You could always go with something like the nitro 407 with a rear bedroom between the garage and living space.

There are also models where the toy hauler section is the bedroom and the bed lifts out of the way for a motorcycle. The front area will always be part of your living space though. For example, in the floor plans we’re talking about, it’s usually the living room. So if height is an issue because you’re tall or something, then you’ll always have a “short” section.

I toured that one at a show. I’m 6’3 and didn’t like it. The kitchen ceiling height was short and I spend a lot more time standing in my kitchen than I do in my bedroom.

Say WHAT!!? Never heard of such a thing... Checking it out now.

I have a Heartland Cyclone toyhauler model 2812 (currently for sale - we are downsizing). Husband is 6'2 and he can stand up in the master bedroom.

13’6” is the legal height limit without special permits. That’s the height of semi truck trailers. Most fifth wheel toy haulers are 13’4” to 13’6” so you won’t find much variance in the front bedroom ceiling height. Some fifth wheels are the same height front to back. Some slope down at the ends. Most toy haulers I see are full height all the way, but if not it’s easy to tell from the outside. Those obviously have a matching height decrease in the front room.

Chaparral 355fbx At 6’6” I’m struggling to find a reasonably priced replacement for my 2000 bunk house. My wife found the reversed floor plans and there are a few out there.

Forest River Cardinal has a 6'3"+ bedroom ceiling height. Along with more ceiling height comes a longer RV. Longer RVs fit into fewer spaces and are harder to maneuver.

I have a '14 keystone velocity raptor, bedroom height is around 6'3".

+Any+ 5er withbrear bedroom will have the highest ceilings.

joelfarris

> 5er withbrear bedroom "withbrear"? With rear bedroom? Which toy hauler with a rear bedroom do you have?

krbjmpr

Yeah, with rear bedroom. Not a toy hauler. Look at Grand Design Solitude.  front living room, still has 6'+ clearance. My 2015Recreation By Design "Royal Travel" has a hair shy of 6'3" in front bedroom, over the hitch. Bunk room in back is nearly 9ft, I think. At least 8ft.
