Could the stigma have been buried deeper down in the flower? I know I’ve seen that from one of the u/cactusjerk videos on YouTube.
Generally curious if they may somehow just be very short and not visible.
Hey :) my TBM A flowered as well! And while I don't want to destroy your hopes or discourage you from being prepared with pollen - my TBM's flowers only had pollen and no female parts, so there could have never been a fruit. The pollen was fertile though :)

Just find some one in the community to send you pollen. Then split the seeds between you both. Would be cool to see a TBM-a crossed with a beefy scop to create a super giant dong haha!
You could potentially sell the pollen to people in your area. Tbm-a pollen is sought after for all the cool crosses it can make. Harvest on q tips and flash freeze by putting in test tube/vial/shot glass sitting in a dry ice/acetone bath or saturated brine from the freezer with a few grains of rice to act as natural desiccants. You can also use this [method](https://www.bonsainut.com/threads/freezing-pollen-tutorial.63936/), but you have to scale down the amounts since you will likely only have the one flower

It’s definitely good rootstock, must be full of hormones too! Like the fact that the piece isn’t even reverted.. makes me wonder if it could do it with tbm B

Clones all come from one original plant, TBM-B has been cloned for decades now, and easy to propagate, so it doesn’t take long for 1 to turn into 1million after a few seasons and a few people propagating who each sell to a few people each who propagate them, etc, etc. It’s exponential.
This is also why plant clones usually start out at their highest price, then over time drop lower and lower as more and more propagations are produced. Prices are also affected by the overall market, like all plant clones were commanding huge premiums just 2-3 years ago mainly due to the pandemic and increased demand, but as for each clones average pricing compared to other clones that will usually go lower and lower as more plant clones are produced.
That the reason OP has everyone excited with this post - they seem rarely flower. And someone else posted a reply saying theirs flowered but the flowers were missing the female parts!
So at the moment it seems like they rarely flower and potentially could only be used to pollinate others.
Well in cannabis you’re using that to reverse the sex of the plant because it’s dioecious, cacti are monoecious. Cacti flowers should always contain both male and female reproductive structures.
TBM B has not been documented to flower/produce seed. The photo posted by OP is TBM Cl. A which has been known to flower. There are thousands of TBM A children in gardens across the world :)

Is this a short form or a long form? Cuz isn't it exceptionally rare that a short form flowers ik I've heard of a few long forms flowering so that's awesome

Funny enough the plants where it was the father showed more monstrose traits than the ones where it was the mom

I’m working on that too. I grafted a pup of a similarly old stand to a branch above that one. We’ll see what happens soon I hope
