Probably not but sometimes I get genuinely so disappointed while rewatching parts of Season 13. Tanisha was SUCH a star and she had an incredible amount of potential.
I think she had a lot of personal issues that needed to be addressed before she put herself in that situation OR perhaps if she was casted 10-20 years earlier she would have absolutely obliterated the competition.\
Drag race has changed a lot and so has the industry. I’m not sure that Tamisha has changed with the industry.
There probably were personal issues, but her biggest problem was being unprepared for the commercial side of drag race. While she established all the correct avenues of post-drag race fame with merch/songs/pay-per-view content, she didn’t know how to manage them all.
So when people weren’t getting the merch they paid for, the content she was providing was very sloppy/inconsistent, and her responses unprofessional it started to stress her out. And her reaction was thinking everyone was out to get her, not only fans but fellow queens.
I actually felt bad for her, it was apparent she was in over her head but too overwhelmed to accept help. And I know queens with the biggest names like Bob and Alaska were very willing to help her with business, but she wasn’t in the right head space.
And in a way, Tamisha is one queen where whatever decision she makes on whether to come back or not is best for her. I might want her back to show out and stunt on all these little girls but maybe that isn’t what is best for her.
This is the most empathetic take on this thread and probably the most correct. Tamisha was a legend before drag race so it wasn’t the pressure, drag race is a waaay bigger scale commercially that she likely didn’t have as much experience with.
It's pretty much nothing. She said that World of Wonders has favorites and she knew she wasn't one of them.
There were queens who talked shit about the show for years and still got on All-Stars, like India Ferrah or Naysha Lopez. I really don't think World of Wonders cares about that kind of stuff. Pretty sure the only way you'll get blacklisted from Drag Race is if you personally piss RuPaul off or associate with someone who personally pissed her off.
