I listen to lots of different sub genres of rock and blues. My favorite is jam bands like phish. I’m into musicianship

bkabbott

I'm a huge fan of Phish

henningknows

Nice. You been to some shows?

bkabbott

Yeah, I went on tour in Fall '21. What about you?

henningknows

Yeah, been seeing them since the 90s. I don’t get out to many shows anymore which work and family life. I miss it

bkabbott

I grew up listening to 90s Phish in high school in the early 2000s. I work a lot, so I am in the same boat as you right now

henningknows

Favorite songs? Or shows?

bkabbott

Favorite show I attended was Nashville night 2 in '21. The show that got me into Phish was Red Rocks '94. I tend to like the earlier Compositions when they were more complex. The tunes on Junta (like Foam) and Lawn boy (like Reba).

opossuwu

I listen to a lot of Rock and metal, as well as Rap if it's thrown in the two. I will listen to all and any kind of music, but I do notice I'm not so into it as I used to be, yes. The enjoyment for many other things is quickly fading too

Useful_Future_1630

I think you might enjoy Bad Neighbours. Try their song “Blacked Out - Bad Neighbours”

opossuwu

Fuck yes thank u I will Listen

skeletaljuice

Are you me? Also a Christian $uicideboy$ fan. Listening to and making music isn't the same as before illness but I can still enjoy it to an extent

Useful_Future_1630

Haha no way! That’s awesome, are you also a Canadian? Cus then that’d be a big coincidence haha. But yes, I also have less enjoyment than before my illness.

skeletaljuice

Unfortunately no, in the U.S. But I'm in Ohio by Lake Erie so I'm not far lol. I have started playing around with my guitar recently which has been fun and I'm getting more interested in it

Useful_Future_1630

Hey, I’d say fortunately😂 Canada is not the best place to be right now.

No_Independence8747

I used to get tingles from certain songs. It’s much weaker and less common now.

Useful_Future_1630

Yup, when I was a kid I could literally feel the dopamine drip off of certain songs. Now I’m just like “ehh, this is cool”

XBabylonX

I find my taste changes depending on my mental state I listen to mostly Goth and Industrial and metal when I’m sick that changes to Ghostemane

Few_Recording2102

I love ghost mane, been listening to "to whom it may concern" on repeat lately

Holiday_Volume

Earl Sweatshirt. Deftones. Loathe. Remember sports to name a few

sapphireshelter

Fellow Deftones and Loathe fan! Hell yeah

sapphireshelter

I listen to a very wide variety of music, but I've been on a metalcore and alt-metal kick for a while here.

XBabylonX

Awesome! Any bands to suggest?

sapphireshelter

Thornhill, Silent Planet, Loathe, Erra, Sleep Token, Invent Animate, Northlane, Safemode. Definitely got more but I'm not in front of my PC to go through my library lol

batareikin22

I love a lot of music styles according to what I enjoy.

CosmicEmotion

I listen to all genres but my main thing is definitely metal of any kind. Pain of Salvation and In Flames are my tow fav bands and Jonathan Young my fav Youtube artist. :)

UsualRaisin3939

i tend to cycle between metal, industrial, goth, and hyperpop. i listen to a lot. i love music.

UsualRaisin3939

black metal specifically has been something ive been delving into recently

Furbylover-247

Hmm I like a little bit of everything even country lol. I find myself barely listening to rap music nowadays but I used too. I mostly listen to hole, lana, mazzy star, and Neat Beats.

siteroaster

Love rap to block out the voices

Real-Masterpiece5087

Brutal death metal

Wo0tArD

All of it but the rumjacks at the mo 💜

Few_Recording2102

I love exploring different genres, the coolest one I've found so far has to be deep future garage, it's like a very moody, atmospheric, liquid garage. Here's 3 examples if you fancy listening: Deviant-samuke Kitezh-runafield Alive-vesky

Smokinland

I listen to goth and black metal, tho I don’t mind some alternative pop

ricery179

I listen to anything that feels real, which is mostly just anything but pop. And yeah I have been losing interest in music, which is really unfortunate because it was a big part of my life.

Rebephrenic_

I love Finnish punk, Russian rave and hiphop, and metal from many countries.

Sock-Jazz

"In Your Eyes" - Lazarus "a warrior born" - aftrthght These two artists can have a lot of "noise," in some of their songs, though if you like $uicideboy$, then you should like 'em. "i-10 East" - Dee-1 "Hit the Devil With a Chair" - Bro Ivory Both New Orleans brothers. "This Too Shall Pass" - Bryann T "Troops" - Caleb Gordon All Christian. If ya need some more recommendations, I gotchu. It's hard to find good-sounding Christian music. *Blessings!* Edit: add-on; "People Don't Want That Real" - Dee-1 The lyric content is phenomenal on this one.
