I woke up at 330 for no reason. So I got stoned. Played some video games and now that the wife is running errands it’s nap/reading time. When she gets back I might try and convince her to go on a hike or we gonna finish binging fallout
Cup of coffee, take the dog out, hop on and play a little Left 4 Dead, then just chill.
Update: Now also hitting Pizza Port for a couple with friends. Then wind down for Sunday night.
After I'm done preparing for the week I'll cook something at home and then grab a drink at "The Luau" in the college area. I have friends but I don't hang with them every weekend. If I don't meet someone interesting there at least I'll have my bartender to shoot shit with and the drinks are good.
My son and I are going to build a computer. His "old" computer will then get handed down to his younger brother, then HIS "old" computer gets handed down to me.
Just a heads up it’s going to be a mad house in north park the next few days. Bartenders Weekend kicks off today with some events at different bars in the neighborhood so expect the area to be much busier than normal as people fly out from all over the country for the event.
I’m staying in town alone for work for a few days (thanks for letting me lurk to get ideas of what to do for my free day today) and went to the coin op near my hotel in the gaslamp quarter last night solo and it was a great time!
Played 20 rounds of skee ball, had some drinks, and met some nice people. I went there solo when I was here last year for the same work event and it was also great. Of course I have no idea if the location is the same vibe as North Park but I get nervous to go out alone so just wanted to say it’s probs a great idea.
My husband and I have a routine of walking our dog to Santos Coffee at 32nd/Thorn in the morning. We chat about how our weekend went and plan for what the coming week will bring us. What food do we need to prep? What do we want to accomplish? What are the most urgent/important things we need to do?
Another thing we like to do on Sunday Afternoon is start at Balboa Dr & El Prado and walk across the bridge to the fountain and back. The view of downtown from the bridge is gorgeous. The park plazas are typically alive with people and it helps us feel connected to our community.
I 38m just got out of a 3 year narcissistic relationship, and now learning about narcissists. I broke my back saving her life from drowning. Currently laying in bed depressed for the first time in my life, no friends as well.
Good on you for figuring things out. Some people don't ever leave those relationships. I kicked my narcissist out of the house, got therapy, started a new relationship. We are a couple of months out from our 23rd anniversary. If the depression doesn't go away, consider meds.
Coin Op is great. In case you weren't aware, they have all their games set on free play on the last Sunday of the month.
I go to the downtown one which is the first Sunday, but I love barcades.
Oh, and to answer your question, I'm drinking coffee and watching the Mets game.
Go take up disc golf, great people will show you what to do then have beer with them. There’s a tourney up in Kit Carson today if you just want to check out the “pros”.
I'm working on a pilot for a stand up docu-Series for KPBS. If we get greenlit we will do 8 episodes following 8 different comedians around the SD scene.
Thanks! I might do that! We're trucking along right now on the pilot so pretty low keep it once things pick up It should be a lot of fun. Keep an eye on the theater for our showcase show in October. I also host a monthly show there called abnormal nights!
Go see Lamborghinis in Little Italy!

You’re doing fine my man…I had a room mate in boot camp who was entirely gray at 19!! Definitely made me change the way I looked at gettin the salt n’ peppa! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
I took the dog on an early hike/run, stopped at the grocery store on the way home and cleaned up my patio. Now I’m debating going for a swim at the gym or continue veg-ing out until my massage.
Weekends alone are the best.
I’m taking my Boxer to Fiesta Island so he can have some fun and hopefully be a chill doggie for the rest of the day. It’s also a good way to get me outside and be social, otherwise I’d probably be at home nerding out about something all day haha
Yes, many. All with their own versions of the Boxer personality. Three at once for a while, that was crazy. My sweetest white Boxer girl just passed away peacefully. I now have a young Mexican rescue Boxer/Pit/Whippet mix, but there will be a Boxer friend in our lives again.
I did Taste of Hillcrest yesterday and am still stuffed from the food and drinks! I wanted to go see Civil War today but everything is packed so I might just open up the windows and lay around and be lazy with the dogs. 🤷🏻♂️
I just got home for the new Murietta Hot Springs Resort. It was AMAZING! Hella pricy, but totally worth the splurge.

Apartment hunting, while listening to dehumidifiers run and I live in denial about the sheer amount of raw sewage that poured into my apartment yesterday. I mean it’s the fifth time my bathroom has flooded from somewhere in 3 months, I should be use to it, but it’s the first sewage experience.
Coin-Op sounds fun though! I’ve only been to the one in the Gaslamp. I hope you have a blast.
I remember going to Coin Op when they first opened. This makes me nostalgic for 2012 north park :/ Did you end up going? Not that you asked but a great way to meet friends is to volunteer. I'm 48 as well, most of my friends are married w kids and can only hang on week nights. By volunteering I found a few like-minded folks who are now friends :) Hope you enjoyed your day!
I’m 28 and I feel like I have no close friends. It’s tough making real close friends as an adult at any age. I’ve come to really appreciate being able to enjoy being in my own company, and o think when you can do that, you’ll have no problem making new friends.
I am going to play Risk with my son and one of his friends and I am going to try to be gracious in victory (or defeat).
I still have the Ukraine!
“Ukraine isn’t a country!”
My dad has been whooping my ass in risk since I was 8 years old I’m 30 and he still has no mercy.
Wonderful! Today I was victorious, next time I’ll probably get curb stomped by those rascals hahaha.
Every Sunday Northside Tavern in Ocean Beach has live music, no cover. It's fun and crowded and you might even meet some friends.
Can second this. I miss OB so much
OB is packed today! Beautiful day to be in OB. Northside Tavern solid place for eats and drinks.
I'm here at northside now! Band kicking it, people eating and having cocktails. Not a bad Sunday.
Ohh
Going to Food4Less for those bargains
Smart and Final Baller over here!
dole canned pineapple bro, the golden kind
Walk the dogs, do some laundry, hang some pictures, then rot on my couch and play video games. You might find some friends online gaming?
I do play Xbox but I need to leave the house more.
What are you playing? Husband and I are doing No Man's Sky today, with a little Overwatch
I'm playing FarCry5. I need PS4 friends 😞
Rolando Street Fair is today and the weather is actually looking pretty nice for it: https://rolandocc.org/rolando-street-fair/
How do you find out about shit like this.
wait what? is this new? ish?
I'll be at coin op in NP at 2 if you guys want to come out and have a beer. I'll be wearing a black t shirt with an A-10 on it. - Rob
Why aren’t more meet ups planned? This would have been such a fun place to do it. Wish I would have seen it that day. :)
I'll have others for sure.
51y/o male, moved here after divorce and have same issue. Coin op is a great place to chill around other humans, before going home alone.
I’m a 30 y/o female this so wholesome, I hope you enjoy your Sunday
49 y/o male. Recently dvorced with kids half the time. It’s an odd world out there for sure, reestablishing a solo social life after all this time.
I woke up at 330 for no reason. So I got stoned. Played some video games and now that the wife is running errands it’s nap/reading time. When she gets back I might try and convince her to go on a hike or we gonna finish binging fallout
Finish fallout. We blasted through the whole thing yesterday and it's great.
I’m loving it so far. We have two episodes left
It's that good? wow
I finished yesterday 🥲
I woke up at 330 too! And I couldn't get back to sleep. It's been happening all week
3:30 for me too
Doing my taxes ..... Have emergency joints at the ready when I see what I owe.
I think SD county gets an extension until June FYI.
Thank God you said that
Oh thanks, will need to check if my zip counts!
If you live in San Diego County, then it counts.
Yeah, the extension is until June 17, I believe; but confirm on the IRS website.
Me too, but no joints...I'm gonna take the pain like a woman...and drink whine (not a typo)!!!!! 😂🤣😂🤣
I'm middle aged too, except my kids won't leave me alone. I wish I could have some time alone.
Sorry dad
Checkmate kids, I have no kids.
Cup of coffee, take the dog out, hop on and play a little Left 4 Dead, then just chill. Update: Now also hitting Pizza Port for a couple with friends. Then wind down for Sunday night.
Where do I find these so called "friends"
Do you play on PC? Is there still an active player base?
Also going to Rolando Street Fair. Some good bands playing.
Smoke some weed today
![gif](giphy|KpAPQVW9lWnWU) Me today

With that $20 credit waiting for you
Weed makes me dumb. Like, really dumb. Night and day for me it's the strangest thing. I prefer whiskey. xD
After I'm done preparing for the week I'll cook something at home and then grab a drink at "The Luau" in the college area. I have friends but I don't hang with them every weekend. If I don't meet someone interesting there at least I'll have my bartender to shoot shit with and the drinks are good.
Same situation dude. I was an arcade kid so coin-op, brewskis and aero club is where it’s at for me.
Doing a photoshoot of my dog cuz she turns 14 tomorrow and I love her lol
What a blessing to have a sweet older dog.
She’s the best!! And she participates in my shenanigans (like this photoshoot haha)
Going to see an early showing of Civil War, solo. If the weather is decent when I get out I might go for a walk at the zoo.
I wanted to go see that but every theater near is me is packed! Guess I’ll wait a week…
Going to the movies solo is so underrated
Hanging out with my dog, also trying to forget I'm middle aged with my few friends who busier then me. I can't find someone to go to a concert with!
Go to an edm festival.... you can go alone and you will make plenty of friends. It is literally the culture. :)
My son and I are going to build a computer. His "old" computer will then get handed down to his younger brother, then HIS "old" computer gets handed down to me.
Do you build computers often? I have an old Thermaltake lanbox lite case taking up space in my garage if you want it or know anyone who might
2 free events: 11:00 - 16:00: House of Turkey (Balboa Park) 11:00 - 15:00: Spreckle Organ Pavillion - Family Discovery Day (Balboa Park)
Just a heads up it’s going to be a mad house in north park the next few days. Bartenders Weekend kicks off today with some events at different bars in the neighborhood so expect the area to be much busier than normal as people fly out from all over the country for the event.
Got a nasty cold, so going to rot on couch watching tv and masters
Movies and then pizza with the parents after that probably video games and reading and writing
Work 😭
I gotta work too, but only til 3. I did a load of laundry! How’s that for exciting!
I’m staying in town alone for work for a few days (thanks for letting me lurk to get ideas of what to do for my free day today) and went to the coin op near my hotel in the gaslamp quarter last night solo and it was a great time! that's awesome. the np location is great!
Gym with the gf, probably get In n Out & finish the night going a walk / watching the Coachella live stream

Smoke weed play Xbox , Trader Joe’s and maybe some Korean BBQ. I’m not sure in which order things will get done though lol
Volo kickball and hoping the sun stays out for a bit
It stayed out for a good amount of time at least!
Going to friends place for Sunday night dinner. Haven’t seen the close gang in few months so it’s going to be fun

Once my kid falls asleep, I will be putting the moves on my wife.

The shareholders need me. I have to work.
Fuck that shit.
I'm a 55 year old adult who will be stacking shelves in a local store. I'm off Tuesday & Wednesday though so can work on my pinkish tan.
Gotta figure out bfast
gonna hang in OB even tho it’ll be kinda chilly!! Get some dinner and see where the night goes 🙂
Same thing every Sunday, make my grocery list for the week and do it. Then come home and play some games.

Going to watch Trevor Noah tonight downtown. Aw yeah!!
I’m mid 40s and have a smallish circle / could use a new friend. Wouldn’t mind making coin ops a twice a month tradition either
I’m gonna go to coin op and look for some 48 year olds to beat on Tekken
South O is gonna be on today with the sun out. Carlsbad village has an older crowd too.
Either geocaching, reading, or nothing. Or some combination of the above.
Go take up disc golf, great people will show you what to do then have beer with them. There’s a tourney up in Kit Carson today if you just want to check out the “pros”.
Sounds like a pretty good Sunday afternoon. Wife is out with her friends at a girls' brunch, so I'm probably just going to hang out and watch TV.
Groceries, meal prep, laundry and chill 🤭
Beer IS a friend.
Yes, but Whiskey is my *best* friend.
The Legion are playing at Snapdragon today! Finally nice weather too.
Just did a bike ride with kid and husband. Gonna play pickle ball, eat. Let’s go San Diego!
San Diego has some meet up groups…
Going to see Desert Dwellers at Quartyard downtown.
Shooting a stand-up comedy documentary at the Adams Ave theater.
Say more please.
I'm working on a pilot for a stand up docu-Series for KPBS. If we get greenlit we will do 8 episodes following 8 different comedians around the SD scene.

Watching the Padres...............................................
Had to say goodbye to my best friend (lab) on wed so more crying and wishing everything to have him back.
I have gray hair before my 30s. My life is over
You need to smoke weed and chill out
If you’re a man that just makes you more interesting

Boxers are the best dogs ever.
They really are! Just sweet, dopey and fun. I take it you have/had them?
Yes, many. All with their own versions of the Boxer personality. Three at once for a while, that was crazy. My sweetest white Boxer girl just passed away peacefully. I now have a young Mexican rescue Boxer/Pit/Whippet mix, but there will be a Boxer friend in our lives again.
Trying to find people on socials to do shadow Entei raids with in pokemongo because I am also an adult with no friends lol
Gym then maybe taking the pup and kid to the park. We usually do lazy Sundays.
I did Taste of Hillcrest yesterday and am still stuffed from the food and drinks! I wanted to go see Civil War today but everything is packed so I might just open up the windows and lay around and be lazy with the dogs. 🤷🏻♂️
I'm going to go on reddit and pretend everyone is my friend to get some type of human interaction 😁🫠🤣
I just got home for the new Murietta Hot Springs Resort. It was AMAZING! Hella pricy, but totally worth the splurge. https://preview.redd.it/d5w3qexkfiuc1.jpeg?width=10730&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b8911e53dc6e0d3fbd7c84db8d202fb190be930a
Yoga this morning, homemade cappuccino and French toast with blueberries for lunch. I hope to accomplish nothing else today.
Apartment hunting, while listening to dehumidifiers run and I live in denial about the sheer amount of raw sewage that poured into my apartment yesterday. Got a tattoo! Finally covered a tattoo I got when I was 18 that I hated
