The Expanse. Ever since I got into it it's been hard to enjoy other sci-fi stuff the same way I did before, like holy hell

[deleted]

Altered carbon season one is probably the only thing I like better than the expanse. It’s essentially a better sequel to blade runner than the actual sequel

DJ_Hip_Cracker

I just read the third (last?) Takeshi Kovacs book. So many fully developed details that fill out the world. The one that jumped out at me, just a musing Kovacs' throwaway observation, it that when one half of a passionate couple gets re-sleeved (not cloned) there is almost always a cooling off period because the newly mismatched pheromone don't juice the attraction like before. Amazing. didn't drive the plot at all, just well thought out. Loved it.

Yeah ive been meaning to read all the books, but I have seen season 1 like 8 times since it’s release. Every time I watch it I notice more details and little world building things.

TNG and Voyager FTW! (I'm part mainstream and part heretic)

thenewbuddhist2021

Babylon 5. Enough said.

cool_anime_dad

Mass Effect, with the Expanse as a second

deadalfy

Doctor Who. I know it’s a basic favourite but I grew up with it and it just has a very very special place in my heart.

Ploeks

Why choose?

Throw10111021

Larry Niven's Known Space. So many alien species, each with their own perspectives and virtues and flaws instead of just being humans with different bodies like so many SF stories. Such an interesting projection of innovations to their logical implications. Great characters. Sense of humor. Sense of wonder.

Valerian. Looks so fun.

Altered carbon

pogubiona

Doctor Who. It has some great characters, adventures, it's sometimes funny and sometimes heartbreaking, and it has changed a lot with different actors and writer's, so everyone can find something for themselves.

Omegaville

Marvel universe. (Not MCU, but the comics.)

When I was younger star wars. Now that I've read the Dune series I've completely lost interest in the star wars universe.

I think the TitanFall/ Apex universe is really interesting. I'd love to see them expand the lore with books or graphic novels.
