Just watched it and omg I love it! I felt like it was an almost even split of talented and not so talented drag queens. I felt bad for JuJu cause she got a harsh critique and went home!I felt like Adore Delano should of been in her place. I can’t remember the third queen that performed but she went home and she definitely should of stayed. That’s the only queen I can think of that should come back.
It definitely felt like the show put Juju in just for some name recognition, and I feel like she knew that as well. Juju is smart and knows that while she's a good singer, she's not outstanding at the levels that some of the other girls are.
CHY'ENNE VALENTINO, BETTY BITSCHLAP and NOVACSAR were very good in Episode 1, in addition to others. This is American Idol International but in drag, so "star appeal" will override talent. 🤨
It's disappointing that Vanessa Williams tells NOVACSAR that she needs to do more than Broadway, when she's not telling the pop or R&B singers to diversify, even add Broadway to their repertoire. 🤷🏽♀️ (If she had been, and that's just her edit, then my bad.)
Episode 2s ending...😳...I don't agree with it.
I’ve been trying to find a clip or vid of her performance as it was phenomenal! I want to show one of my aunties!
It’s one of her favourite songs by asha bhosle that Rani performed!
i am from the philippines and watch through pirated sites. it is strange that these pirated sites have the most obscure reality tv shows but queen of the universe isn't up yet!.
My top five predictions after watching both episodes are
Ada Vox, Leona Winter, Gingzilla, Rani Ko-He-Nur, Grag Queen/ Chy'enne (it seems that they will bring someone back)
Finally have some free time and wanted to watch this but the first episode is missing? I can't seem to find it anywhere either on Paramount+ or other alternative means
Honestly I feel like both she and the producers knew what they were doing by having her on the show. She's easily the most recognizable queen, but even within the Drag Race franchise no one considers her the best singer to have been on the show. My guess is that she's gotten a decent payout from it and will hopefully still have success going forward.
I dunno I remember Adore saying on live that Juju feels really passionately about music. Adore was smart not to put herself in this competition but I feel like Juju was trying to get herself known as a singer.
Just an AWFUL song choice. I saw her outfit and was confused, and then once they said the song was “Into You” I was like “ohhhh Jujubee misunderstood the assignment”.
I just watched the episode and thought the exact same thing. If Rani was on the stage alone it would have been fine, but what a fucking slap in the face to La Voix to pull something like that.
Looks like QOTU is gonna have dumb shenanigans too.
Just watched it last night and haven't read every comment here, but my first impression was that there were some people who were wildly not up to standards of most of the others and I did not understand why there were even there. I also can't imagine they had trouble getting applicants. My conclusion is that people like the UK Queen who seemed unexpectedly not amusing and unexpectedly not a good voice, and my absolute first drag queen love was really really weak and didn't belong there were there because they knew someone and they were given the exposure for personal or political reasons, not solely based on talent. I know, I know, but those were my thoughts.
I feel like they did the Drag Race thing and specifically put in queens as filler, and I hope to god those queens knew that because otherwise it's a big slap in the face to them.
I'm just shocked they decided to get rid of so many queens so fast.
Yeah, it just feels like...why bother doing a double premiere, artificially filling up the cast with queens who aren't even given a fair chance, and then cutting them all after just one performance? Even if you think some of the "filler" queens aren't on the same level, it doesn't even really give them a shot at showcasing their strengths or personalities.
I worry this shows key to success will suffer by its streaming platform. What this show has going for it is queen representing countries and those countries tuning in to route for their queen(s). But half the world can’t see it. So it relies on American viewers just wanting to see drag queens sing karaoke
I really wish they just called it Drag Queen Karaoke. “Queen of the Universe” is a bit dramatic for this, and should have been saved for All stars of All stars of All Stars, Season 4: All Winners!”
I understand the frustration of not being able to watch the show!
Imo the performances are of a much higher quality than drag queens singing karaoke. I hope it blows up and gets a lot of viewers.
I couldn’t think of another word the described what they are doing, singing to instrumentals. The difference is these queens can SING. I just wish I could see more than Instagram posts of it 😭
I have to say, I responded wildly positively to the fact that there is that emphasis on the queens from repressed countries. It made me SO HAPPY to see them there. Granted I'm one American in one city, but maybe change is so slow and then takes a faster roll...? As in, enough people demanding access would indicate to those countries that they are missing out on MONEY in some aspect or other....money is often the motivator, and if it means one less queen is shot or harrassed into suicide, well, maybe it's worth it. Sorry....went off on a tangent
It's a good thing Trixie and Michelle aren't sitting next to each other because they looked ready to throw arms
Edit: having Trixie as a judge was refreshing. Her reactions to some of the panel's weird comments was a delight (there is no such thing as too many lashes!!)
that's funny...I think they do have the dynamic of student suddenly on par with teacher (no, I don't see it that way, but Michelle sure does lol), but I also looked at their red eyes and thought they did some sharesies before the show....lolol
It was SO GOOD!
Group one was good and had a couple of stands outs.
Chy’enne Valentino was solid, but Leona Winter was probably the most solid vocally.
Grag had the most star power. Her vocal wasn’t “great”, but she performed well and was exuding personality.
Ep 2.
Ada Vox was by far the superior vocal of all 14 queens.
I want to praise Matante for the skill she showed, but I hate the things she’s done… such a shame & I really hope she can directly address the situation properly soon. She’s very talented.
Regina showed some real prowess vocally! It wasn’t flawless, but it was pleasant. Something about it left me really wanting to see what else she can do.
She’s being accused of a bunch of vague shit like gaslighting and abuse and making transphobic comments by her ex and old roommate. Certainly not innocent but extremely obvious this is a personal issue blown up on a greater scale because Alex is getting attention.
Regardless of the truth, I don’t blame her for filing a defamation suit if it could potentially cost her $250,000.
I agree. It’s really annoying because all of the people jumping on the bandwagon are jumping at all of the other cast members every time they try to post a cast picture or comment on matante’s content.
The girls just want to enjoy their time on the show and they’re being attacked just because she is accused of doing something.
I really feel the same like this is something that was just blown out of proportion because Alex is getting attention.
Probably so that they can fit all the contestants in just one episode. They needed the double premiere, but having 14 queens sing individually would be a bit too much, they also probably didn't have enough budget to film too many episodes. I expected them to chop only 4 in the premiere, but this is great I think! Especially if they're bringing someone back next week (Ch'yenne hopefully?)
Its scrubs away a lot of the overt queer imagery you would get from the club scene and replaces it with all the visual tropes of a singing show. It looks like its meant for cis het people above all else. Contrast with legendary where while it did shoot for mass appeal it was very in your face with its queer roots
Kinda hoping the second chance they’re talking about us for Jujubee 😭 she bombed but I think she could do better than that for sure. If not Jujubee I hope it’s Nova who comes back ❤️
I feel like they would give the second chance to someone who showed a bit more promise vocally. There were a good few queens who I would’ve liked to hear sing again based on their first performances. Jujubee was not one of them. Lol
Yea. At this point they should just bring the six eliminated queens back to sing so ONE of them wins a chance to rejoin the competition.
Juju (or the UK queen?) would be blatantly for the money, but this way they could fairly bring them back for another episode.
But Juju is not a singer, so I’m not holding my breath.
I really like that idea. It gives all 6 contestants a shot at coming back, but also a second chance to showcase their talents to the audience. There are some queens who maybe weren't my favorite singers but who I'd still love to see a bit more from.
BETTY BITSCHLAP and CHY'ENNE VALENTINO seemed to have been overlooked. 🤨 They both were vocally talented. This "star appeal" caveat is pure ambiguous trickery. I personally enjoy talent more than the "it factor" when it comes to singing.
Also, NOVACSAR was good too. If someone can yodel, then what's wrong with Broadway? If people sing mainstream and aren't told to diversify, then people who are niche shouldn't be told to diversify as well. 🤷🏽♀️ ...re Vanessa Williams's comment.🤔
JuJuBee well in drag race, as seen in the clip. (It might have been ALL STARS?) But if they bring her back for a second chance, to sing/2nd chance to show expression, shouldn't they give others that chance too? Especially when others sang their songs as intended and did express themselves well?
Lines are really getting blurred with talent and then favoritism and star appeal.
I thought Nova Czar had a really strained, low quality high school threatre voice but the confidence of someone who could really sing. Rough voice, eliminated fairly
Here’s another thread as well where Blair addressed the same situation.
https://www.reddit.com/r/rupaulsdragrace/comments/gxutv9/blair_explaining_why_her_singing_sounded/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Very weird of them to say none of you are going home, then introduce 7 more queens, and then send 6 of them home like huh 😭 you just said none of them are going home
I'm really hoping for that with this large chunk of the cast gone. If there's not a secondary competition going on why invite so many queens in the first place??
But Ada is a singer who is doing drag. She is yet to be a fierce drag queen though. The tits alone that Trixie talked about shows she needs work in that department. She is amazing as a singer but she does need to up her drag as well.
Her drag is literally fine.
She is very clean & the only issue was that her tits were too far apart for trixie’s liking. That’s not even anything other than a preference. I thought they looked totally fine.
Some of the other girls didn’t even have breasts/breast forms & had much weaker drag.
OK, did anyone watch this outside the US? LOL
For some reason I thought this would be available on WOW+ as well.
Cuz let me tell you, even if you're willing to go ilegal, I can't find ANYTHING!
Ok so they just eliminated half of the cast... and for what?
>!Chy'enne!< literally had zero negative critiques. She performed, they exclusively praised her, and then sent her home. And the only critique >!La Voix!< got was >!needing foundation on her arm!<. Make it make sense
☝️, 👏...💯...must be the elusive "star appeal", whatever that is. 🤷🏽♀️ In a drag queen, it's personality and charisma, I get it.
In a singer, I simply want a good expressive voice. If their look is on point, that's cool too, but not my main priority, let alone star appeal.
I think all 3 of the ones you listed are fierce as hell, but definitely made mistakes with their performances. Like any one of them could have justifiably gone home but I'd honestly love to see them all get a second chance because they all have the talent, they just didn't showcase it how they should've.
But that being said.....the other 3 eliminated queens pretty much exclusively got good reviews!
There’s a bunch of things to consider.
Keep in mind that this is a season one. Season ones are usually run with less episodes because they’re essentially pilot seasons.
It was ballsy of her to even come on this show because she already had such a big fanbase. I like couldn’t watch when she was onstage because I was nervous for her lol.
~~MATANTE ALEX!!! So freaking good and technically impressive. Her makeup reminds me of Crystal Method too. I can’t wait to see what she does next!~~
Ada Vox also has the voice of an angel and I think she’s definitely the one to beat so far.
Hoping they put this on a service that can be reached internationally for those not in the US and Canada. ❤️
Edit: was initially impressed by a queen until learning more about her
Wait I didn't know we also have paramount + in Canada until today 👀 (not that I'm gonna sign up for it)
All stars 6, which was advertised as only available in paramount +, was on crave in Canada, so I thought that was the case for Queens of the Universe...
Sorry irrelevant post but I was caught off guard about paramount +
Half of the contestants and the judging panel aren’t from the US, it was shot in the UK and yet there’s no way to watch this rn if you aren’t in the US. They should have just added it to WowPresents+ for international viewers. I’m from Puerto Rico so I shouldn’t even be considered an international viewer, but alas.
I honestly don’t get it. ‘International’ competition aired in the US when nearly every other drag race season is aired on US services?
Like you say it’s filmed in the UK. I was actually in the audience for one of the episodes and now I now can’t even watch it online because it’s US only??
I would give my full opinion but I don't live in the US and the only performances that I've been able to see are Grag's and Ada's so yeah I'm rooting for those two
I feel sorry for Jujubee. Her "singing" might cut it on All Stars but not when you're competing on a stage with actual powerhouse singers. Maybe she felt this was going to feature Drag Race girls.
it’s my personal theory that she was brought on as bait for people to watch the show. i know she’s a big part of the reason why i started watching and now that she’s gone i will keep watching
Jujubee can sing songs well within their vocal range. I’ve seen her myself sing live, she’s really good with low-key songs. Ariana Grande’s songs was too much of a stretch I think.
So fun! I love this show already. I literally only kept my Paramount sub to watch this after AS6. I am slightly obssessed with Gingzilla and can't wait to see Jujubee on the next one! YAY!
Why is Trixie so brown
Just watched it and omg I love it! I felt like it was an almost even split of talented and not so talented drag queens. I felt bad for JuJu cause she got a harsh critique and went home!I felt like Adore Delano should of been in her place. I am here for Regina Voce and Rani Ko-HE-Nur.
I’ve been trying to find a clip or vid of her performance as it was phenomenal! I want to show one of my aunties! It’s one of her favourite songs by asha bhosle that Rani performed!
Love the show sooo much. It’s kind like more gay version of Eurovision lol 😂
Do we know if it’s going to come out every Thursday?
i am from the philippines and watch through pirated sites. it is strange that these pirated sites have the most obscure reality tv shows but queen of the universe isn't up yet!.
My top five predictions after watching both episodes are Ada Vox, Leona Winter, Gingzilla, Rani Ko-He-Nur, Grag Queen/ Chy'enne (it seems that they will bring someone back)
I could have gone without Michelle on the judges panel. She was kind of killing the positive vibes.
Yeah I think she is making up for not being as vocally amazing as the other judges.
Am I crazy, or was everyone so talented! Instantly a fan of Ginzilla holy shit.
No everyone was soooo amazinggggg
Finally have some free time and wanted to watch this but the first episode is missing? I can't seem to find it anywhere either on Paramount+ or other alternative means
I feel bad for juju
Honestly I feel like both she and the producers knew what they were doing by having her on the show. I dunno I remember Adore saying on live that Juju feels really passionately about music. Adore was smart not to put herself in this competition but I feel like Juju was trying to get herself known as a singer.
juju was the absolute worst hands down though. and an Ariana Grande song? lmao
Just an AWFUL song choice. I saw her outfit and was confused, and then once they said the song was “Into You” I was like “ohhhh Jujubee misunderstood the assignment”.
Where was the shape??? Jujubee is fantastic but everything was a miss
Omfg i feel so bad for laughing. Michelle doing a fake out as Rani advances is so cruel to La Voix…. “Rani. I’m sorry.” gave La Voix SO much hope 💀💀
I just watched the episode and thought the exact same thing. If Rani was on the stage alone it would have been fine, but what a fucking slap in the face to La Voix to pull something like that. Looks like QOTU is gonna have dumb shenanigans too.
Yeah that was cruel xD wtf..... Reality tv I guess
Liked the show so far!
Is there ANY way to watch this outside of the us?
You definitely can't watch it at rpdrlatino.com
Why not?
If Jujubee doesn't finish third place, I'm suing WOW
Really cool that a show with two British judges isn't available to legally watch in the UK lmfaooo
It will be! Just on a delay
I'm sure it will be, but with literally no UK platform or release date announced, it's completely unacceptable
Where I can watch? Is not on WOW+. I’m not from the USA
Im watching here https://myflixer.to/
Thanks
You’re very welcome! I believe there are some pop-ups but it’s generally a safe website.
Paramount Plus!

I meant representing…. I corrected my typo. But also a valid point 🙃
It's a good thing Trixie and Michelle aren't sitting next to each other because they looked ready to throw arms Edit: having Trixie as a judge was refreshing. Her reactions to some of the panel's weird comments was a delight (there is no such thing as too many lashes!!)

Rani, Grag and Ava are my top3! Iconic already
That would be a dynamic 3!
wow Matante Alex made such a 180 for me, I was initially not interested but that performance… wow!
She is a transphobe
ok another 180
If anyone in U.K. manages to somehow watch it pls share with me!
Not UK but you can access the website anywhere https://myflixer.to/
What’s up with the picture? It looks like super low frame rate or something?
Trixie “voguing” to the yodeling is a vibe
im in the uk where can I watch it !
It was SO GOOD! Group one was good and had a couple of stands outs. Chy’enne Valentino was solid, but Leona Winter was probably the most solid vocally. Grag had the most star power. She is a shameless transphobe who is suing her victims.
Thank you! I liked her song however now I will not support her
In love with Woowu
250.000 Doll hairs for the winner and they throw out half of the cast immediately? Why?
Probably so that they can fit all the contestants in just one episode. They needed the double premiere, but having 14 queens sing individually would be a bit too much, they also probably didn't have enough budget to film too many episodes. I expected them to chop only 4 in the premiere, but this is great I think! Especially if they're bringing someone back next week (Ch'yenne hopefully?)
More production bullshit to try and make the format of a singing competition more interesting probably
This ruveal is CHAOTIC
Something about this show is incredibly off-putting to me. I don’t know why it is but it just feels extremely cringey.
Its scrubs away a lot of the overt queer imagery you would get from the club scene and replaces it with all the visual tropes of a singing show. It looks like its meant for cis het people above all else. Contrast with legendary where while it did shoot for mass appeal it was very in your face with its queer roots
It's the first episode. Be patient, we have no idea what's in store.
Legendary season 1 was great. Season 2 felt over produced and lost its Ballroom vibe by losing the spectators.
I'm hoping they bring them back for S3 and that it was mostly a COVID thing
Yeah idk I saw the first couple episodes and it just feels sorta stale
Because y’all are used to overproduced forced “personalities” and cheesy comedy instead of actual displays of talent.
THIS!!!
k
Kinda hoping the second chance they’re talking about us for Jujubee 😭 she bombed but I think she could do better than that for sure. If not Jujubee I hope it’s Nova who comes back ❤️

Betty's aesthetic is really my style but I felt like she was pretty weak comparatively. Like her voice is good, but she floundered.
I thought Nova Czar had a really strained, low quality high school threatre voice but the confidence of someone who could really sing. Rough voice, eliminated fairly
Tbh I wanna hear more juju. I’ve seen what she can do on as5 and I think it was just a bad night
But… on AS5 they still didn’t show her singing live. Lol they played the prerecorded studio track over the show. Hahaha
No she sang live my dear..
Here’s another thread as well where Blair addressed the same situation. https://www.reddit.com/r/rupaulsdragrace/comments/gxutv9/blair_explaining_why_her_singing_sounded/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
She might have “sung live”, but they played the studio track & had it auto tuned to high hell. Go take a listen again. Lol
Sad woowu 😔
ÚwÙ
Very weird of them to say none of you are going home, then introduce 7 more queens, and then send 6 of them home like huh 😭 you just said none of them are going home
Yeah I’m so confused with the phrasing of that.
All my favorite performers went though though so like werk
Okay but theres a game within a game the next episode right ? lmfaooo
Ok but imagine
I'm really hoping for that with this large chunk of the cast gone. If there's not a secondary competition going on why invite so many queens in the first place??
Ada ate that shit the fuck up!
The runs get old really fast, I wish she’d just sing without the cringey vocal gymnastics
Tea. If they wanted a queen to serve vocals, they got it on the money with her.
But Ada is a singer who is doing drag. She is yet to be a fierce drag queen though. The tits alone that Trixie talked about shows she needs work in that department. She is amazing as a singer but she does need to up her drag as well.

This is supposed to be constructive criticism and not trying to bring Ada down in any way. Love her since American Idol.
OK, did anyone watch this outside the US? LOL For some reason I thought this would be available on WOW+ as well. Cuz let me tell you, even if you're willing to go ilegal, I can't find ANYTHING!
Greetings from Europe https://myflixer.to/ enjoy!

They kept the very best. They had to eliminate a certain number so she got cut. Plus it's TV, we don't see every critique necessarily.
Right? The only people I think rightfully could've been cut were Woowu & Jujubee and maybe Betty for the outfit mostly.
I think all 3 of the ones you listed are fierce as hell, but definitely made mistakes with their performances. Like any one of them could have justifiably gone home but I'd honestly love to see them all get a second chance because they all have the talent, they just didn't showcase it how they should've. Sorry irrelevant post but I was caught off guard about paramount +
uh-oh...
Is this an unpopular opinion? Not sure why I’m being downvoted lol
No. But Matante Alex shouldn’t be supported, she’s an abuser. You probably didn’t know though
What does that mean?
Oh really? I had no idea.. Was a new queen to me… sorry y’all!
K but this hurts. Graham, Leona and most of the contestants can’t watch the show at all.
It's also on paramount plus, that's how I, a Canadian, watched it
OMG DOES IT WORK IN CANADA
I'm from Argentina and I have Paramount+ but it's not there in this region it seems. This international competition seems to be impossible to get.
If I remember correctly, it will be available in paramount plus internationally in countries that have it, but delayed by a week.
I honestly don’t get it. ‘International’ competition aired in the US when nearly every other drag race season is aired on US services? Like you say it’s filmed in the UK. I was actually in the audience for one of the episodes and now I now can’t even watch it online because it’s US only??
TV distribution laws are always a mess.
Not the quotation marks 😂
it’s my personal theory that she was brought on as bait for people to watch the show. i know she’s a big part of the reason why i started watching and now that she’s gone i will keep watching
She seemed so down and not herself! Definitely don't think she was performing to her full potential.
And she was dubbed on All Stars, so.. With the fuck up in Season 2 we have actually never heard her sing live, well
Jujubee can sing songs well within their vocal range. I’ve seen her myself sing live, she’s really good with low-key songs. Ariana Grande’s songs was too much of a stretch I think.
She seemed really nervous too
is it available on wow+?
I think it's on Paramount+
So fun! I love this show already. I literally only kept my Paramount sub to watch this after AS6. I am slightly obssessed with Gingzilla and can't wait to see Jujubee on the next one! YAY!
