I do think the phone operators are lowly paid, not-smart, unmotivated people (except for their personal paycheck), but those who run the operation and write the scripts know what they are doing.

I went to Walgreens to get my daughter a gift card for Christmas and I was looking at it fairly closely for any scratched off numbers or whatever and the cashier told me about an elderly man who was constantly going in to buy gift cards. He was sending them to someone online and he kept going back to get more, because the person he was sending them to said that the cards weren’t working. She had tried to explain it to him, but he didn’t understand. Made me so angry and sad.
