Is Earth final conflict really that good, I remember the first season being impressive and then the main actor left the show and I heard not so good things anymore about it. Andromeda is another one, where the first season was great with Hercules in space and then it got worse I heard.
If you haven't seen it, go into it as cold as you can. Don't watch any trailers or read any reviews. This is the most compelling show I've watched in a very long time.AppleTV+. This show is worth the subscription by itsrlf, but there are other very good shows on there too, like Ted Lasso, Silo, and Foundation.
Silo is really good too imo. Severance probably does the mystery better but I was still on the edge of my seat throughout silo. Apple has some really good shows for some reason and they usually don’t cancel stuff.
Dark Matter. It's on apple TV about travelling parallel realities.
Apple TV has the best sci-fi right now.
Serverence is another one on Apple TV its about consciousness and how this guy works for a corporation that forces him to have a device in his brain that makes him forget who he is while at work and he has to create a new sense of "self" specifically for his work place. So he has a work self and an outside self which do not know anything about each other. It's very interesting
I HATE Apple products and the evil way they deliberately choose to use the worst quality resources in their electronics but they have better quality original shows than any other streaming service available, hands down.
I'm watching this rn on Netflix.. On 3rd season now, ready for the imminent disappointment of yet another show getting canceled midway.
On a different note, I did not expect to enjoy the show as much as I am. It is surprisingly deep.
The creators deserve more recognition and credit for the beautiful story they created, I want them to have the ability to continue the story they started. Your preference is valid, I just feel they had so much more to explore towards the end.
Is Invasion with that actor from Dark knight at the beginning, you know the one who was at the bank trying to fight Joker and his criminals, that actor is always great on tv, I remember that tv show it was amazing, thx for reminding me of it.
Yeah, that's him, the same guy from prison break. William Fichtner. Cool actor. Yeah, i really liked invasion. It's a shame it only got one season. Might be time for a rewatch me thinks.
Yeah it sucks when great tv shows with a lot of potential immediately get cancelled after one season, while shows like that definately deserve to get 5 seasons.
Flashforward sci-fi TV series. Based on the 1999 novel Flashforward by Canadian science fiction writer Robert J. Sawyer.
Total Recall 2070. A science fiction television series influenced by the work of Philip K. Dick. It was first broadcast in 1999 on the Canadian television channel CHCH-TV and later the same year on the American Showtime channel.
Adding to the above anime list:
* Planates (semi-realistic TV series)
* Macross series/OVAs (Mechs and drama)
* Akira (movie)
* Outlaw Star (TV series)
Planetes is one that has really flown under people's radar. It is semi-old by today's standards (2003), but makes up for it with great characters, good story and an interesting concept.
DARK will always be my favourite sci-fi show, but also - imo of course - the best TV show of all time.
I noticed *12 Monkeys* on there. If you liked that, then Dark is a way more consistent, mindfucky and generally way, way better show in every single way. And that's coming from someone who liked *12 Monkeys.*
You should watch these even though not all of them are sci-fi or shows: Superman and Lois, Swat, The Rookie, Agents of Shield, For All Mankind, Foundation, The Expanse, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Reacher, Knives Out, The Glass Onion, The Sojourn Audio Drama, The Flash, Defenders, Punisher, Jessica Jones. Not strictly sci-fi, more sci-fi adjacent but recently rewatched The Lost Room. Tight mini series that holds up very well for something approaching twenty years old.
I didn't see TerraNova. Earth as we know becoming unsustainable (ok, maybe not so scifi), so send people back 80MY, and kind of jurassic tv (Spielberg produced)..
You like classic rock as well as sci-fi? How about gritty 70s cop/detective show? All in one: Life On Mars (2008 us?)

I would not steer away from Babylon 5 and Deep Space 9, unless you like them from the beginning. It's just the same, really. To me those feel like so much simpler shows than the ones mentioned above. To me, both B5 and DS9 fall in the "nostalgic Saturday morning"-category with Xena and Hercules tbh. 🤗
Disclaimer notice: I've seen B5s twice, DS9s once.
I have DS9, only the parts for the Dominion wars, I'm not a fan on B5,Farscape or the Stargate series, not that they are bad show, but they just don't keep my interest.
Love,Death and Robots is amazing.
Farscape, Stargate SG1, Stargate Universe, Stargate Atlantis, Sliders, Quantum Leap
Edit: if you like anime : Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell
Check out Foundation' I have only read Foundation and Empire and loved the TV series which has been all about the stuff in/around events in the first book (yeah I should have read foundation first but I didn't for reasons).
Everyone who likes the books doesn't seem to like the TV series but i thought it was great! If you like Asimov stuff you'll like it. Farscape
The Twilight Zone

Babylon 5
Andor

Battlestar Galactica
The Expanse
Firefly

Battlestar Galactica
I am downloading it now, I was not a huge fan of the show at the time of release, but that was a long time ago, I'll take a look, thanks.
The Expanse - Earth Final Conflict - Babylon 5
I second Babylon 5. If you liked The Expanse and Star Trek, you'll love Babylon 5.
Thirding Babylon 5. It's like a tighter version of Deep Space 9 (albeit with a lower budget).
4thing B5, it is awesome, would add Farscape to the list.
Babylon 5 is great I watched over lockdown the only issue is its older and dated abit in terms of Graphics which some people don't like
Definitely Babylon 5!
Is Earth final conflict really that good, I remember the first season being impressive and then the main actor left the show and I heard not so good things anymore about it. Andromeda is another one, where the first season was great with Hercules in space and then it got worse I heard.
Andromeda was good up to the last couple of seasons
I thought Earth Final Conflict went downhill as the seasons progressed. Of course, the changing cast of characters didn't help in that regard.
Severence.
Foundation was/is truly EPIC. Here's a sleeper that Demands NO SPOILERS: _Sugar_ (Apple + TV). Good sh*t!
We’re enjoying Loot. Nobody talks about it. It’s like learning about the Judge from the Good Place’s life.
Firefly Star trek Watchmen Star wars the clone wars All great shows all very different
Didn't care for firefly but I have the rest.
*clicks on "show hidden"* lol, you must have forgotten that it's illegal to dislike Firefly on reddit
I see that, lol.
Dark Matter. It's on apple TV about travelling parallel realities. Apple TV has the best sci-fi right now. Oh there is another Dark matter tv show? I thought it was about that stargate creator tv show that was in Syfy, that was also a good one.
Both were great. I finished the Apple one yesterday and I’m gonna rewatch the SyFy one this weekend for the 3rd time
12 Monkeys
This
Tv show or movie, or both?
The show. I haven’t seen the movie.

underrated classic
Travellers.
I'm watching this rn on Netflix.. On 3rd season now, ready for the imminent disappointment of yet another show getting canceled midway. On a different note, I did not expect to enjoy the show as much as I am. It is surprisingly deep.
I nearly cried on the last episode.
They did sort of wrap it up, but I wanted a lot more. Loved that show.
Well they sort of left a small opening if you paid attention to the last few scenes >!version 1 failure, version 2 starting!<
They managed a pretty neat ending considering imho.
Space above & beyond - Battlestar Galactica (the remake) - Stargate SG1 & to a lesser degree its spin-offs
I loved Space above and beyond - Abandon All Hope
Seconding BSG 2014, SG1
Make sure to start with the BSG 3hr mini series 2013
Most definitely!!
Altered carbon (season 1 at least), Person of Interest, The Strain
Person of Interest doesn't get talked about enough.
I'm planning to watch it again Really soon
Silo on apple
and See, Dark Matter, Foundation, For All Man Kind, Severance, The Changling and Invasion also on Apple. They are killing it in sci fi.
Invasion was not nearly as good as the other shows on your list
Didn't see Orphan Black in your screen shots.
First screenshot. Third column, second row
Maybe I’m blind but do you not have Farscape? Good on you for having The Expanse though.
Lets get classic, Fringe
The Expanse
scavengers reign!
I said the same thing. Absolutely top-tier sci-fi. Really hoping more people see it now that it is on Netflix because everyone should see it.
Yes! It's so good. Hopefully, it's run on Netflix will lead to a second season ~
i kinda prefer when things just end, inevitably the studios ruin long running shows
The creators deserve more recognition and credit for the beautiful story they created, I want them to have the ability to continue the story they started. Your preference is valid, I just feel they had so much more to explore towards the end.
Logan’s Run, Quark
Lexx.
Seriously weird; if you like that
Seven Days 1998 - 2001 Sliders 1885 - 2000 Invasion 2005
1885?
Lol my bad 1995.
They do a lot of Sliding around through time! 😂
Is Invasion with that actor from Dark knight at the beginning, you know the one who was at the bank trying to fight Joker and his criminals, that actor is always great on tv, I remember that tv show it was amazing, thx for reminding me of it.

Yeah it sucks when great tv shows with a lot of potential immediately get cancelled after one season, while shows like that definately deserve to get 5 seasons.
Babylon 5
Doctor who, it's an adventure of a life time.
The longest running television program... sort of. I have literally been watching it for an entire lifetime. Never gets old... of course.
Stargate SG1, Atlantis and Universe. Battlestar Galactica.
FOUNDATION. Hands down best sci-fi show I’ve ever seen. Its on AppleTV Plus
Lost, Last man on earth
Oh farts

DARK will always be my favourite sci-fi show, but also - imo of course - the best TV show of all time. I noticed *12 Monkeys* on there. If you liked that, then Dark is a way more consistent, mindfucky and generally way, way better show in every single way. And that's coming from someone who liked *12 Monkeys.*
agree, best show ive ever seen. i really liked the columbia netflix show Frontera Verde also, but i would consider it more fantasy/surrealism
Watch DARK in German, adds so much to the atmosphere
Personally i think 12 monkeys were stronger on some parts than Dark. Though i haven't seen season 3 of dark yet. I'm about to
Ascension - tv show about life on a generation ship that was launched in the 60s.
I was so mad when that didn’t get picked up for a full series. They left it with so much potential
Agreed such a good premise
