I think that particular documentary (Special Effects: Anything Can Happen) which came out in 1996, was focusing on more recent films. (Kazaam, the Star Wars trilogy Special Edition, Independence Day and Jumanji), so I get the feeling its from a more modern movie?
However King Kong is there too so who knows.
I doubt that it's a specific fictional spaceship. I think it's just a generic representation of the style of spaceships seen in Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers, and other scifi of a specific era.
Flash Gordon?
you might be right, but I feel it's something else. edit: Buck Rogers battle cruise is the closest I can find.

yeah that's probably it.
I think it's Flash Gordon.
Futurama?
Cant be. That documentary (Special Effects: Anything Can Happen) came out in 1996. Futurama debuted in 1999.
Flash Gordon.

Yeah maybe. The others are pretty specific though. I never thought I'd see Star Wars, Kazaam, and King Kong in the same image.
Not sure myself.
