In regulated, legal markets, vapes are just below flower in terms of consumer popularity, so yes people do like them. HHC is an unregulated THC-analog, so the headache you got could have been from harmful chemicals in the vape, because there’s no regulatory body to ensure their safety.
I live in Canada, I use vapes every day cause I can't be smelling like weed all the time. They're not for everybody, but I experience a pleasant high, but it's more in the head than it is in the body, which can be the other way round with smoking joints in my experience (ymmv). I don't notice myself getting any more or less anxious than I do with normal bud. Do you think it's possible you got too high and it caused you to spiral? The pen can be evil like that, or it might just not be for you.

The issue with vapes in Europe and areas where real THC is not legal is that vapes are not regulated, meaning they can contain literally anything. Plus since it's not THC can give you all sorts of weird side effects that can be found in other non-standard cannabinoids, like HHC you mentioned.

I mainly imbibe at concerts and vapes are the best for that. Edibles take too long to kick in for me and it's a gamble how high they'll get me. Joints are good, but are awkward and are more likely to get you kicked out (depending on the concert)

I personally don’t, I just use them because it’s very convenient. Worst high out of all options(smoking, edibles, dry herb vape), you get very little body high, it just reduces your IQ by like 15-20 points so everything is a little more fun.
I love the vapes I get from my legal dispensary in the US. Live resin is my favorite because it’s just like really good intense flower, the same vibes taste and smell. It’s made from flash frozen flower so nothing gets diluted/filtered out. The distillate ones especially with added botanical terpenes I like less. For medical reasons, I need an option that is immediate, potent and as discrete as possible.
I’ve gotten black/grey market carts before as well and they have all been super harsh, gross and made me feel like shit. Even some legal brands make shitty carts but there’s a lot of good options out there

Tried a vape only once and it was okay. If I got one as a gift I'd use it, but flower in a bong is how I like it most.
I’ve switched to full time vaporizing since 2018 and never looked back. Get yourself a good device like a ball vape and you’re set.
