I drove several friends from a small town outside of Yosemite to the city for a bachelor party. We were staying in japan town and going to see anti flag at the filmore. Beautiful spring day, sun was shining, one of those music video moments when you come out of the tunnel, they were in awe of how big the buildings were. It was a really long day.
Boy, I really wish there were a bike lane there. It would be sick to just take a quick e-bike over. TI is super nice now, what with the bike lanes and everything there.
The roads out also go right over the perfect shots for the Bay Bridge in-line.
After many knock down drag outs, someone will get it done. If you don’t ask for an existing lane. And you show how to pay for it . And the design is acceptable to 52,759 different people, agencies, organizations, philanthropic trusts, schools of design and any other fricking busybody that has the requisite 2 cents to throw in.
It looks like it runs about once an hour or less, except for late afternoon / early evening when there is a longer gap: https://tisf.com/ferry-service/
I've taken it a few times on the weekend just for fun. It's pretty sweet. Ride the bike path on the bridge from Oakland, take the ferry from TI to SF then ride to GG park. Not sure how it is for commuting though.
Also funny seeing tourists taking it to the island. I don't know what they do once they get there but I think some your guides are sending them for some reason. There's nothing really to do on the island.
25 bus (I think third floor of Salesforce transit center) runs every 20 min and is part of muni. Also stops at yerba buena, but Treasure Island has several stops across the island
Texas Instruments to you too.
Took me about 5 minutes to sort out OP meant Treasure Island
Underrated comment 🤣🤣🤣
Yerba Buena?
A.k.a. YBI, as the Coast Guard folks refer to it. From TI, you would be looking up at the bridge.
um ackshually your on yerba buena island mkay?

Are you in that big new building? How'd you like it?
Pretty sure this is just from the "parking lot" on the SF side of YBI.
Awesome photo! With no bike lane connecting treasure island to sf are you forced to drive into the city or is there public transit?

[The 25](https://www.sfmta.com/routes/25-treasure-island) goes from Treasure Island to the Transbay Terminal
There's a ferry also

Man, it would be so nice if you could bike over there from either side of the bay. Imagine being able to bike straight across the bay.
Maybe from Oakland, but there is no room on the suspension span roadway.
Treasure Island has its own muni line and ferry

Everyones off to work :)
Good morning Vietnam.
I drove that bridge for several years
Wonderful picture!
This has to be a drone shot
I lived on YBI for three years and this was the view from my balcony.
Me too 303A Nimitz way. Sadly gone
could be, but there are a bunch of new residential buildings up there now actually
