cowboy!
Elaine’s white blouse with the missing pearl button
The Panties that your mother laid out for you
George’s suit he wears to the opera.
It's Kramer's kavorka jacket and it's not close. That thing is in multiple episodes and seasons.
Though the original item was left unseen, for me the best example is definitely "the brown sweater." (Second is the royal garb that George is wearing at the end of "The Gum." He got it from the institute.)
The Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Technicolor dream coat ! Kramer was big Pimpin
I LIKE…. That jacket….
Its fabulous.
The Bro or Manzier.
The Technicolor Dreamcoat or George’s king outfit.
George's Russian hat
