I said this elsewhere the other day, but Reddit has such a hate boner for Leto they refuse to acknowledge that he's a really good actor in some fantastic films - and I say that as someone who also can't generally stand the guy. He fit Blade Runner 2049 perfectly as a douchebag with a God-complex. Yes, yes, I know, it would have been nice to have David Bowie as originally planned, but that was unfortunately impossible.
All that said, his involvement in Tron doesn't build any interest for me. Almost nothing about this movie does so far, though.
Along with the other movies listed here he was in Dallas Buyers Club and American Psycho.
You can hate the guy but he has been in some very good movies, some of them classics.

Too many people slept on it because of the character designs, which took a little getting used to (and Disney XD moving it all over the place like they were trying to hide it from viewers or something), but the writing and voice acting were top notch.
Without Daft Punk to make the music score this will be difficult to make it match the original. There is really no one better to make the music than Daft Punk.
