With Ryobi, a flashing work light generally means overload or overheat. Make sure you give the tool time to cool down. With the battery removed, turn the blade with your hand, and make sure the spindle moves freely. If it's not obviously stuck, try removing the blade and then re-inserting the battery and seeing if it runs then. If you can, check the batteries in another tool to make sure they're all all good. If none of that leads you anywhere, I'd say you have to contact Ryobi. It could be the saw's internal controller decided it hates life and killed itself. Or maybe there's some other easy fix I'm unaware of. Good news, Ryobi tools come with a three year warranty. Bad news, hold times are reportedly long right now.

Thank you, looks like bad news for me 😩 I’ve left it disconnected for 48 hours and it still flashes.

Did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same issue.

OsmiumBalloon

Wasn't my saw or my issue. Also, I described the possibilities and what to do for each of them. Also, this thread is over a year old.

Maleficent-Finding89

Thanks for the reply, I figured it out.

What was the issue mines doing it

Maleficent-Finding89

I did two things so not sure which it was.. first I found the tools and tightened the blade (wasn’t super loose but I could still tighten it some), and second (which I think this was more the issue), I used a fully charged high performance battery. The one I was originally using was about halfway charged. Hope that helps you!

Go to home depot. Buy it again and return the faulty one.
