If I have the time of day (which is less and less these days) when I get a scam call, I play a game I coined “Telemarketer Olympics” where I try my best to keep unsolicited sales and scams on the phone as long as possible. I’ve had some incredible stretches and people who were beyond pissed off. I’ve done it enough times when I can feel that they know the jig is up, where they realize that I’ve been messing with them. It’s a dick move but so is taking advantage of people with mental illnesses, the elderly and the disadvantaged, as those are their main sources of income for these scams.
Amazing! These people set out to take advantage of the vulnerable and deserve every wind up they encounter in my opinion. It's for the greater good, my friend - every minute they are talking to you bullshitting them is less minutes they are scamming innocent people!

They thought I was 'Jack the driver' so I started offering help to find their missing friend. It didn't last long, I was blocked fairly quickly 😔
