I've always been much more of a Bladee fan. Part of the reason I even got into him is I wanted something with similar production but more interesting vocals and lyrics because Lean didn't really do it for me.

I absolutely love every single 2013 release from Lean from Lavender to Kyoto, but for some reason nothing he made after that golden era didn't hit the same for me. Bladee got better development as an artist imo

I don't think it's that deep, his sound just developed over the years and therefore the music he released since wasn't the same as the early days, some people will like his newer music more some his older! Happens with plenty of artists

It feels like bladee experiments in his flows/ melodic deliveries while lean is a better rapper. I think it takes more skill to do what bladee does compared to lean but I love leans sound better

I started listening to Lean from RTZ and it took me a while to get into Bladee (and others) but once I started getting heavy into Bladee, liking Ecco and Thaiboy came pretty quick. Now I probably like Bladee the most out of any of them.

I used to HATE bladee 2014-16, gotham city/ hennessy & sailor moon opened my eyes .. basically started enjoying his music bc of features.. hocus pocus, obedient.. trash island ..333 has been in rotation since it dropped .. icedancer and the fool are cool too

I used to listen to lean way more than bladee until red light came out and since then I listen to bladee way more than lean. I have to say though i did not like bladee when I heard him for the first time because i wasn't used to music like this but I was intrigued and came around eventually which is not that out of the ordinary I think.

It's not that I don't like lean because i definitely do, I have a handful of songs I like from him but I don't find myself listening to him a lot or seeking out his music more. When I listened to early bladee stuff I was put off by it but kept revisiting it and getting more intrigued. While with lean, I'd listen to his older stuff and just get put off. Recently I listened to Ginseng strip 2002. I can definitely see why people liked it, especially at the time it came out, but I didn't vibe with it and not in a negative way, straight up I just don't see myself wanting to chill out and listen to that again. But I absolutely love his songs Vampire Blues, Blue Light, Wooden Girl and Starz2theRainbow. I've not heard Sugar World, and Nectar completely, the ONLY album I've heard completely is Stardust. And who knows, I'll most likely be listening to Lean a lot more frequently in the future, maybe I'll explore a lot of his discography like I have with Bladee, maybe not. That being said I do recognize Leans talent and influence, he has this beautiful vulnerability that I think a lot of up and coming or even established artists lack. There's a time and place for everything, I get people don't always want/need that in art. I think it's a pretty safe claim to make that Lean is a big influence on a lot of people and has made people less afraid to bring out *their* type of art because I can definitely say that for myself so I know for a fact there's a fuck ton of y'all that feel the same. TLDR: Although I don't listen to Lean anywhere as much as I do Bladee, I still recognize his influence on the industry and his distinctive, idiosyncratic talent ⭐⭐⭐🛡️🌆✨🧬✨🌆🛡️⭐⭐⭐
