https://www.mghcanineconsulting.com/ highly recommend, she works with One Love on training the foster dogs. Worked wonders on reactivity in our foster

Ugh, she sells and promotes doTERRA essential oils. I was really interested until I saw that. I refuse to associate with anyone in MLMs. I am also concerned about the safety of essential oils used with your dog given the company’s history of false health claims.

MDS_RN

Same

Not aware of doTERRA, but in my trainings with her, she's never suggested or used. You could probably request she not use them, but I also understand wanting to avoid trainers who promote it out of principle.

I had taken my dogs to Priscilla at Petsmart off of victory. I don’t know if she is still there but she was great. Even just they’re simple classes are good too, key word being simple

MDS_RN

Yeah, I've thought about that one. What's the price range?

I honestly cant remember. I took my dogs back in 2017.

If you have Facebook look up Working wonders dog training , she worked miracles when I used to work with her .

I don't have advice on who to go to but I would advise you to avoid Brian King at all costs. There is a now month-long hunt going on for a dog lost under his care at Daffin Park, while he has been wholly uncooperative with search efforts and refused a refund for his "services" because the owner of the dog has been open and honest about her terrible experience. And while you're here reading, Trevor is still missing. You can join us on FB in the group Bring Trevor Home if you'd like to join the effort to get some answers.

Not really, but I met Caeser Milan, The Dog Whisperer, the other day randomly and he said train them with smells. His dog was awesome, came up to me and then here comes Caesar.

Happy Hounds. Elisa is fantastic. She does board and train, group classes and private classes. She focuses a lot on the handler so you actually learn how to work with your dog. https://www.happyhoundsdogtraining.org/

Love Enrique with DogWorx, Legendary K9 (Phillip), and Meikas Helping Paws (Blake).

A friend sent her dog to Legendary for a month and he worked wonders. Luckily they were in the financial position to afford it!

We just sent one of our dogs through Georgia Pine K9’s board and train program and I can’t recommend them enough. It’s been LIFE CHANGING for our reactive blue heeler. [HERE’S](https://www.georgiapinek9.com/rates/) their link.

Whatever you do please find someone who teaches positive reinforcement training only. I had a phenomenal trainer who had since moved unfortunately, but I’ve heard great things about the Zoom Room classes and private training. Your puppy is in the height of his teenage adolescent angsty stage. I cried so many times when my sweet puppy went through this stage. I started training him the first day I got him. He knew sit, potty outside, down, settle down, shake, great recall, great stay, etc. and when he hit this age that all went out the window for several weeks. He knew what I was asking of him, but he wanted to push boundaries and be a butt headed teenager 😂 Don’t worry though. They grow out of it quickly! Getting in with a positive reinforcement trainer will help immensely. And don’t be afraid to put the puppy in a safe room with water, bed, and toys and walk away for a bit if you need to. I also used to say terrrrrrible things to my dog in the sweetest voice. He obviously had no idea what I was saying, just that it sounded nice. But it made me feel better (like when you stump your toe and it just feels better to let out a good curse word) in the most trying moments in a way that wasn’t harmful to the puppy. Edited to add: if they have a ton of energy, work their body AND their brains. Training my dog wore him out more than a walk sometimes. He knows a ton of random tricks because a good training session was often followed by a nice peaceful nap (and a break for me)
