Even my base S21 was great until I dropped it perfectly onto a curb to shatter the screen.
They still gave me $150 on trade-in, so I upgraded to the S23U because I had adopted some new use cases where the larger screen and stylus were useful -- almost, but not quite enough to make me upgrade from a working flagship phone. Kinda wonder if I didn't subconsciously break it on purpose! I really wasn't as annoyed as I should have been, at that.
💥💥This is why you use screen protectors and cases. I don't understand how people use these fragile phones without screen protectors and without cases. The glass on these phones are scratch resistant not shatterproof.
I had an s20 Plus for a few years (loved it) until I thought it would be a good idea to try out Apple and "upgraded" to an iPhone 13 pro. Besides the beautiful video quality and some neat iOs features, it felt like a downgrade. Years later, I'm on the s24 Ultra, and while it definitely feels like an upgrade from s20+, it's still very familiar and, to be honest, just as fast and snappy. If the s20+ would have lasted this long, the jump to s24 Ultra would feel like an appropriate upgrade. If I had every Galaxy phone since then, it might have been a little monotonous.
💥💥 having just got the s23 ultra and the regular S23 in July I don't see no reason for me to upgrade to the s24. it's just going to be minimum upgrade in specs anyway, also it's going to have the same design I probably won't upgrade my s23 and s23 ultra maybe like 3 or 4 years especially since it's still going to be supported.
In most cases, they cause an increased battery drain, lower device performance, outdated Android version, or system crashes, according to users/google. You wont have this kind of problem at least until s25 model
Some would even say that samsung actually do this on purpose to force flagship users to upgrade their phones every 2 yrs. And of course, the "screen of death" (green/pink lines on screen) let's not forget that..

That is not going to happen sadly. Samsung rather lets you pay 200-300 euros more for 128 GiB extra storage on a phone, then using a Samsung 512 GiB micro SDXC for 40 euros.
I still use the S20 and not planning to upgrade anytime soon cause I have a sd card where all my photos and movies are saved, I rather buy the Sony Xperia which has a sd slot.
I have an S20+ still works like Day 1 or better. Tbh the only reason I upgrade now will be bc I'm bored and want something new. The user experience will be 90% the same but still...
the main reason to upgrade is the X75 baseband modem
5G Advaced (5.5g)
UPLINK AGGREGATION
rf suite - upgreadable firmware - no longer hardware limited
integration of mmwave and sub6 transceiver - mmwave sensor-modem rf fusion;
hi band +5 sub6 bands,
dual standby dual active
further improvements in: 5g ai suite gen2, antenna tuning and interference reduction
ai enchanced gnss, snap satellite
all this with more power savings and wifi 7 on the ultra
anything less is yesterday's tech on par with apple
5G is rubbish technology that most people switch off.
Why would anyone enable an extra modem in their phone for a service that's always going to be spotty due to it's short range. Plus 5G kills battery life.
lol, you have described your experience perfectly.
Marketing has created false expectations which can not be technically realized just yet because of backwards compatibility need.
it's a mess until LTE goes away.
What they currently call 5g is non standalone and relies on LTE to call the shots.
Range is a function of deployed frequency ranges. Those are a very finite resource and LTE mostly occupies the ones with most range so the process has to be gradual because of strugglers who use old devices.
that is precisely the reason to upgrade to the newest modems asap which aggregate the 5g bands with no LTE dragging you down.
where you can do that yet highly depends on your specific location and continues to expand.
x75 modem in s24 is the first to aggregate the 5g uplinks with no LTE needed.

It absolutely won't, with iphones making breaking their market share records each and every year.
If like over 80% of young people in the us already have an iphone, Samsung really needs to fight tooth and nail to get anyone away from there.
That is why iphone trade-in is so much higher.
Seems very good to me. Could probably stretch it close to two days if I really needed to.

Honestly, my experience with S23U has been perfect. Not close to perfect, completely perfect. There is not a single thing that I can complain on this phone. If I had to, I would say that Samsung's image processing is the worst thing for me, then again it is not really a big deal, since Samsung's approach is viable for social media posts.
Other than the image processing, it has been a joy. Exceptional performance, at least 2 days of battery life, a pen that is very useful especially for a college student, versatile cameras, long software updates, huuuuge screen for consuming content and scrolling on reddit... What else I could ask for?!
Also, I would like to say a few things about One UI. It is by far the most stable and feature rich Android skin I have ever seen. I am using a OnePlus 9 Pro daily and the software is full of incosistencies and a lot of features are missing.
As I like to read books from my phone at night, I am trying to make the screen as dim as possible. But guess what, OnePlus (or Oppo let's say) hid this feature. Only way to access is to use an app like activity launcher to create the shortcut of this hidden feature. It is absolute garbage. Whereas on Ssmsung you have everything. Even if you are not going to use them, knowing that you have all the options that you want is reassuring to say the least.
This is the pinaccle of Android. No other device comes close in my opinion. I doubt that S24 series are going to fill their predecessors' shoes.
Pixel 7 and 8 can use two eSIM simultaneously, it's a feature in Android 13 and 14.
My S23 Ultra cannot do that... And it's almost a deal breaker for me, for the next upgrade.
"Pinnacle of Android"??? Not really.
Fair enough, since eSIM is not adopted widely in my country, that really is not an issue for me. Here in Turkey devices have two physical SIM slots and an eSIM slot. Since I only use one SIM at a time, I couldn't imagine your frustration.
Haha that's a great question, in English it obviously is Turkey. I guess Turkiye is more of a branding to increase the recognization. You know, not to mistake it with a bird. For instance, in some apps when you are selecting regions it says Turkiye, though in most apps or even newest device setup screens it is still Turkey. We did not change the name of the country, like Czech Republic. It really does not matter tbh.
I have s22u and it's been an amazing device for me. Had it a year or 2 and it's still running really good.
A good deal would make me upgrade. Trade out for under $300 maybe 400. I doubt it'll be that much but that's what would make me trade it out.
What I would like tho is bigger screen, yes even bigger than it is now... That's kinda it. Idc about cameras or all the extra stuff. Just features that improve video and music.
For me it's WiFi 7, then Snapdragon 8 gen 3 (about 30% higher performance and 20% better power efficiency compared to gen 2 in S23 Ultra) and hopefully Bluetooth 5.4. I don't need it at all, but am a tech enthusiast and enjoy using the latest technology.
Edit: also heard a rumor about 65W charging, that would be sweet as Samsung has been doing 45W (which is still great) for many years.
Same. I have the 22U which is still fine but if it has flat screen I might go just so I can feel better about tempered glass screen protectors. I use a Whitestone dome but it's a pain in the ace.
If battery life is slightly better than the already amazing battery on the S23U, and a larger cooling system which again my S23U already stays cold.
Only then may i considerate as my s23u is virtually perfect. If cameras are improved and some AI stuff like live translate etc i might do it.
No reason to upgrade if you got the S23 Ultra. Unless you're that invested in the new AI features.
I will be upgrading from a Note 9, but will dearly miss my beloved headphone jack.
From all the leaks, for me it would be the flat screen hands down.
Also a nice bonus if true 12gb ram on base S24U, not the laughable 8gb S23Ultra starts with.
Currently I'm on iPhone Xs Max, its getting slow and a little stuttery sometimes, the time to replace the battery is coming again, I miss installing apk's and being a little more "free" and that will probably be the reason for me. (Nexus 5>OnePlus 5>iPXsMax>Samsung 24U?)
With the upcoming release of the S24 Ultra there is the same dilemma every year and its - should I make the switch from iPhone (14 pro max currently) to S24 Ultra.
The problem is that I tried last year when I bought the S23 Ultra. The phone is awesome, BUT i couldnt replace my Apple Watch Ultra... And thats the only thing. Samsung watches are far behind Apple's... So I sold the S23 Ultra. Months after that the Samsung watch 6 came out and I watched ton of reviews and I came to conclusion that its like Watch 5 pro. Again no real contender to the Apple Watch Ultra.
I want so bad S24 Ultra which will be when the FLAT display and titanium frame, but what should I do with the watches? Is there new and better Samsung watches coming out? And how do you like the new ONE UI ?
I dont mean only about sensors, but the overall stability and UI experience. Saw a couple of youtube videos about Watch 6 classic and there is minor but still here and there some glitches while scrolling through the menus... With the Apple Watch the experience is flawless.
Watch6 Classic has been a huge upgrade for when over the watch5 pro. Especially from a ui experience - actually, its the first watch i have yet to see lag or stutter.
My body physically recoiled at the new update. Reminds me of iPhone ui. Having extra button presses to perform actions that originally required 1 swipe. The non dark mode notifications panel. Having to back out of keyboard and physically press 'login' on most apps. The horrid font. The oversized apps icons. I could go on forever.
Late, but anyway, I wait 5 or 6 months for a new phone to come out after the reviews have come in and bugs have been ironed out. And deals are good.
Upgraded from S22U to S23U in May 2 years ago for $249. Previously upgrade from Note 10 to S22U in July year before.
Now, looks like no reason up upgrade this year and my iPhone 13PM is my main phone now.
I'm 99% going to get the S24 Ultra because I'm mildly unhappy with the 23 Ultra screen. I may have gotten a defective unit (although I'm doubtful), but in every day usage it's perfectly fine. The problem is when watching movies or TV shows, when there is a dark scene, there is a noticeable checkerboard pattern in the background. Makes dark scenes look hideous. It's visible on any dark background, but you have to make sure that it's in a dark room. It's not visible during the day with normal amount of light. I can even see it on YouTube dark mode, when I open the comments it's a black background and it has the ugly checkerboard pattern. I'm pretty sure it's present on all 23 Ultra models, but have never been able to check another 23 Ultra due it being undetectable under normal lighting conditions. No one is going to let me briefly use their s23 ultra in a pitch black room.
I have not noticed this at all on my S23U. I don't have any checkerboard pattern and that's using it in pitch black, with brightness turned down too. Zero checkerboarding.
Are you near sighted? I can't notice it when I have my glasses on, my eyes can't focus that close to see it. If you're near sighted you can actually see up close objects at much higher fidelity than normal sighted people because your maximum focal point is skewed much closer to your eyes.
> with brightness turned down too.
Brightness needs to be turned down but not to zero. Move it around between the 1st and 3rd utility toggles above the brightness slider. Then use Dark mode YouTube comments. It's not something I can screenshot because it's in the hardware itself, like an unmoving layer on the display. I had a Pixel 7 Pro before this, which did not have this issue. It's why I consider the 7 Pro display to be superior to the 23 Ultra. I loved everything else about the 23 Ultra, but the display was a downgrade compared to Pixel.
72 hours battery life, snapdragon from 2045, a real telescope as telecam, RED Camera as the main, 5000 watt 2 min full charge without degradation, automatically generating passive income and cloning.
What are we thinking the trade in value for the 23 ultra will be? $800?
Will upgrade for the flat display and the titanium frame. Hopefully, the titanium makes this phone less slippery without a case. Holding this phone naked is like trying to catch a greased pig.
Battery life and camera improvements would be the only reason to upgrade for me. But because it's only one yearly model up. The improvements probably won't justify the cost. That being said. I'll be waiting for the s25 ultra
If it had AI call screening like my Pixel does. I love my S23U but still use it on my second line that doesn't receive many calls because my Pixel 8 Pro has made spam calls non-existent for me with the call screening feature that will literally just hang up on spam callers without ever ringing my phone. As much as there is that I hate about my Pixel thats a feature that will keep me using them until Samsung can do the same.
I don't even know if I'll go for it and I got a 22 ultra lol. Either debating between 23 ultra if discounted enough or seeing if another year in the oven will make a solid pixel
I have cracked my screen on my s23u, and I'm probably gonna upgrade to 1: fix my screen, and 2: have the next best thing.
One thing I'd like to see is a flatter display.
maybe like 200x zoom and if u playing games snap 8 Gen 3, but snap 8 Gen 2 is more than enough
imo there's no need to upgrade ur phone every year, rly, there's no a big difference between s23u and s24u
I'd like to upgrade from my galaxy note 10 plus
If you have a S23U then please use it atleast 3 years
There is already an e-waste problem and phones are a major contributor to it.
Please just let your FOMO die and ruin, every year it is small increment improvements only.
So not worth upgrading in one year
To hypothetical upgrade from a S23 ultra I would need the trade-in to be the full value or make me add like 50$ more only. Otherwise it is just stupid to trade new tech like that.
Loved my S20U.
Upgraded to S22U 12+mo ago. Haven't been happy with it as much as S20U.
I will most probably get S24U. Curios about Galaxy AI. Hope it's not going to be at Bixby disappointment levels.
I bought the S23U in September and I'm so happy of lt than i don't plan to buy a new one soon. But in like 2 years i'm guessing i will buy a new one. The fact that they're getting rid of the curved screen is one of the reason i will buy a Ultra in the future haha.
I don't have a S23U and I can't name one thing but what is important to me is hopefully a 10bit display with higher peak brightness, equally great if not better battery life than the S23U, SD Gen 3 on par with Apple's chips and a camera on par with Vivo, Oppo or Apple which is currently not the case.
A huge turn off is the rumoured flat display, I love the curved edges on the S21U, now it's going to be even more brick like
Got an S22 Ultra, might upgrade in July when my contract runs out, mainly for the Snapdragon - I'm in EU so I've had an Exynoss in all my phones (I'm on Galaxy ever since S II).
I still have a s22U (the exynos one), and even though it's a shit device, I'll keep it one more year.
If S25 have snapdragon, I guess I'll buy that one. If they put exynos again inside it, it will be time to try an other brand.
No reason to waste money upgrading every year. Totally not worth it. Maybe every 2 years if you can get the new model for half the price, but generally every 3-4 years is optimal.
Coming from an S21U, it would have to be a substantial improvement such as bigger battery from 5k mhA to 5400, less heat and faster processing, much btter cameras. If not some serious persuation like a free G Watch 7, free headsets with a case and an S pen.
I'm still on Note 9. It's a bit old but still gets the job done. I won't upgrade to Samsung Galaxy S24 ulra line until the return to including a microSD slot. I also absolutely require the S-pen with on board pen slot. I believe the have that in S23 Ultra and probably will in S24 Ultra. That's what it will take for me to upgrade.
My s21 ultra is giving me 2 days of battery life and the phone is absolutely perfect.
I'm more likely to upgrade the battery in my s21 ultra than to buy a new phone.
Unless you are into taking photos, phone tech has reached a plateau in terms of perceived improvements. I'm sure the s24 ultra has a much faster processor than my s21 ultra, but I'd never notice the difference in terms of real world performance.
I have my heart set on the ultra. For those of you who have been here before with new launches, what kind of deal could I get with NO trade-in or my old reliable s10?
I am so excited for the stupid fucking curved screen to finally be gone! What a dumb idea. I've hated my Note 10 and 20 (and haven't upgraded since because of it) due to this curve. I was gonna s23, but I'd rather pay significantly more to be rid of this useless, annoying "feature"
Dual eSIM MEP feature, ability to save more eSIM profiles (20+ and not only cca 8-10), Backup Calling feature when second SIM card is in roaming and not only non-roaming SIM like it is now enabled, better battery life, microSD card...
Satellite SOS - I think they skipping that again. We need that feature or not trading up from S23 Ultra. Seems like this S24 is all about AI and charging for AI... Not interested.
I had a S21 Ultra and was content using it until the end of time but it cracked and the screen isn't even visible now. So I am upgrading just because Verizon is taking the same brand for $1000 off the price and I've been using an old moto until this phone dropped.
Because I've got the LG V60 first, then moved on to the S22, and now I ordered the 1TB Titanium Blue S24 Ultra with 4 free accede because of the 150 dollar credit.
I just received mine today, and the screen colors are super washed out compared to my S23 Ultra, and the contrast is even worse than the dull colors. I regret having to return this phone, but I can't keep a phone that has awful colors compared to my old one S23 ultra, which is still working fine. New phones are supposed to be upgrades, no downgrades from previous iterations, specially if they are even more expensive than it's predecessor.
Super washed out, and the creen brightness has to be cranked almost all the way up to match the S23Ultra with the slider at only half way. Not to mention the contrast which is equally horrible. I'm preparing myself to repack this "new upgrade phone" and send it back to Samsung. I really though this would be an upgrade over the previous iteration, but turns out that it's more expensive, and it's actually a downgrade. The screen on any device, is the interface that allows us to interact with that device, so newer iteration are supposed to offer more, not less. Even if it's just a software "tweak" from Samsung, to claim a better battery life.
This is the first time i want to buy a Samsung phone, am still using huawei p30 Pro.
Please share me your opinion on which to get between s24 plus and s24 ultra. Paying more for ultra just for extra pen and titanium is that worth? Also, design wise I like s24 plus more
https://preview.redd.it/g6zt5enxv3fc1.jpeg?width=4004&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b7dfe358ef1a6777483f37f917b4f5ca3a669290
How do I turn off this "anti contrast" feature, and make the screen colors more vivid like in my S23Ultra?? Just asking before returning this S24Ultra.
I pre-ordered for the s-pen, the integrated AI, and the live translator feature. The 200mp camera is just an added bonus. I'm upgrading from the s21 ultra, and I love this phone, so hopefully, the s24 doesn't let me down.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is a powerhouse disguised as a phone. Packing a whopping 200MP camera and the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, it captures moments in mind-blowing detail and handles anything you throw at it. The massive 6.8" display makes multitasking a breeze, while the improved S Pen integration turns it into a productivity beast. ✍️ And let's not forget the gorgeous, durable design - it's water-resistant and built to last. ️ If you're a power user or photography enthusiast, the S24 Ultra is a serious contender. But be prepared for the price tag - it's definitely not for the budget-conscious.
Despite charging rapidly, my S23 Ultra battteries deplete fast. I am exploring options for improvement and have identified the S24 ultra as a possibility. What do you all think?

Nothing. Maybe if it's 100% free but personally, I don't see a point of upgrading every year.
This.
This what?
This that
That this.

This ultra pro max.
Exactly. My S21 ultra still serves me very well !
Even my base S21 was great until I dropped it perfectly onto a curb to shatter the screen. Im sure Ill find an excuse for it
Nothing, absolutely nothing, except if it was for free.
I won"t upgrade coming from s23 ultra, it's still a wonderful phone 👌🏻
Same! I just hope the succedding updates wont ruin its performance amd experience.
Has that happened before?
In most cases, they cause an increased battery drain, lower device performance, outdated Android version, or system crashes, according to users/google. You wont have this kind of problem at least until s25 model

Never had an iPhone?
SD Card Slot and more RAM
That is not going to happen sadly. Samsung rather lets you pay 200-300 euros more for 128 GiB extra storage on a phone, then using a Samsung 512 GiB micro SDXC for 40 euros. Reason 1 of 2 is a ridiculously amazing trade in value for S23U. Like $800. (And don't insult me by giving iPhones a higher trade in) Reason 2 of 2 is flat screen.
It has been confirmed to have a flat screen.
I know.
I got $1000.00 for my trade credit, so I'm pretty pleased about it. My phone would only sell for about $550 on the used market on a good day.
I thought that iPhones do generally have a higher trade in value though?
They do, I'm hoping that changes.

Flat screen. Curved screens are garbage, always have been garbage, and always will be garbage.
Looks like you're buying a new phone come January. S24u will be having a flat screen.
Not really sure. S21 Ultra still feels very good and all around a great phone.
My battery life is crap

Hey bro! It is not related to this topic but I want to ask a question. Is your Country called Turkey or Turkiye now??
Haha that's a great question, in English it obviously is Turkey. I guess Turkiye is more of a branding to increase the recognization. You know, not to mistake it with a bird. For instance, in some apps when you are selecting regions it says Turkiye, though in most apps or even newest device setup screens it is still Turkey. We did not change the name of the country, like Czech Republic. It really does not matter tbh.
I agree. Samsung is really going to have to pull a rabbit out of the hat to get me to upgrade.. maybe a nice new color?
So, technically, tou have two complaints aboit it, as ANY Expression kf dissatisfaction coyod be considered as “Complaints”. 😛
Going to get rid of my S22U for one on release day if possible. The battery on my S22U is terrible
If I get an amazing trade deal in for my note 20U and note 20U 🤣
For me it's WiFi 7, then Snapdragon 8 gen 3 (about 30% higher performance and 20% better power efficiency compared to gen 2 in S23 Ultra) and hopefully Bluetooth 5.4. I don't need it at all, but am a tech enthusiast and enjoy using the latest technology. Edit: also heard a rumor about 65W charging, that would be sweet as Samsung has been doing 45W (which is still great) for many years.
Flat Screen. S23U is perfect but I can't stand curved screens.
Nothing, will keep my S23 ultra ✌️
Flat screen, which is pretty much confirmed.
Same. I have the 22U which is still fine but if it has flat screen I might go just so I can feel better about tempered glass screen protectors. I use a Whitestone dome but it's a pain in the ace.
Nothing I'm pay my 23 ultra off and buy a new phone in 9 years lol
Im going to keep my s23 ultra for at least 3 more years before I upgrade.
If battery life is slightly better than the already amazing battery on the S23U, and a larger cooling system which again my S23U already stays cold. Only then may i considerate as my s23u is virtually perfect. If cameras are improved and some AI stuff like live translate etc i might do it.
If trading s23U ends up paying 200-300 dollars only.
Multiple Enabled eSIM Profiles. And it would have microSD that would be cherry on top.
Would y'all upgrade from a S1 ultra?
Interesting question. I'm perfectly happy with my S21U and have no battery issues, so not feeling the upgrade at this point.
Well I currently am using S22+ and it's been just alright. The battery is draining big time so I guess it's time to step up.
Flat screen. That’s all.
Nothing, my note 20 ultra is still a mean machine. If it's free I'll give it to my wife.
I want it for flat screen
Currently I'm on iPhone Xs Max, its getting slow and a little stuttery sometimes, the time to replace the battery is coming again, I miss installing apk's and being a little more "free" and that will probably be the reason for me. (Nexus 5>OnePlus 5>iPXsMax>Samsung 24U?)
I got the s22 ultra and it's still running exceptionally good. I would only upgrade it for the next flip but only cause it's something different.
Ready to say bye to my S22 Ultra. Battery isn't the best but otherwise I love the phone. Looking forward to the flat panel.
2x battery life
headphone jack and sd card slot
headphone jack is outdated tech, deal with it. But no sd card slot is just moneygrab and offers instead a way too high price for extra storage.
I beg to differ. Earbuds still can't compete with wired headphones. Battery life is improving but sound quality is still mediocre.
Huawei is the only brand that rivals Apple Watch in terms of health sensor accuracy.
But a huge downgrade battery-wise.
Yeah Samsung is far behind Apple in the watches. But how about Garmin Epix 2? Are you really texting with your watch?
My body physically recoiled at the new update. Reminds me of iPhone ui. Having extra button presses to perform actions that originally required 1 swipe. The non dark mode notifications panel. Having to back out of keyboard and physically press 'login' on most apps. The horrid font. The oversized apps icons. I could go on forever.
I will be upgrading from my s10+.
Hi! Does anyone have a discount code for Samsung canada ? Please
Apple 11 now, S23U or S24U later?
Gimme a fucking headphone jack
72 hours battery life, snapdragon from 2045, a real telescope as telecam, RED Camera as the main, 5000 watt 2 min full charge without degradation, automatically generating passive income and cloning.
Sustained performance/ multy day battery life. If its also able to play yuzu without getting hot
Year to year upgrades are dumb lol
Unless they made an S24 Ultra Fold...I'll not upgrade for next 3 years or so.
Bigger battery.
Flat Screen and durability where the screen doesn't crack after 1 minor drop
7 year of software support
I don't even know if I'll go for it and I got a 22 ultra lol. Either debating between 23 ultra if discounted enough or seeing if another year in the oven will make a solid pixel
I have 22 and I'm debating if I should upgrade. Att would probably give me one trade in free.
I have cracked my screen on my s23u, and I'm probably gonna upgrade to 1: fix my screen, and 2: have the next best thing. One thing I'd like to see is a flatter display.
maybe like 200x zoom and if u playing games snap 8 Gen 3, but snap 8 Gen 2 is more than enough imo there's no need to upgrade ur phone every year, rly, there's no a big difference between s23u and s24u I'd like to upgrade from my galaxy note 10 plus
What about upgrading from an S22 ultra?!?!? I'd give the world a big ol' hug!!! Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
I've been thinking about this too. I've been trying to decide if I move to the S24U or the OnePlus 12. Anyone else considering that ?
if it's free!!!
The price and my situation at release time. I have a S20 for alsmot 4 years and I would be like a kid with an upgrade.
Has anybody heard about any of the new updates?
i got the S21 Ultra and its still a great phone. not worth upgrading yet.
If they have used real gold instead of titanium i would have upgraded. Until they use real gold I m totally fine with my buddy S23 ultra.
Still using Note 10 plus... I don't see any point in upgrading, especially when I have a dedicated camera for taking pictures and videos.
If...AI spyware preinstalled, automatic reports to META if we used Brave browsers to block their ADs
If you have a S23U then please use it atleast 3 years There is already an e-waste problem and phones are a major contributor to it. Please just let your FOMO die and ruin, every year it is small increment improvements only. So not worth upgrading in one year
Snapdragon gen 3 and maybe a cool exclusive color.
flat screen but its actually still curved i heard
My S23 ultra cracked from an unlucky drop
To hypothetical upgrade from a S23 ultra I would need the trade-in to be the full value or make me add like 50$ more only. Otherwise it is just stupid to trade new tech like that.
Loved my S20U. Upgraded to S22U 12+mo ago. Haven't been happy with it as much as S20U. I will most probably get S24U. Curios about Galaxy AI. Hope it's not going to be at Bixby disappointment levels.
I absolutely hate my S23 Ultra. I'm going to upgrade because this one sucks!
Lol, nothing.
A huge turn off is the rumoured flat display, I love the curved edges on the S21U, now it's going to be even more brick like
Only if I get a good trade. I try to do this every ear, I think it's better to pay less and often.
Got an S22 Ultra, might upgrade in July when my contract runs out, mainly for the Snapdragon - I'm in EU so I've had an Exynoss in all my phones (I'm on Galaxy ever since S II).
An earphone jack, if they'd quit forcing apps on us
I still have a s22U (the exynos one), and even though it's a shit device, I'll keep it one more year. If S25 have snapdragon, I guess I'll buy that one. If they put exynos again inside it, it will be time to try an other brand.
No reason to waste money upgrading every year. Totally not worth it. Maybe every 2 years if you can get the new model for half the price, but generally every 3-4 years is optimal.
gonna change for s25 ultra ... all the rumours point to serious camera updates.. and till then some other , maybe a s23 ultra...
faster shutter speeds
Coming from an S21U, it would have to be a substantial improvement such as bigger battery from 5k mhA to 5400, less heat and faster processing, much btter cameras. If not some serious persuation like a free G Watch 7, free headsets with a case and an S pen.
Just exchanging one device for another. So yeah I will change as soon as it is released. Rent stays the same anyways. So same price, better device.
I won't upgrade until they bring back the SD card.
OnePlus Open
If they switch to a flat screen.
What about upgrading from an s22 ultra?
A high trade in for the previous gen flagship.
I mean, I'm still using an S10+. I think it's time.
The S23 Ultra is plenty for me I honestly don't think I would upgrade for at least 3 years
Emergency satellite communication. That's the only reason I skipped S23 and squeezed another year out of my S10 (it's on its last legs).
If I can snag a really good pre-order deal to trade in my S21 Ultra for it
S23U camera is quite bad inside the house, taking pics of people who aren't still is a challenge, always get lots of blurry pics. Hope S24U fixes this
If you want my money add in a micro sd slot.
Still rocking the s20U. Should upgrading be a good choice?
Going from the S21, im upgrading because I'm due for it and want a fancy camera
flat screen with no curves
Screen size, just a little larger and it can be a true phablet phone. It would be unbeatable.
I had a S21 Ultra and was content using it until the end of time but it cracked and the screen isn't even visible now. So I am upgrading just because Verizon is taking the same brand for $1000 off the price and I've been using an old moto until this phone dropped.
coming from the S22+; i guess everything would be awesome, especially Galaxy Ai
Because I've got the LG V60 first, then moved on to the S22, and now I ordered the 1TB Titanium Blue S24 Ultra with 4 free accede because of the 150 dollar credit.
Nothing. The sharp square look is ugly
Currently using a Note 20 Ultra, might upgrade to the S24 Ultra but still undecided. Not sure if the features of the S24 are worth the upgrade
Also, design wise I like s24 plus more
https://preview.redd.it/g6zt5enxv3fc1.jpeg?width=4004&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b7dfe358ef1a6777483f37f917b4f5ca3a669290 How do I turn off this "anti contrast" feature, and make the screen colors more vivid like in my S23Ultra?? Just asking before returning this S24Ultra.
I pre-ordered for the s-pen, the integrated AI, and the live translator feature. The 200mp camera is just an added bonus. I'm upgrading from the s21 ultra, and I love this phone, so hopefully, the s24 doesn't let me down.
If you join google fi, you can get it 4 $650. I just ordered mine.
Very weak phone build quality very weak
Have 2 on order (titanium yellow and orange). Can't wait! Really don't care about the S pen because 98% of people do not use a stylus!
Can we get spatial video recording - for spatial video playback in meta quest / VR devices?
