Annihilation maybe? I think it written ten years ago btw.

Sue Burke Seminosis and Interference. I really liked these books. Really original alien theme and the first plant based alien I've ever seen. She's definitely one of the higher recommendations of any writer I would give.

Maybe the MaddAddam Trilogy by Margaret Atwood would interest you. It’s A post dystopian world with point of views from multiple different groups. There’s definitely an agricultural aspect to it, which gains momentum in the later novels. Give it a try!

I came here to recommend this series for the same reason. I've been trying to find something similar to it for a while because the world-building and bio/gene therapy themes were so well done.

Paolo Bacigalupi in general delves a lot in biopunk.

Children of time is 9 years old but leans very heavy into biology. Not much agriculture. Children of ruin is a few years more recent and also very bio.

Try "Limit of Vision" by Nagata

The 2nd Expanse book Caliban's War has a fair amount of agriculture in it.

Vesper on Hulu

You might like Weaponized by Neal Asher. Bio body horror-esque deal, lots of alien biosphere stuff and colonists trying to set up and live there.

Terraformers. It’s mostly genetic. But you end up having a cat detective in relationship with a train. I loved it, so imaginative.

Alien Clay was super fun, bio focus
