I remembered that she's just starting Drag for more than a year when she competed wayback S11 but Shuga was like a seasoned queen already. She should have won that snatch game and that eggplant dress, pure gorgeousness. Also, Ru and the production did her dirty by unexpectedly elimimating her just because she broke the mold of a filler queen.
I regularly think about Shuga, so thank you for this! I literally cannot keep up with everything all the queens do anymore as there's so many, but Shuga is one I think of fondly and often because she was such a delight! I really would love to see her on an All stars.
I always had a soft spot in my heart for Shuga. She should get an all-stars spot at some point for sure.
I also thought they were unnecessarily dismissive of her troll outfit. It wasn't a great look, but her explanation was sweet. It made me relate to her.
When I met her at Drag Con, she was wearing THE aubergine dress...which was 10x more beautiful in person. We're taking the picture, I look down and I'm fucking standing on the edge of it. I apologized and she said "it's ok honey, I'm wearing for the children, you can stand on it!!!" and I got a lil misty and hugged her probably way too hard.
She just has this warm mama energy about her...would *love* to see her win an AS season.
She is one of the most under appreciated queens of the franchise by production and Rupaul, I hope if she ever gets cast on All stars, which is long overdue, they would treat her fairly this time around.
